The couple killed in a fiery crash on Rainbow Bridge on Wednesday have been named as Kurt and Monica Villani. The couple, both 53, were identified by Niagara Falls Police Department on Friday. The pair had been on their way to a KISS concert when the incident occurred, sparking fears of a terror attack and shutting down the border crossing for hours. It remains unconfirmed what exactly led to the accident. The pair were in a Bentley being driven by Mr. Villani at the time and had told friends there was a problem with the accelerator in the weeks before

Comments:

Did the car malfunction? They owned a chain of lumber yards in the area and were well known in their neighborhood.

I admit to being skeptical of the first announcement that it wasn't terrorism - we've been strung along so much. But most cars in the last decade don't have a mechanical connection to the throttle body. The gas pedal only tells the engine computer how much power you want. I imagine the ECM (engine control module) could 'blue screen' on you and run wide open. Any thoughts?

Two thoughts. 1. If they had been told there was a problem with the accelerator they should have fixed it before going anywhere and the dealer should have told them the car was dangerous to drive. 2. The brake system in any car should be able to over power the engine in any car. I may be wrong about that but, it should be that way.

A lot of modern cars have the engine power controlled by one of the many car computers, and your foot throttle is only asking the computer for a power setting. Another "I'm sorry, Dave, I can't do that." Hal 9000 moment?

It is a stance that has angered the left-wing of the Democratic Party. Fetterman has left far-left figures bitterly disappointed as he has been one of Israel's strongest proponents during the war, putting

A museum spokesperson said it was "only polite and respectful to be sensitive to identifying pronouns for people in the past". The museum has one coin of Elagabalus, which is often displayed amongst other LGBTQ+items in its collection. It said it consulted LGBTQ+
