Socialist Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) pulled the fire alarm in a House office building Saturday as Democrats tried to delay a vote on a Republican stopgap spending bill, according to the GOP-controlled Administration Committee. The wild incident in the Cannon Building was caught on camera and confirmed by several witnesses, according to Politico. Bowman “pulled a fire alarm in Cannon this morning,” a panel spokesperson told the outlet. “An investigation into why it was pulled is underway.” Staten Island GOP Rep. Nicole Malliotakis’ office told The Post they would move to have Bowman expelled from the chamber.

Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy confronted White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre for apparently blaming the crime spike in major U.S. cities on Republicans.
Doocy’s question referenced three armed assailants reportedly carjacking Democratic Texas Rep. Henry Cuellar in the Navy Yard neighborhood of Washington D.C. on Monday night. Jean-Pierre credited pieces of legislation President Joe Biden passed that reportedly allocated funding to add more law enforcement officers and accused Republicans of not helping by voting against the American Rescue Plan and Inflation Reduction Act.

Members of President Joe Biden’s staff are concerned about Commander, Biden’s German Shepherd that bit a Secret Service officer in late September.
"Among staff, there is an emerging belief that, in the eyes of Commander, they are off limits; that the dog only has an appetite for the Secret Service," Politico reported.

Lawmakers have voted to oust Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., from his leadership role, the first time in the history of the House of Representatives that the chamber voted to boot a member from the top job.
Eight Republicans voted with every present Democrat to vacate the speaker's chair. The final vote was 216 to 210 in favor of McCarthy's ouster.
Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., introduced a measure against McCarthy known as a motion to vacate on Monday night, accusing him of breaking promises he made to win the speaker's gavel in January.

Apparently, there are an increasing number of kids, with no physical or cognitive disabilities whatsoever, who are entering kindergarten without being potty-trained. This is hard to fathom. In the past, the vast majority of children were fully potty trained around three years old, give or take a couple of months.
However, today kindergarten teachers often report to We Are Teachers that 15-20% of their classroom is not potty-trained, and that even a few first-graders are still in Pull-Ups. (Again, this does not include kids with medical issues, or physical or cognitive disabilities.) Sadly, there is a growing trend of children reaching the age of five without being potty trained.

Entitled “Why Republicans’ War Against Taylor Swift Could Backfire,” it delves into an X (formerly Twitter) spat between The Federalist’s Sean Davis and left-wing activist Victor Shi. In response to an excellent piece by Mark Hemingway detailing the shallowness and vapidity, both technically and spiritually, of Swift’s music, Davis quipped, “Taylor Swift is dumb and her music sucks.” In response, Shi wrote, “Nothing says more about how little Republicans understand Gen Z than them now saying Taylor Swift is “dumb & her music sucks” after she registered more than 35,000 people to vote last week.
