While Social Security is set to increase by 3.2 percent in 2024, many seniors are worried about how the limited inflation adjustment will keep them afloat. [SNIP] The concerns are growing, as nearly three in five seniors said they were struggling financially, and 70 percent of single seniors already struggle with their existing Social Security income. The ramifications of the small COLA boost could be severe, with around two in five seniors saying they plan to seek employment due to the modest increase. For single seniors specifically, 47 percent said they would consider employment to supplement their incomes.

A mother has been left horrified by the prices at Disney World after she had to fork out a staggering $70 for a bowl of cereal for her daughter.
Autumn Scott took to TikTok to showcase the hefty costs at the Cinderella's Royal Table resort restaurant in Orlando, Florida.
She filmed travel companion Kaitlin LeBeouf, from Louisiana, who was left dismayed at the pricing. The mom-of-two had paid a standard fee of $69 per person for the breakfast buffet menu - but to her dismay, her daughter only chose to enjoy a single bowl of cereal, meaning that the simple dish cost her mom nearly $70.

President Joe Biden warned Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday that Israel might lose international support over its post-war plans for Gaza.
At a Democratic fundraiser in Washington, D.C., Biden called the current Israeli government the “most conservative government in Israel’s history” and added that Netanyahu “doesn’t want a two-state solution,” which Biden said needs to change.
“Israel’s security can rest on the United States, but right now it has more than the United States. It has the European Union, it has Europe, it has most of the world. . . . But they’re starting to lose that support by indiscriminate bombing that takes place,” Biden said.

Bidenomics is failing America, infecting the land with a persistent and intensifying cynicism, despite attempts by the White House and a partisan press to impose misleading narratives on the electorate.
For example, the media rushed to heap praise upon last week’s modestly constructive jobs report. The actual numbers reveal a mixed bag – not a terrible report, but certainly not a parade-worthy one, either.
The 199,000 jobs added in November sits below the average for the year 2023, and far off the prior levels of 2021 and 2022. Regarding jobs added since Biden took office, the easy part is over, meaning the task of regaining the lost jobs resulting from the COVID

And he's learning the hard way that Republicans don't nominate true-blue conservatives.
As Donald Trump leads every poll by double-digits, the Florida governor who seemed such a promising prospect just a year ago is now at risk of falling to third place.
If Nikki Haley bests DeSantis in Iowa, his 2024 campaign won't be the only casualty; his hopes of ever becoming president will dim, and rivals won't fear him as they look to '28 or '32. How did DeSantis go from a 19-point reelection only a year ago to a fight for his political life today?

I find myself thinking of a six-year-old boy called Desmond I met in Turkana county, Kenya, who died from severe acute malnutrition on the same day. His death was the result of a climate-induced drought that has left millions of people on the brink of starvation in the Horn of Africa.
I want the negotiators deciding the outcome of Cop28 to know Desmond’s story. Because in the end, the climate crisis is not about pledges, statistics, reports or activists. It’s about human suffering and ruined lives. It’s about death.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden goes into next year’s election with a vexing challenge: Just as the U.S. economy is getting stronger, people are still feeling horrible about it. Pollsters and economists say there has never been as wide a gap between the underlying health of the economy and public perception. The divergence could be a decisive factor in whether the Democrat secures a second term next year. Republicans are seizing on the dissatisfaction to skewer Biden, while the White House is finding less success as it tries to highlight economic progress.

There never has been an independent, self-governed national entity called "Palestine."
In Biblical times, the region now encompassing Israel was known as Canaan, which included the kingdoms of Israel and Judah. The term "Palestine" originally referred to a small area occupied by the Philistines (as one theory has it), from whence comes the name "Palestine." In Roman times, the area was known as Judea and was ruled by Jewish kings, and, under the Roman Emperor Constantine, became a Christian province generally known in Europe simply as "The Holy Land." The name "Palestine" was not legally applied until the British occupation starting in 1915.

For now, let’s just marvel at the intellectual gymnastics of Harvard’s corporate board, which issued a statement just an hour ago or so expressing unanimous support for Claudine Gay … while tacitly admitting her plagiarism issues.

The majority of informed Americans believe that the election of 2020 was at the very least tampered with, and at most, stolen from Donald Trump. I agree with them.
After “mules” delivering contrived and phony ballots to drop boxes throughout the country, Joe Biden somehow became president.
After machine “malfunctions” and outright collapses, an unknown number of ballots, perhaps even hundreds of thousands, were either uncounted, or flipped from Republican to Democrat.
After votes cast by dead people appeared, somehow the election was lost for Trump and every American who voted for him...

I was recently asked if there was a defining moment that dramatically accelerated and perhaps made permanent the chaos this nation is presently facing. My answer: the two weeks between March 16 and March 30, 2020.
On March 16th, Donald Trump declared a National Emergency for COVID-19 and effectively shut down the nation for “15 days to slow the spread”. At a press conference announcing the temporary shutdown he said: said: “ With several weeks of focused action, we can turn the corner, and turn it quickly.”
Regardless of the severity, never throughout the annals of mankind has a nation been shut down to combat a pandemic.

The Associated Press (AP) on Sunday denounced the “shocking level of censorship” imposed by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on the COP28 climate change conference in Dubai. The AP was mortified by “sharp restrictions on what demonstrators could say, where they could walk and what their signs could portray.”
“At times, the controls bordered on the absurd,” the AP said, pointing to a rule that prevented demonstrators from waving signs with the names of detained activists, a 500-strong pro-Palestinian protest group that was prevented from leaving the U.N.’s “Blue Zone” in Dubai, and a ban on the genocidal Palestinian slogan “from the river to the sea.”

The Biden/Harris team is so bad at so many things that sometimes it's hard to believe that these are the people we have in office now, supposedly in charge. But when they have difficulty with even basic things like holidays, you know we are in big trouble.
Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff posted a picture of himself and Vice President Kamala Harris lighting the first candle of a menorah. The tweet has since been deleted, but you can still see what he wrote:

“Whoever surrenders — his life is spared,” Gallant says, adding that among those who have been arrested by the IDF are terrorists who participated

They taste like, well…crap. But VICTORY!! in the romantic sense.
I’m guessing from the tone of his tweet, the big, old to-do in the desert in Dubai didn’t go so well for the rotund carbon-credits grifter. “…It is deeply offensive to all who have taken this process seriously. There are 24 hours left to show whose side the world is on: the side that wants to protect humanity’s future by kickstarting the orderly phase out of fossil fuels or the side of the petrostates and the leaders of the oil and gas companies that are fueling the historic climate catastrophe. Neither of the two bills to reauthorize and reform a powerful spy tool used by American intelligence agencies will be voted on this week after the Rules Committee pulled the legislation amid intense backlash.
Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), who sits on the Rules Committee, confirmed to the Washington Examiner that neither the House Judiciary Committee nor Intelligence Committee bills to reauthorize and reform Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act would be voted on this week. The original plan was to put both bills on the floor and allow members to vote for them, and whichever one received the most votes would be the one the House advanced.
