TOPLINE U.S. and European government officials have poorly tracked military aid for Ukraine worth more than $1 billion, creating concerns the weapons have been stolen, according to a Defense Department report released Thursday, amid contested efforts by American lawmakers to provide additional funding for Ukraine’s war against Russia. KEY FACTS Just over $1 billion of the estimated $1.69 billion worth of weapons sent to Ukraine are considered “delinquent,” which was likely caused by “an inability to maintain complete accountability” of the inventory in government databases, according to a redacted report by the Defense Department’s inspector general Thursday.

Poorly tracked? How about not tracked at all? Most of it was stolen and sold, with some of the funds, I would bet, finding their way into the shell corporations of American politicians. Telling American pols not to touch that pile of cash is like telling a turkey buzzard not to eat carrion. It's what they live on.

Multiply that by 20 or 30 and you may get closer to the real number. Ukrainian government officials padded their retirement accounts and even sent Mrs. Zelenskyy on a Parisian shopping spree. US weapons sent to Ukraine have turned up on black markets all the way to South America. No wonder they keep begging for more, they have a stupid rich uncle who will give it to them.

Nothing we have sent to Ukraine has been tracked. No audit has ever been done. I don’t doubt that a lot of it is sitting in offshore accounts owned by Zelensky and his corrupt government. Islamabad — Independent candidates affiliated with jailed Pakistani political leader Imran Khan’s party won the most National Assembly seats in Pakistan’s general election, delivering a surprise victory in a vote marred by a slow count and rigging allegations. According to the Election Commission of Pakistan, independent candidates won 98 seats so far, with 22 seats still unclaimed. The majority of the independents are affiliated with Khan’s party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz party (PMLN), headed by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, which had been favored to sweep the polls, has so far won the second-most seats with 69. The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has the third-most with 51 seats.

Now everyone is talking about the one thing the Biden campaign didn't want them talking about: Biden's age and mental fitness. President Joe Biden held a press conference on Thursday night to do damage control over special counsel Robert Hur’s report over Biden’s handling of classified documents. However, the presser was such a disaster that it unquestionably caused more damage than it controlled. It was a public relations nightmare for Biden, who came off as angry, bitter, confused, uninformed, and incompetent. Had it been former President Donald Trump instead of Biden who spoke last night, Democrats would claim he’s unfit for office. But Democrats don’t hold Biden to the same standards they held Trump. For the past three years, Americans knew what Democrats refused to admit -- that Joe Biden had entered a cognitive decline that rendered him unfit for office. Democrats and the media insisted that Biden still had energy and vigor, even while every public appearance added evidence to the contrary. Voters had to rely on their own eyes to reach their conclusions that Biden's aphasiac mumbling, stiffness, and repeatedly false recollections indicated that Biden was clearly unfit for office. “It felt like a Comey moment for me.” That was the assessment of a top Biden campaign official watching special counsel Robert Hur’s report explode Thursday. In July 2016, FBI Director James Comey ripped into Hillary Clinton for being “extremely careless” with classified material and noted that there was “evidence of potential violations” of the law — assessments that played into a narrative that helped tank her presidential campaign. Then he delivered the actual news: “no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case.” In a scathing report, the Justice Department’s inspector general later harshly criticized Comey for his actions.
