Disney CEO Bob Iger has quietly stated he's pulling his company out of the culture wars and returning to entertainment for entertainment's sake. Iger's comment came during a meeting with investors on September 19 at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. According to an analyst note on Wednesday, Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger told investors the company will "quiet the noise" in a culture war that has pitted social conservatives against the global media and entertainment conglomerate.

Start by “re-assigning” your transgender Fairy Grandmother apprentices. Then put the woke movie ideas into File 13.

My family and I still do Disney Cruise Line trips but we've pretty much given up on the parks, Our kids (18 and 13 respectively) have given up on all things Disney and have moved on to other forms of entertainment (gaming, mostly). We may look into doing European trips with Adventures By Disney.
I'd rather remember the Disney of my youth by hanging on to our old DVDs.
The damage is done concerning our family.

If Disney thinks they can flip the American public by "trying to redeem themselves" they will be mistaken. The image of Mickey and Minnie has been replaced by the man, in a beard and makeup, dressed up like a princess. The dream has turned into a nightmare for parents wanting their children to actually enjoy their short childhood without being bombarded by sexual images and circumstances. They will be hard pressed finding anyone who is willing to forgive and forget. Especially at those prices. There are other places to go without being smothered in "wokeness". We have all seen the reports about the loses that Disney has had to absorb. Serves them right. Remember they are only doing their semi turnaround for the $.

Way too late to get me back. Either they knew it was wrong to intentionally expose children to perverts but they did it anyway, or they never believed it was wrong. Either way, they are not my kind of people.
Children are our only hope for the future. We owe them better than Disney.

As a kid in California we went to Disneyland several times a year.
As an adult in Florida Disney has received zero $$$ from us. No Disney World or Disney anything for many years.
They can go out of business. Fine by me.

Communist Death Democrats like Iger cannot and will not change just like a leopard cannot change their spots. This creep would need to fire most of the current management of the company which he put in place, in order to get out of the so-called culture wars. Disney just like Bud Light is broken beyond repair. Real change at Disney to get it back to a bona fide entertainment and most importantly for profit company can only be achieved by firing Iger and the radical leftists like that trust fund hag Abigail Disney from the board. Disney's current operations plan is communist and deviancy propaganda in and communist and deviancy garbage out.

We conservatives don't protest or glue ourselves to the floor but when we vote with our wallets we have an impact out of proportion to our numbers. Witness Target, Bud Lite, and Disney. Their brands are irrevocably tarnished and they will never see our hard earned dollars again. Fine by me.

You can click your heels, and wave your magic wand but you will never get conservatives back...remember, it's good to be woke, but bad to be broke...

What is Igor’s idea of “entertainment for entertainment’s sake?” What kind of fairies will be featured?

I have avoided all things Disney since they acquired ABC, ESPN, and started pushing for Statist gov't control of everyone's lives except their own. They want the Democrat Socialists (Demzis for short) to decide how much of my money to spend then they wont get any of mine.

A good first step would be to fire the executives and employees who are driving the "woke" train at Disney. Until he does that, he's just flapping his lips.

Turns out there aren't enough of the blue hair, black t-shirt, "modern audience" crowd to make woke movies profitable.

Disney is so far gone, and so infiltrated by braindead lie-berals, that most of them honestly believe that the woke garbage they have been putting out is just good clean family entertainment!!! They would have no clue how to make a wholesome family film again without stuffing it full of woke garbage and homosexuality!!!!!
Disney is dead to me. Any dreams of taking my grandkids to either Disney park are dead and gone. No Disney merchandise, or even classic Disney films, will ever see a penny of my money!!!!!

My family loved going to Walt Disney World in Orlando. I grew up in the Orlando area and we went all the time. My older siblings did Grad Nights there and a couple even worked there. It was sheer magic for us kids in the 70's and 80's.
Our little family went almost yearly for over a decade until 2019. Yes, we had noticed a decline in service and overall staff competence and hospitality but we can live with a certain amount of that. What we can not live with is the sexual grooming of children. Our last trip was in 2019. Dh declared until our children are safe from transvestite perverts in Fairy Godmother dresses etc, we will not be going back.
I hate that my daughter may never know anything near what I experienced at Disney as a child. Just heartbreaking what the evil people of the world have done.

The copyright for Mickey Mouse is done this year. Perfect timing to mock the heck out of Disney. Soon, all the characters that they milked for cash for decades will be in the public domain. The woke upper management managed to destroy a brand worth billions. Perfect ending brought to you by ' open minded ' liberals.

Since its founding, Disney produced wholesome, decent, high-quality entertainment that parents knew they could take their small children and, as Walt once said, "Have a nice place to take the family for a holiday."
Walt and the Disney team produced decent products because they were decent people, it was as simple as that.
Over the decades, Disney became, and maintained, the gold standard for family entertainment. Parents KNEW they could trust Disney, that they could let their small children watch Disney movies and shows, unsupervised.
Then, the people running the Disney company were stupid enough to hire Perverts, who, as one of them bragged "put Queerness into every place I could". Disney betrayed and destroyed the trust of not only American parents, but the trust that parents in many foreign countries had placed in the company's movies and parks. Trust that Walt and the earlier Disney people had so painstakingly built up over decades of hard work and decency.
The present management will have to clean house, and REALLY clean house, then it will take a couple of decades for the trust that parents once put into Disney to build back up.
It's either that, or the corporate death spiral.
Which will it be, Disney?
