Shortly before RFK Jr stated that he would be announcing a run for president as an independent candidate, he appeared on a podcast to discuss the possibility of leaving the Democrat ticket. {Rumble Link Here} Mr Kennedy said his campaign had done research on the impact to the 2024 race if he ran as an independent.
Within the interview RFK Jr shares that his private polling reveals he takes more votes from Donald Trump than he does from Joe Biden. Thus, having seeded the background for favorable republican support, running as an independent now becomes the most effective way to stop Trump. WATCH:

I have heard and read several other journalists who are reporting this same thought. Trump is not my first choice but I will support him without a doubt. Dear Lord, we cannot handle four more years of FJB. America is already at low tide and if that idiot is back in office I really do think we will be finished. I guess my only hope is that dem voters just stay home. They hate RJK (or so I am lead to believe) and most think FJB is a very bad choice. However, I believe they will go and vote for whomever is running as long as the D shows up by their name. And with all their cheating skills I am quite discouraged.

to me RFK' s weak point is that so long as he is in the climate cult he can not help working families. Trump understands what needs to be done and in spite of a big heart RFK is too vain to understand how much fighting this will be, it appears. The climate cult are haters.

I believe this. Trump needs to shut up about DeSantis etc and just keep reminding people how much better off they were financially when he was President. He needs to pound that message with statistics, facts, a constant drum beat of "yes we can return to prosperity despite Dementia Joe and his evil Democrats." He needs to constantly pound the Democrats for this economy and make them own it in the eyes of the people buying groceries and straining under the weight of inflation. Be positive about the future like Reagan in 1980. It's the economy stupid.

As an elderly dedicated conservative, I likely join many who are impressed with RFK Jr. His courage in calling out the vaccine farce still promoted by those reflexedly voting democrat, and the evident sincerity in expressing his beliefs, is unusual and refreshing. Still, I believe that Trump is the man for the moment, and that we as a country may also be lost if he is lost to this election.

RFK Jr and the clandestine support of Dems/deep state/ RINOs will be to position RFK Jr.to the suburban soccer mom.demographic that Bidenomics killed with high prices, taking those votes from Trump and giving Crooked Biden/ Gruesome Newsom/Horizontal Harris the win, much like Clinton won with the assist of Perot in 92.

Not surprising. As hard as it may be for some on this board to accept, many of those who voted for Trump in the last two elections are not MAGA types. They chose him for a variety of reasons and the political sands have shifted, as they always do.

As with Tulsi Gabbard, Kristen Sinema, Joe Manchin, etc. I'm shocked and saddened that so many people who think they are conservatives suddenly embrace life-long leftists, just because they occasionally say one or two things that conservatives can agree with.

RFK is not even MAGA close to being one of us. Never trust a democrat who's wishy washy about leaving the party. No more Kennedys, Bushes, Clintons, Obamas, and I have to include him because they're all demons, no more Bidens. The way things are going these days, we could end up with Hunter as president.

Number two, I agree with you. Neither RFK Jr. nor President Trump like Democrats or the Deep State, but those are the only things they have in common. They have opposing views on abortion, schools, and fossil fuels. I think this 'poll' is a way to deflect hostility away from the Biden campaign as in, "We're talking votes from Trump, not you."

Assume Biden is not on the ballot, for whatever reason, and Newsom is in '24. If Trump secures the GOP nomination and RFK Jr. is still running as an independent, who benefits from this scenario a year from now?

RFK Jr is a weird creature politically. Kennedy name, Dem positions on a lot of things, and an intense intense anti-vaccine position. I don't know who exactly would select him on the ballot next to Trump and Biden. Hopefully GOP/Trump leaning voters in the battleground states know better. If you're in Oklahoma or Idaho then sure, do what you feel like, it's your vote, but if you're in Georgia or Wisconsin or Arizona it is a major responsibility and the national outcome is going to either be President Trump or President Biden.

If true it shows we have some real stupid people on our side. I agree with a lot of posters that when voters see, his abortion and anti energy policies they'll cool off. Of course DeSantis is helping him by blaming Trump for the current inflation.

A lot of things can and will happen between now and the election. If Trump is the GOP nominee it is unlikely he will be running against Biden. If they succeed in knocking Trump out - which could happen - it could be Newsom (or some other Democrat) against some other Republican. Right now the polls don’t mean anything. There are a lot of cards that haven’t been dealt yet.

This is not surprising. There are a lot of people who aren't fans of Trump who would still vote for him because they dislike Biden even more. But Kennedy gives them a third alternative and there are going to be some who will take it.

The Rats are counting on the Low Information Voters (LoFos) that watch and believe Corporate Media, RINOs, and Never Trumpers to ditch Trump and waste votes on Kennedy.
As Sundance says it is a total Democrat Op.
These same LoFos that voted for Perot. 19% overall, but was more than enough to ensure the Election of BJ Clinton.
The Democrats and their Mainstream Media and GOPe are playing the Briar Patch/Tar Baby Gambit trying to convince us that this poaches votes from Biden or whatever other Ham Sandwich the Rats nominate.
'No Bobby, don't go Third Party. That hurts Biden.'
This is total BS.
Bobby Kennedy jr will join his esteemed colleague Commy Bernie Sanders in the stands and gloat at Biden's second inauguration. 'Suckers.'

Robert Kennedy is right on three crucial points, and very bold in stating why.
The vaccines, the corruption in the CIA, FBI, CDC...., and the southern border mess.
He is wrong on climate change and abortion.
Trump needs to humble himself and admit that putting Fauci center stage, day in and day out, was a huge mistake; and he needs to stop bragging about those blasted warp speed vaccines and vents! That would remove Kennedy's advantage on that major point.
