Sen. Peter Welch says Israel ground invasion

Sen. Peter Welch, D-Vt., said Monday he has "grave concerns" about Israel's potential ground invasion into Gaza amid an ongoing war prompted by Hamas' terror attack on the Jewish State. In a statement released Monday, Welch said he has "grave concerns about the wisdom and military efficacy" of an Israeli ground invasion in Gaza and that there is "no doubt" an imminent ground invasion would be "catastrophic for innocent Palestinians in Gaza and jeopardize urgent efforts to save hostages." "Israel has the absolute right to attack Hamas for the brutal, heinous slaughter of more than 1,400 Israelis and the taking of more than 200 hostages,"

Just look at the Israeli invasion of Gaza as a liberation of the Palestinians from Hamas and terrorist control. Ot is a big hostage rescue by Israel and the Palestinians and world should be grateful.

Hamas has demonstrated its continued existence cannot be tolerated and military action appears to be the only way Hamas can be removed. Does the senator have better understanding of military methods and options than the military officers of Israel, or is his concern not really about the efficacy of Israel's plans?

The Gaza strip needs to go back to Israel. They won it it that invasion during the 7 days way when Hamas thought they could kick the Jews out of Israel with Egypt's help and were soon to have their collective butts kicked. You think they would have learned something from that. But, no. They did a lot of whining and gnashing of teeth and got back the territory, that had blossomed by the efforts of the Jewish people who had settled there and were displaced. And within maybe three microseconds, the place became, as a President once said, "A shithole country" that attacked Israel, who were suppling them with water and electricity, even after years of terrorist attacks from those wonderful people on the West Bank. Then on October 7th they invaded Israel and captured women an babies, whom they raped and tortured and beheaded. Now, they are having their butts kicked and this idiot senator thinks Israel should stop. I hope Israel goes all the way to the Med and over to Egypt and let the Muslim countries who have been supporting Hamas, et al take care of them.

“ Last week, Welch and fellow Democrat Sens. Brian Schatz, of Hawaii, and Chris Van Hollen, of Maryland, wrote a letter to Biden urging that "every effort be made to avoid civilian harm……in Gaza”. Do their concerns also extend to our undeclared war in Ukraine? Have these Dem senators asked their corrupt and demented president for a similar effort to protect civilians in Ukraine since we are now providing Ukraine with missiles far deadlier than what terrorist groups Hamas and Hezbollah are firing? What about the F16 jet fighters we are currently training Ukrainians to use, the same jets used by the Israeli Air Force. And the cluster bombs, the hundreds of thousands of artillery shells as well as tanks, armored vehicles and millions of rounds of bullets? Just as Ukraine has a right to defend itself from the Russian invasion even at the risk of civilian casualties, so does Israel. But the Democrats, including our Clown in Chief, demand a different standard if it involves Islam and specifically Iran. Will Welch say no to the next $60 billion in weapons for Ukraine?

Happy Wednesday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. (Snip) The most polarizing politician of the last 40 years is not, as leftists would have us believe, Donald Trump. For my money, it’s none other than His High Holiness the Lightbringer, Barack Obama. Seriously, the dude is irritating. Unfortunately, half the country thinks that he’s the most brilliant man to do brilliant things in the history of brilliance. Anyone who disagrees with that, according to them, is — say it with me — racist. One day, historians may decide that they are tired of embarrassing themselves and critically assess Obama’s legacy as president, which is especially awful when one is discussing foreign policy.
