Conservative author and talk radio host Mark Levin slammed Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) over his bid to oust House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), saying McCarthy is “more conservative than” Gaetz. Gaetz filed a motion to vacate the chair on Monday, marking the first official step in an attempt to remove McCarthy from his speakership. As Breitbart News reported: The House must vote within two legislative days on the motion itself or on a separate motion to table or dispense with it. Senate Republicans blocked a $111 billion foreign-aid package for Ukraine’s and Israel’s respective wars after failing to reach a deal with Democrats on border security.
The upper chamber on Wednesday voted 49–51, failing to pass the 60-vote threshold that would have advanced the combined aid for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan to the floor. Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) and the White House both called for a vote on the package. At the end of the floor proceeding, Schumer voted no in order to bring up the spending bill again at a later date.

The Biden administration is demanding that Israel take even more extraordinary measures to avoid harming “innocent civilians” as it tries to eradicate Hamas. Around the world, politicians and others express dismay at the alleged number of innocent civilians who have been killed by Israeli bombardments, even while admitting that Hamas’s casualty numbers include its own terrorists, people killed by terrorists’ awol missiles, and so on.
