Veteran investigative journalist Catherine Herridge, whom CBS News laid off last week, shared a statement on Friday that appeared to confirm that the network had seized notes from her office after she had been let go in an unusual and heavy-handed manner that called into question the network’s motives.
Herridge, who reported on the Justice Department and other national security matters, had been reporting on the Hunter Biden laptop scandal for the network and was in the middle of a First Amendment case after refusing to turn over to an Obama-appointed federal judge the name of a source for an investigative piece she wrote for Fox News in 2017.

There may be subtle differences between normal employment and juournalism employment, but everything that I do while on the clock at work belongs to my employer. Especially if I store it at my office.

SeeBS is Enemedia. Herridge was an honest reporter.....Truth is forbidden by the Enemedia, so she was fired for putting out forbidden information on the DC Uniparty Criminal Cabal.
She should find a job at an honest news outlet.

#1, the article explains that is not the case . And really, how practical would it be to run home to use a notebook, etc., for example,
in the middle of putting together a report? A reporter has a reasonable expectation that they can have info they need, even confidential info, stored where they work. I mean, that's clearly been the case until now.

How often are we told to back files and notes to a separate hard drive and store that drive separate from the main computer? Hopefully Herridge kept a copy of her work at home away from SeeBS.

I have never heard anything the Herridge wrote, I never heard of her, I do not know her politics, but if she worked for CBS for a number of years there is no way I can consider her an honest Journalist. If she were honest she would have been fired by CBS a long time ago. That's my opinion I feel the same way about anyone who works for the WAPO, the Slimes MSNBC or CNN.

Catherine Herridge for many years was a big star at Fox News. For some reason she either left there or was let go maybe some four or five years ago, and then was hired by CBS. She's a great reporter ... sorry about all these problems she's having.

RE #5, she's been a pretty honest reporter, trying to do news reports, not political propaganda.

An honest reporter is not a good fit at any left wing operation. They are loony leftists and only want loony leftist reporters.

#5 must live under a rock. Fox News apparently did not appreciate her honesty either.

I 'm 99.999% SURE that SEEBS will give the source info to the FBLIE so they can arrest anyone they don't like for doing NOTHING!

Of course, if Herridge was working on a negative story about Trump, CBS would have provided her extra staff to help. The only reason CBS would have done this is political in nature. Herridge must have been getting too close to revealing info the WH didn't want out there. I wonder how many of the people 'laid off' along with Herridge were just collateral damage to make her release look like a normal layoff process. We are living in a giant Democrat/republican DC cover up of immense lawbreaking and money laundering. Everyone in DC is suspect - everyone. All three branches of govt are involved.
