The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) created the systems that permit intelligence weaponization. The SSCI is the organizational institution that supports the Fourth Branch of Government, the intelligence branch.[Snip]In this video segment below, notice how Chairman Warner leads off his remarks. Two flares triggered. First, you can tell by his response, that President Trump’s “classified documents” were exactly what we thought they were; evidence against those who constructed the Trump-Russia claims from inside govt. Second, notice how Warner now wants to block any President from controlling intelligence as defined by the Fourth Branch. This stuff is getting brutally obvious.

The press are the fourth branch of government, willingly conscripted.
The intelligence community is the fifth, as is fifth column.

Maybe it's time for a Republican to introduce a bill to take away Joe Biden's security clearance? He's compromised and has no business knowing any of our nation's secrets.

Enquiring minds want to know. Will Warner take back all of Barry's documents, which is the most of all?

Another devious Deep State Creature who has been around too long. It's people like him, Clapper, Brennan Wray and Comey who can't be trusted with the nation's secrets. Remember who funds all of this anti-American activity.

It is un-Constitutional to create a new, un-elected, un-checked, un-controllable "branch" of government. The Supreme Court should weigh in on this BEFORE the worrywarts in Congress create, "The Beast."
Democrats and their cronies in the eGOP must be getting VERY fearful of what a Biden Impeachment Committee and/or President Trump in 2025 might find in all that's in those files. It's laughable that there can be anything, regarding the Executive Branch, that might be "locked" from access by the head of that branch. Sorry, Traitor Warner, something like this should require an Amendment to the Constitution, not just some silly "law."

Ridiculous. The President is the very top of our government, responsible for making the most important decisions possible. Thus he should always have full and complete access while in office. Clearly, the Democrats fear having a Republican as President who could uncover all their secret communications.

In practice it will mean only Republican President (if there are any in the future) will be barred. Democrats will do as they please. No one believes these people and their intentions any more.

What a meaty-mouthed SOB this guy is. He oozes slime. But he dresses well. And Margaret Brennan knows this guy is pond scum, but has to be dutiful and compliant to the Democrat talking points. This stuff won’t get through the House, or so I hope.

Maybe I’m not understanding this correctly. Is Warner suggesting that there should be an unelected gaggle of intelligence officials, seemingly accountable to no one, who will manage classified information? This is corruption before it even starts. This should be an easy one for the SC to shut down. It is obvious where the Democrats are headed.

A ‘Government Intelligence’ branch…wow! Talk about an oxymoron. That title is rife with humor.

Seems to me that senator Warner is trying to cover wrinkly posterior biden from any judgments regarding his hoarding of classified documents when he was Vice President...it's a form of protection for obama/biden...and I suspect it's just in time for a non/non/trial of President Trump...the rats know President Trump is picking up steam with Americans...and now they are worried if President Trump is found guilty...then obama/biden will be next...the senator is a weasel and has been proven so many times...he's in "it" for the fame and control....

This committee has been called the most corrupt in the Congress. Warner is historically a mendacious.

I'd say that that nasty and inconvenient document known as the Constitution would have plenty to say about one branch of the government forcing the head of another of the coequal branches to be subordinate to the people who are under his direct control. But then again, Mark Warner only plays the role of someone intelligent.....

I guess you can’t expect a dimwit Lefty like Warner to actually read or understand the US constitution. Under article 2 the President has PLENARY (ie absolute) power over the executive branch and as commander in chief. The intelligence agencies are ALL within the Executive branch of government which includes the military as well. The LEGISLATIVE branch (congress) cannot infringe limit or curb the Presidents authority and power over the Executive branch. PERIOD. It’s the same reason all this BS case over the so called classified docs will fail ultimately regardless of how the courts go. So to sum up- Warner is completely 100% full of SHEET.

In his own words, Senator Warner makes clear that his intended legislation would prevent the removal of documents by any president or vice president after they leave office. When asked if he wanted to see more documents, he said, “We have actually—I’m about 98 percent satisfaction at this point.” The pause after “We have actually” suggests he caught himself from saying too much, which raises the question of what he might have inadvertently revealed had he not caught himself.
