I Don't Think the House Fight Worked Out
the Way Matt Gaetz Thought It Would

Original Article

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) successfully led a coup against now-former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy on Tuesday. He managed to eke out a “win” by rallying the entire Democrat caucus and eight Republicans to oust him. It’s the first time that has happened in U.S. history. And it’s a total clown show. Not only does it distract from the already tense budget negotiations, but it makes a laughingstock of the GOP—and the U.S.—and gives Democrats even more leverage to push through their radical policies. Gaetz got a win, but at what cost? Sure, he’ll raise a lot of campaign money from this—he’s already sending out emails and asking for money on Fox News

So how are conservatives EVER to get any change in DC? The only chance to dispense with McCarthy is when he was in the majority, and conservatives could get some of the Republicans and all the Democrats. If Republicans were in the minority, McCarthy would only need a majority of Republicans. I hope this shows the Senate how to get rid of McConnell. We have gotten nothing from the Senate.

The usual suspects are crying how bad this is. Why are none of them questioning why, even knowing that Sept 30 was a deadline for the budget since he assumed the Speakership in January, that he wasn’t pushing Congress to be finalizing single topic budget bills and negotiating them over the summer? Why aren’t they questioning why the “regular order” that McCarthy claimed was the reason he caved on the debt increase that is killing the economy never was returned to? Why aren’t they talking about the many other promises - eliminate 87,000 IRS agents, release the J6 tapes as examples that never were done? McCarthy’s (thankfully short) tenure was playing interference for Biden and the Uniparty. Well done Congressman Gaetz. Finally someone showing some balls.

So it doesn’t bother some that Gaetz is working with the Democrats and nothing will get done now ? If agaetz really wants to put his money where his mouth is, he would be brave enough to run for Speaker and see how easy he and his 4% can do the job. He reminds me of Hair Gel Newsom. Even Trump questioned this move.

What the Dems should have done is have a dozen or so of their members vote to KEEP McCarthy as speaker, which would continue the GOP fighting.

My whole life I have watched Rino's join with Democrats during elections and policy making. They tell us that only moderates can win and so we voted for absolute hacks like Romney and McCain. But when our candidate wins, they bring out the knives. They sabotage our initiatives and are different from Democrats only with a pinch of salt here or there. If we ever fight back they promise us worse things will happen and agree to stab us in the back twice as often.

When McCarthy colludes with the left, it's a good thing, right Paula? If the argument is nothing will get done, I'm good with that. Maybe they should all worry about fed up Americans dragging them out of power and focus solely on getting reelected. It would save US plenty of money and aggravation from their constant and ignorant meddling in everything they are not constitutionally allowed, such as two-flush toilets, what kind of cars we can buy, made-up climate nonsense, cost of electricity and gas, high freaking taxes, etc.

let's see: Gaetz aligned with over 200 D's after decrying McC for doing so on short CR; he had 8 votes among R's so the caucus is now split in the face of budget negotiations; investigations et al come to a standstill as well as completion of appropriations everyone was concerned about ....no one had a transition plan in hand - and we have 40-some days to another shutdown.on top of that he took out the R with the highest popularity in the U S. color me unimpressed. there must have a better way because this will hurt Rs everywhere now. i too would like fiscal responsibility but i understand one can't snap fingers and briing forth change when you have a 5 seat majority. just in the last week we could have had an 8% cut in spending - poofed by Gaetz. rocky road ahead - and all self-inflicted.

Gaetz accomplished what he wanted to accomplish. He isn't running for speaker. His next step is raising money and running for FL Gov. The first thing he did was sent out requests for donations after he nuked the house. Matt Gaetz is out for Matt Gaetz. We have a very narrow margin in the house and the Dems control the WH and the Senate. There was no plan and no strategy in place going forward. This was a terrible idea and what does it tell you when Gaetz and the others (the 8) had the entire democrat caucus behind them. This is shameful.

The political wonks who whine about removing McCarthy think we can still play DC politics as usual. You fools. Do you think the sort of bloodless revolution we are in can still be won with polite head counts and compromises that got us to this point? Trump is being destroyed in front of our eyes and the solution is to vote? How asleep are you? Do you think the urban rats with their media/globalists reforms will stop if we go back to the filthy DC sewer 'traditions' of pirate rats vs milktoast posing Republicans that talk a good game and then makes deals with rats that have the USA in a COMA? NONE of the usual political games are working. There is no justice system worth a darn. rats are brazenly committing crimes with no fear of serious punishment, the dollar is being destroyed and we are quickly sliding into a hot war with Russia. You think the criminal rats and media are going to allow ANY election to go against them? Doing the 'reckless' thing of removing a liar, a double agent leader is a popgun vs atom bomb. We can only hope that taking a stand for do what you promise grows into a new ethos strong enough to save this country. I am afraid that is a tiny possibility. Meanwhile whine about someone kicking over a chair at your meaningless tea party.

I have a question for all of the McCarthy haters. If McCarthy was a traitor who compromised with Democrats so much, why did all of the Democrats vote to remove him? You would think that they would have wanted to keep him in place if he was helping them with their agenda. Truth is that there are many in the Republican Party who have this childish belief that you can get everything you want without working with the opposition even though Democrats control the Senate and the White House and Republicans have a margin of 5 in the House. This is delusional thinking. We are now screwed. Thanks for nothing Matt.

Disney has failed to make any inroads with conservative Americans who turned on the entertainment industry giant over its woke politics, according to results from a new Rasmussen Reports survey previewed exclusively by The Daily Wire. Just over 60% of Republicans have an unfavorable opinion of Disney, including 35% who say they have a “very unfavorable” opinion, the survey conducted by Rasmussen in late September found. The results are starkly divided by political identity. While among Republicans only 32% have a favorable view and 61% have an unfavorable view, for Democrats the results are almost exactly the opposite — 61% of Democrats view Disney favorably and just 29% unfavorably.

WASHINGTON — President Biden said Thursday that he “can’t stop” construction of new sections of the US-Mexico border wall because Congress wouldn’t rescind spending on it — as he waived 26 federal laws to restart former President Donald Trump’s pet project amid record-breaking illegal immigration. “The money was appropriated for the border wall. I tried to get them to reappropriate, to redirect that money. They didn’t. They wouldn’t,” Biden told reporters in the Oval Office. “In the meantime, there’s nothing under the law other than they have to use the money for what it was appropriated for. While the spotlight has been on Republican inter-party strife lately, there's trouble in paradise across the aisle. The Biden administration announced they waived 26 federal laws in South Texas to allow border wall construction on Wednesday, marking the administration’s first use of a sweeping executive power employed often during the Trump presidency.
