Johns Hopkins Hospital has sparked outrage after its DEI chief sent out a letter labeling all white people, Christians, men and English-speakers as 'privileged'.
The letter, posted on Twitter by End Wokeness, was written by Chief Diversity Officer Sherita Hill Golden, was part of the 'monthly diversity digest'.
A furious hospital employee shared the memo with the Twitter account. In it, Dr. Hill explains that 'privilege' is the 'diversity word of the month'.
To explain who the phrase applies to, she offered a list. It reads: 'Privilege is characteristically invisible to people who have it.
'White people, able-bodied people, heterosexuals, cisgender people, males Christians,

The most privileged people in the country today are blacks and the alphabet crowd. You’re right, Sherita, the people who have it can’t see it - that would be YOU.
This creature needs to get the Claudine Gay treatment.

What a shame. Johns Hopkins used to be one of the most respected medical institutions in the world because they concentrated on quality healthcare and research. Now they are reduced to putting out this woke crap.

I'm glad I left. I know when I worked there, I never felt that I was privileged. The only privileged people at Hopkins are the doctors, specifically the surgeons. Everyone else is viewed as a peon.

Last I heard, freedom of religion is not a "privilege" but a right under the First Amendment to our Constitution.
Why is it so many professors can't tell the difference between a right and a privilege? Why do they tolerate, and sometimes teach hatred when it comes to religion?

Y'all are missing that she is awkwardly giving left-handed compliment to everyone who are NOT "whites, able bodied, heterosexual, cisgendered, male, christian, middle or owning class, middle aged or English speaking" -- that they are impaired and imperfect.

I suspect this is a check-box for them. They have their DEI Dean. So they're covered. I don't believe the school (meaning the board of directors) actually believes this stuff. But the problem is the students and faculty end up thinking this is what it's about. It's poor ideals to give it much attention. DEI should be, "ok, all, let's make sure we're not being jerks to someone". Instead it's become, "Listen to me and I will tell you how to think."

Bet your @$$ I'm "privileged!" Privileged to have had 2 great parents who raised me well. Privileged to have served 21 years on the military and lived to tell about it. Privileged to have a job I like, with great pay. Privileged I've got a work ethic and have busted my @$$ to be be able to live comfortably. Actually, I'm blessed beyond belief!

Miss Golden is an ignorant affirmative-action hire. Ignorance, incompetence, sense of entitlement are what you get with this kind of hire, no merit involved. Johns Hopkins mothers and dads, do you realize that the tuitiion you pay for your kid covers this woman's cushy salary for little work.... well, maybe running her mouth... in a sinecure? And Johns Hopkins gets to claim, oh no, we're not rayciss, oh no, never never.

About 6 years ago, I had a conversation with a woman whose husband was a nurse at Johns Hopkins Hospital. The hospital is not in a nice area. The employees had been told to not use their cellphones while walking in that neighborhood. It's best to constantly be alert.
Also, when driving thru that neighborhood, always leave a distance between the cars when stopped for a stop sign or traffic light. If something is happn'g to the car in front of you, you have a way to drive away to safety.

Sherita? "nuff said. I guess it's another Claudine Gay who got her grades because of skin color. Amazing how racist these 6th century stone age people from Afrika are. In their country they did not know how to read, write or do arithmetic. I forgot, that's raciss' anything to do with numbers. None of the people that this moronic dame mentioned are 'entitled' unless they were given or inherited gazillions. Most of us worked. So, stand down you stupid black woman even if you have a degree in something or other. I have met enough people in my life who have degrees but are dumber than a brick.

From the letter: "People in dominant groups often believe they have earned the privileges they enjoy or that everyone could have access to these privileges if only they worked to earn them."
So... this applies to majority black populations in Africa? Unadulterated racism.

Re #22. A friend who is now a college professor research scientist arrived in about 1976 at Johns Hopkins to do his post graduate research work. He parked his car on the street across from the JH main building and walked over to check in. In the 30 minutes or so doing this, he returned to his car....it had been broken into, and everything stolen. The biggest loss for him was his research microscope slides and photographs...which were of exactly zero value to the thieves. He felt really like he'd been treated badly, until two days later.
Another post grad student arrived, did the same basic thing, but he was assaulted on the street and shot and killed on his first hour in the hell that Baltimore was 50 years ago. it's almost certainly more dangerous now.

re #2. Us the shifted comma key in front, then the shifted period key behind the letter i to start italics. Then the same "less than" in front, the right leaning slash and lower case i followed by the greater than sign (shifted period). The first starts italics, the second stops them.
Good luck.

Just like wasteful government spending, how much is the country needlessly throwing down the tubes, or rather wealth distributing, with all this DIE crudola? Everyone is concerned about inflation due to stupid Dem policies yet companies are blowing tons of dollars at a corporate level with this type of BS.

Perhaps it's time we begin stripping Americans of citizenship and deporting them to Liberia, Libya, or Laos, whichever will take them. And if none of them find a use for them, well then, we just airdrop them into the Amazon jungle with a pack full of goodies and a six-gun with one round in the cylinder for that, "final decision."

#10, I never worked there but was a patient in their high risk pregnancy division back in 1989. Patients were no more than a number to be moved along. It felt like being a new recruit going through the medical phase of boot camp. And they were left wing back then - I refused an amniocentesis on the grounds that the only reason to have one was to be given the option of an abortion if something was wrong with the baby. They were horrified when I told them that I would happily accept whatever child God gave me.
