Since the Golda Meir tour of America seventy-some years ago, American Jews have been frequently unsupportive of Israel in its quest for peace among Arab neighbors. Harmony among mankind and remediation of evils like ignorance, poverty, racism and heinous generalization in thinking itself are the natural goals produced by intelligent analysis. Yet it is just this discernment that is so hurtfully seductive: pride goes before the fall, and the pride of believing one knows what’s best for one’s fellow man is the most seductive self-aggrandizing pridefulness of all. Borne of Rousseau’s notion of the Noble Savage, rhe Perfectibility of Man is the collectivist ideal, but the Judeo-Christian notion of Original Sin is— although a cruder instrument— closer to the truth of human existence. Man wants government. We are all at base killer apes, and universal education and its enlightenments are not adequate to hold back the beast within. Every Liberal shibboleth assumes a shared ideal, but in their hearts humans wish to break things, and to acquire. The Liberal Intellectual Mandate wishes to acquire power ostensibly for good, but that good has universally become this graven idol of man’s perfectibility, a complex of assumptions inadequate to man’s true bestial and acquisitive nature. Without God who will govern them? Intellect is not nearly enough. American Jews, like American Liberals, are overdue for a political version of Saul’s illumination on their own road to Damascus. One hopes it may not be too late.

They can be taught!

It's not like the democommunists haven't given enough evidence of their hated of the Jews. Obozo tried to hide it to a certain extent, until the Israeli president came to the White House and was forced to enter and leave by the back door. Apparently, that wasn't enough of an insult to the Jewish community.

If this horrific tragedy wakes up people to the truth, good. I am devastated by what happened and hope that some good can come out of the abhorrent violence directed at the innocent. There is one villain in this scenario, the Palestinians along with anyone who supports them in word or deed. It is disturbing that massive protests on behalf of the Palestinians can occur around the world. Unless you are a progressive ideologue, there is a clear division in this fight. It is one of good versus evil. There can be no quarter given. Palestinians have committed war crimes against the Israelis. Period end of story, there is NO justification for this kind of carnage against babies, children, men and women and the elderly. The fact these barbarians have the nerve to show their faces in public and scream Palestinians are the victims is appalling. Anyone protesting on behalf of the Palestinians should be escorted out of this country to the nearest Islamic country and dropped off there. Let them experience first hand what it means to live side by side with these people and see how peaceful they really are.

Well my fellow lantsmen are finally figuring out the Left considers them toilet paper; there to be used and flushed away when done. But I am skeptical that the lesson will stick.

Better late than never.

Unfortunately, the number rethinking their politics will be miniscule. This has happened many times before, and the "Jews vote Democrat" rule seems to be branded on their brains. Voting against your interests decade after decade - difficult to understand, but they do it. I cannot explain it rationally, only observe that it is a fact, and shake my head in sadness.

Isn't it about time American Jewish voters realize where their support comes from and it certainly isn't from their progressive buddies !!!
