CVS and Walgreens will start selling the abortion pill mifepristone this month at certain pharmacy locations in states where it is legal to do so, spokespeople for the companies told CNBC on Friday. CVS and Walgreens received certification from the Food and Drug Administration to dispense the commonly used pill at their retail pharmacies, spokespeople for each company said in separate statements. CVS will begin filling prescriptions for the medication in Massachusetts and Rhode Island in the coming weeks, a spokesperson for the company said. They added that CVS will expand to additional states, "where allowed by law, on a rolling basis."

This is horrific. The Dems once had an abortion slogan about "legal, safe and rare." There is nothing "safe" about mifepristone and it will make abortion anything but "rare". However, it is bargain basement cheap and Planned Parenthood doesn't need so many surgery centers that attract Pro-Life demonstrators. Young women, even teenagers, are given the first pill at the "clinic" and then sent home with the second pill to take by themselves. Then, usually alone in the bathroom they miscarry their baby without any assistance, without any pain medication, and must dispose of the remains themselves by flushing them down the toilet...often after scooping them off the floor. If there are any complications, the woman is on her own. This is the humane medical care offered by the ghouls of Death party. Pro-Life is Pro-Woman, Pro-Man, Pro-Children and Pro-Family.

#2&4, and those of the same mind: Have you ever considered that the majority of these "women" are teenagers or in their early twenties? Or that the "men" who impregnated them are not offering to put a ring on their fingers, or to be fathers to their babies? Have you considered the society these young women have been raised? They have been educated in our progressive public schools, and more than likely have had little or no exposure to any religion. They have been indoctrinated to believe that they "just missed a period", and as long as "they take care of it" quickly with this simple pill all will be well. They are not told the details about what they are to experience, without any pain medication and without any assistance. Now, they are left on their own. Many have died, alone on their bathroom floor. Planned Parenthood doesn't care. Apparently you agree with Planned Parenthood.

The good news is that Planned Parenthood will be reduced to doing mid-term abortions. If the pill is enhanced for later usage, it may have to go BK. The unintended consequences of progress. The Pill, of course, already exists. At some point, there may be a reversible vaccine to prevent pregnancy. Some doctors may have to actually practice medicine. And what about the campaign issue being lost? Oh, the humanity.

Walgreens has already been openly hypocritical, pulling their tobacco products a few years ago on claims that it was contrary to their health-promotion mission for them to sell death-causing products. But they've been selling the Plan-B abortifacient contraceptive. And this doubles down on that hypocrisy.

The morning after pill? Probably wont be a popular opinion here but I think it should be widely available to women. Takes the abortion issue right off the table IMO. Wont happen though cause some on my side believe that even the next day after copulation taking this pill would be murder. And dim-0s wont do it cause they dont want to lose the issue to use on women at election time.

After watching what happened with covid, it is clear that our FDA cares nothing about the safety of our drugs. CVS and Walgreens should pay a heavy price for selling this. I hope Costco doesn't join in - that's where I plan to get my meds.

The dudes who impregnate these young women should be subject to having a gonad removed after causing the first pregnancy. Then the second one should be removed after causing the second pregnancy. Just remember, dudes, there's only two.

Everyone should lay off CVS and Walgreens. They sell drugs. Period. Not morality. If people don't want abortion drugs to be sold it's the government they need to talk to. In the meantime, if a drug is approved by the FDA, Walgreens and CVS should be selling it.

Is the Establishment Trying to Push Biden Out? 1 reply

This topic comes up frequently enough that it bears consideration, and even perhaps multiple considerations between now and the Democrat convention in Chicago, which is scheduled for the third week in August. Assuming Biden is still in the race until then, that is. I lean heavily toward the view that Biden will remain the candidate, barring a health crisis. At the same time, Steve Hayward over at Powerline indicates that he believes the word has gone out to the MSM that taking Biden out is a priority. Which, to be fair, is not the same as predicting Biden will be replaced, as he

Former Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz said in an interview released Sunday that he never had any conversations with President Joe Biden or Vice President Kamala Harris when he worked in their administration. Ortiz appeared on CBS’s 60 Minutes on Sunday to discuss the illegal-immigration crisis at the Southern border and the dispute between Texas governor Greg Abbott (R) and the Biden administration over border enforcement. “I’ve never had one conversation with the president or the vice president for that matter. That’s a problem,” Ortiz said. He was Border Patrol chief under Biden and deputy chief under former president Donald Trump before retiring last year.

As Super Tuesday makes an historic rematch all but official, voters are comparing not just two presidents, but two presidencies. And right now former President Donald Trump emerges from that comparison as the frontrunner. He leads President Biden by four points nationally, his largest lead to date. Here's why: Voters recall the economy under Trump more fondly than they rate the economy now. (For the record, in 2019 people did indeed rate the economy well, but views cratered in Trump's last year in office, during the pandemic.) This is the case, despite the fact that views of today's economy keep inching up. That's not helping Mr. Biden yet

The city has been plagued by police staffing shortages and longer 911-call response times since the Austin City Council voted to defund the police department in 2020. Last week, the shortages resulted in a section of the city being completely without any police officers for a few hours. Just when the White House thought the worst had passed regarding The New York Times' disastrous poll for Joe Biden, Sunday morning brought us the second half of the equation. In the first release, the survey showed Donald Trump leading the current president by five points. That led to a bout of cross-tab "truther-ism" in which liberals showed they have no idea how polling works. Whatever penchant Republicans had for dismissing or trying to "un-skew" polls in past cycles, Democrats have firmly taken up that mantle, and it's hilarious to see. Astonishingly, the second half of the Times' results may be worse than what came out on Saturday. Specifically, Biden

In interpreting criminal statutes, it seems to me that Courts should not be creative and expansively read into them things that the legislature which writes the laws did not clearly proscribe as illegal, and it appears that finally, courts higher than the highly partisan D.C. Circuit judges understand that.
