A massive emergency alert test is set to sound alarms on every cellphone, radio, and TV in the United States on Wednesday at 2:20 p.m. EDT, 11:20 a.m. PDT.
The federal government says it will conduct a nationwide test of its Emergency Alert System and Wireless Emergency Alerts on the afternoon of October 4, as reported by Breitbart News last month. The emergency test is scheduled to occur at 2:20 p.m. eastern time which is 11:20 a.m. Pacific.
This means that every cellphone, television, and radio in the United States will blast a warning tone of an emergency alert, in order to ensure that the country’s Emergency Alert system is working correctly

Okay. Meet up here tomorrow. This sounds sadistic like the TV ad reminder to get a flu shot. A wolf, with a poorly fitting sheep's coat on his back and a soothing voice cooing "I'm just the flu."

Getting everything up and running. So when Russia/China decide that America is so far down the rabbit hole that "now is the time to attack" they can at least warn us a few minutes before it actually happens. Or maybe something a big milder like "everyone go home this is a climate emergency". I can no longer trust a damn thing they say or do.

IOW, this is a warning to let you know that the Feds can control your phone and listen and see what you're doing. It's only a test.

It’s a test so that when democrats decide to cancel the elections in 2024 we can all be properly notified. Just kidding…

I will be unplugging my tv and placing my cell phone in the microwave (faraday box) for safe keeping during this "test".
Yes, that is how much I do not trust my government.

Rumor has it that ' black noise' is embedded in the signal. I'm turning my cell phone off.

At our household, we plan to turn off all devices during this so-called test. Funny isn't it that Putie and the russkies will be doing a similar test. Or this may not be so funny.

Also, if you for some reason have an Alexa, unplug it. And turn off your wifi.

The alert will announce the "tipping point" for Gullible Warming.
No atmospheric emission of any kind will be tolerated thereafter. So - - please hold in your farts - - or risk being arrested.

I am so done with these emergency alerts.
All alerts are turned off on my cell phone so I hope this thing does not override that.
It's really a pain when at a meeting at work with 50 attendees all the cell phones start blatting. But at least then someone shares instructions with everyone on how to disable it and with no exception everyone chooses to do so. Almost always the alert is for a "missing" child that is really just a custody dispute. Frankly I think the custody dispute does not qualify for a missing child alert which we all thought was going to be kidnapped by a stranger.
My cable TV has alerts all the time. Either for a thunderstorm 100 miles away from us or for a "missing" child custody alert. And most of the time the parent that took the child is a much better parent than the one that the courts had assigned.
A few years ago finally there was a "missing" child that sounded like it was the real deal since both parents were shown requesting help. "Finally! Not a custody dispute but a real kidnapping." I said. But I had spoken too soon. Turns out the missing child, who was barely a child, had stolen the uncle's SUV, and was driving friends to a party. He ended up arrested.
The alerts are mostly at the end of TV shows and typically cover up the denouement.

Just a reminder - the emergency alert system was never activated on September 11, 2001.

Darn autocorrect! What I meant to post is;
The Morlocs are calling. Please proceed in an orderly fashion to the culling chambers.
In no way did I intend to disparage any or all Mormons.

This is a test to see if they can effectively disrupt communications during armed rebellion. I'm sure they have exclusionary programming that they will be testing during this time period to insure government forces are not affected.

Back on line now. We put all of our devices into the microwave oven to act as a shield from micromagnetic radiation. Never heard a peep from the test warning.
