As reported earlier House Republicans voted down their most popular and respected member, Jim Jordan for House Speaker today.
The Republican lawmakers held a secret ballot away from their voters and overwhelmingly decided to oust Jordan from the Speaker’s race.
The Republicans voted 112-86 in a secret ballot to oust the Ohio Republican from the race.
The House of Representatives has been without a Speaker for more than 2 weeks after Matt Gaetz filed a motion to vacate the chair. Kevin McCarthy was ousted as House Speaker earlier this month in a 216-210 vote. 8 Republicans voted to oust McCarthy: Biggs, Buck, Burchett, Crane, Gaetz, Good, Mace, and Rosendale.

Now we know the Republican party is as morally and spiritually bankrupt as the Democrats. For both parties, it's not about America but it's all about power and money. At this point, I am unsure if Trump could change the dynamics of dirty and corrupt American politics.

This is why I say you should stop supporting Republicans with your time, money and heart.
Only support conservatives. If they aren't conservative then it doesn't matter what letter is after their name.

Stop whining - an evenly divided House swings RINO whether we like it or not. If you want a conservative Speaker, fight voter fraud and elect more conservatives to the House.

There are soooo many snakes in this swamp, I think it will be impossible to eliminate them.
God help this country, PLEASE. The citizens are doing their best but it seems beyond our control at this point. Our Reps could care less what we think!

#1, I’ve worried for some time that PDJT can no longer change The Swamp.
#3, 4: a few weeks ago, there was an article from CTH posted. Sundance laid out the mechanics and methods the corporate RNC and DNC utilize to ensure the proper candidates are “allowed” to run in elections.
If you believe his thesis (and I do), the whole kit and kaboodle is controlled by those 2 corporations. You can “primary” incumbents all day long. But the odds of being successful are near zero.
Time to start a new country.

While waiting for their magic unicorn candidate to appear because of so called principles that nobody can articulate, Republicans have abandoned all principles and will get none of what they say they stand for. They are fools and have ceded all power to Democrats who are laughing at them.

To #3's point, how many times have we thought we ARE voting for conservatives, only to find out they weren't who they claimed to be, or ended up selling out? This is so maddening and exhausting!

The GOP has a death wish and I wish them complete and quick success in getting their wish at the earliest opportunity.
It's time the US had a real opposition party.

Republicans tried to get a pro-Trump Conservative Speaker and will get a Soros plant instead. This is Washington folks. it's by design. This is how they work. Washington does not represent the people. It does not really have two parties. it is corrupt to the core. The only good news that it's all out there for people to see.

Regarding today’s Ldot cartoon.
Capitol Hill has become a dung hill where asses disguised as prancing show ponies dance and parade and grow the mess. More & more citizens across the country are becoming sickened by the disgusting stench. D.C. has gone from a swamp to a spreading cesspool that is contaminating the system of government throughout the whole country.
It seems WTP must either demand that the asses/show ponies be replaced with Constitutional work horses, then help them to begin cleaning up the mess, or we continue to purchase tickets for the status quo.
Perhaps the demand would be more effective made by citizens on a state by state basis - one “show pony” at a time rather than as a group in D.C.

I know little about this Emmer person, but his appearance, overweight, full head of grey hair, expensive suit, makes me uneasy. I've had dealings with men looking like that...all bad. General Milley fits into this negative vibe, too.

Whoever is elected speaker will inevitably be to the left of Kevin McCarthy. That sad result was built into the mad scheme to oust McCarthy. What Matt Gaetz and his mindless followers accomplished was a Pyrrhic victory that will usher in a much worse speakership than the one they will replace. In a short while the House and Senate will vote for an inevitable Omnibus. If McCarthy were still in charge that might have been avoided.

Why is everyone mad about Congress being shut down and can't do anything?
This is GOOD.
Congress only chips away at our freedoms and increases our taxes. Something that you WANT to do will be made illegal, something that you don't want to do will become mandatory.
A paralyzed Congress is a GOOD THING.
