According to multiple DC media sources, a quiet effort is underway by members of the professionally republican mindset to kick Matt Gaetz out of the House Republican caucus. However, the advocates worry they will be primaried by voters in their district, as the population of Republican voters supports Gaetz. It is a duplicitous dynamic.

Ms. Lake's goal is to secure the Senate seat currently held by Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-Ariz.). She has emphasized the need for "a senator in there who is going to fight back and put America first.”

The U.S. Senate passed the stop gap spending CR (Continuing Resolution) extending government funding for 45 days. The Senate vote was 88-9. Mike Lee, Bill Hagerty, Ted Cruz, JD Vance, Eric Schmitt, Rand Paul, Roger Marshall, Mike Braun, and Marcia Blackburn voted against the CR. The CR ends November 17th.
