Jack Smith asks court to ban Trump from
introducing evidence of Jan. 6 security failures

Special Counsel Jack Smith's office asked a federal judge Wednesday to prevent former President Donald Trump from introducing evidence at his Jan. 6 criminal trial concerning selective prosecution and security failures that occurred at the Capitol or making arguments his actions were protected by the First Amendment, suggesting such a defense amounted to politics.

Comments:

Illegally-appointed Jackboot Smith - - is terrified that President Trump may introduce evidence which exposes Jackboot as a communist thug.

When the prosecution is itself political, wouldn't one's defense be as well? Duhhh! Smith is such a tool. But all of these lawfare attacks have been deliberate attempts to politically derail Trump not really caring whether convictions actually take place.

According to Jack O. Smith, Trump caused it and evidence of intervening causes - evidence that something else caused it - must be suppressed. I must say, isn’t this reaching a point where even The Gullibles will stir from their slumber?

Jackboot Smith knows that if Mr. Trump is allowed to submit evidence of his innocence, its all over for his effort to interfere with the 2024 election. What about DUE PROCESS and the honored fact that someone is considered INNOCENT until proven guilty after a trial of his peers to determine the judgement of the facts and not political attacks.

Isn't this interesting... Trump is being accused of "insurrection" by some, and instigating by others, or failing to do XYZ for 3 hours, and yet Jack Smith doesn't want him to be able to defend himself against those accusations? He doesn't want it to be known that he offered 10,000 troops, but was rejected by the DC Mayor, in a very specific written reply? He doesn't want it to be known that the Speaker of the House had authority over protecting the Capitol Building? Trump didn't have authority over the entities who were in charge of protecting DC and the Capitol building, and the whole incident was over in 3 hours. And, since Pelosi declared an emergency, they didn't have to go through the EC votes by each state and have members of Congress comment or dispute any of the EC votes that particular day (not the normal process or procedure generally followed over decades).

Our nation seems to pay little attention to the origins, intent, and value of Due Process any more. And the mainstream media generally ignore it, unless it serves the interests of their globalist narrative. Increasingly, the Republicans pay lip service to our Constitution, and the Democrats stopped even pretending to support it.

Jack, why don't' you just bring the gallows and the hangman to the start of the trial. I'm sure the judge would approve it as a part of the defendant's right to a "speedy trial."

For those of you who are under the assumption that we have not experienced a coup d’etat on November 3, 2020, this is a clear indicator that we have. When due process is abandoned, how can the Republic remain the working foundation of our government? It cannot. This is why we are experiencing the boundless lawlessness that democrats are pushing down our throats. Whether it be truth or not, democrats are going forth as if they are the source of justice. Anything to the contrary is simply denied. They have trampled due process and the rule of law. Who could do that in a Constitutional Republic without having control of the judiciary? No one would dare take the actions this administration has unless they know they have the power to hold on to the power they stole. We are on the other side of a coup d’etat. What is different about this is that Americans are armed. Barring that, democrats would go full bore against all our freedoms. The Second Amendment is a real problem for democrats and they know the only solution is the ultimate one and I believe they will gladly implement it when the time comes. I know this sounds insane, but please explain to me how you see democrats ever being a part of a peaceful transfer of power should they lose in 2024. If you don’t think this cabal and all its minions throughout the media, academia, illegal invaders, corporate entities and even our judiciary would not stand with this corrupt administration, you are naive. They have come this far and I do not see how they will just capitulate to the will of the people. They have already denied our will in 2020, now they will double down to retain their stranglehold on this nation.

The White House sent Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Wednesday to meet with Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, hoping to obtain his assistance in slowing the wave of migrants crossing through his country on their way to ours. The resulting “Joint Communique” from that parley reveals Mexico City has no interest in assisting an administration that won’t secure US borders. The trip itself, scheduled during a holiday week when little gets done in either capital, reeked of desperation, and nothing in that communiqué dispels the stench.

New testing shows that some popular electric vehicles fall short of their government-estimated driving ranges, underscoring anxiety Americans have about the range of electric vehicles. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency range estimates listed on electric vehicle window stickers and at fueleconomy.gov don't have separate city and highway ranges, as they do with conventional cars and hybrids. Consumer Reports, the nonprofit research, testing, and consumer advocacy organization, put electric vehicles to the test.
