Catherine Herridge Laid Off by CBS in
'Blood Bath' Firing of Hundreds - She

Catherine Herridge, probably the best reporter that CBS has, as well as about 20 other CBS reporters, were let go in a blood bath firing by Paramount Global, with 800 people total losing their jobs. The Washington Bureau, where they covered national security and intelligence, was hit hard. Herridge just posted on X Monday about more damaging news to Joe Biden, noting that the House Oversight Committee wanted the transcript of the Hur interview with Joe Biden, and they expressed concerns about Biden retaining potentially sensitive documents related to specific countries involving his family’s foreign business dealings.

Comments:

Wishing Catherine a freer voice and even more success in being heard, à la Tucker Carlson.

This is a bottom line move. Get rid of all the high priced help and hire a no name to read the pre-approved news. I am reminded of a cartoon showing Cheryl Attkisson leaving CBS and taking the C with her, leaving only the BS.

scuttlebutt i see is that they used Budget needs to cover dismissal of their 'problems.' Catherine Herridge had an annoying habit of reporting facts not narrative and also has a 1st A case which i think is still pending (refusal to name source) so she headed that list. we'll see who is lucky enough to put her under contract.

Veteran investigative journalist Catherine Herridge, whom CBS News laid off last week, shared a statement on Friday that appeared to confirm that the network had seized notes from her office after she had been let go in an unusual and heavy-handed manner that called into question the network’s motives. Herridge, who reported on the Justice Department and other national security matters, had been reporting on the Hunter Biden laptop scandal for the network and was in the middle of a First Amendment case after refusing to turn over to an Obama-appointed federal judge the name of a source for an investigative piece she wrote for Fox News in 2017.

Hawaii's highest court ruled Wednesday that Second Amendment rights as interpreted by the U.S. Supreme Court do not extend to Hawaii citizens, citing the "spirit of Aloha." In the ruling, which was penned by Hawaii Supreme Court Justice Todd Eddins, the court determined that states "retain the authority to require" individuals to hold proper permits before carrying firearms in public. The decision also concluded that the Hawaii Constitution broadly "does not afford a right to carry firearms in public places for self defense," further pointing to the "spirit of Aloha" and even quoting HBO's TV drama "The Wire."

There was never a purer demonstration of how traitorous Democrats are about “defending democracy,” or whatever corny phrase they like to use, than what just happened at the Supreme Court. At the very end of oral arguments in the Colorado case determining whether the state had the right to remove former President Donald Trump’s name from the 2024 ballot, Justice Samuel Alito asked the state’s solicitor general, Shannon Stevenson, what’s going to happen if other states “retaliate” by, say, removing Joe Biden from theirs. Elected officials in at least six states have suggested it as a course of action.
