We keep lying about January 6 and the prisoners from January 6, the defendants who are not political prisoners but rather committed crimes. They assaulted police officers. California moderate Democrats shut down (a) proposal to create a “wealth tax” on unsold assets (snip) AB 259, sponsored by Assemblymember Alex Lee, D–San Jose, would create an annual 1% tax on the global wealth of state residents with worldwide net worth over $50 million, or $25 million if married but filing separately, and an additional 0.5% tax on residents whose net worth is over $1 billion, or $500 million if filing separately. Taxpayers would be required to disclose all assets, and be taxed based on the number of days spent in the state, even if part-time. California governor Gavin Newsom proposed a $292 billion state budget for the 2024-2025 fiscal year, driving economists to wonder why he plans only $8.5 billion in real spending cuts against what the nonpartisan Legislative Analyst’s Office says is a projected $68 billion deficit. Elizabeth Mirabelli and Lori Ann West filed a lawsuit against the Escondido Union School District (EUSD) and the California State Board of Education in April last year over a policy that required educators to hide a child’s preferred pronouns and gender identity if a student asks to keep parents in the dark. Mirabelli and West were put on administrative leave in May, but a judge ruled this week that the district must reinstate the teachers.

President Joe Biden did not learn about Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin‘s cancer diagnosis until this morning, the White House said Tuesday.
Austin’s prostate cancer diagnosis was disclosed publicly Tuesday afternoon, mere hours after the president learned, even though Austin reportedly received the diagnosis himself last month.
“[Biden] was not informed until last Friday that Secretary Austin was in the hospital,” National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said during the afternoon press briefing. “He was not informed until this morning that the root cause of that hospitalization was prostate cancer.”

Over the last several years, the U.S. Military has struggled to meet recruitment goals across all branches, perhaps most of all with the Army.
One of the reasons for this has now been explained. White men are no longer enlisting in the numbers they did in the past.
Families which used to encourage young men to enlist are doing so in far fewer numbers for reasons which are obvious to many. New woke policies, the vaccine mandates and the embrace of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) policies mean white recruits are looked over for advancement in the US Military today. All of these factors have all contributed to this decline
