Happy Monday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. (Snip) A common refrain we hear from anti-Second Amendment leftists goes something like this: “Don’t be ridiculous, we don’t want to take your guns.” It’s a way of dismissing our well-founded concerns that American leftists will, if given the chance, will become fascists who won’t hesitate to abrogate even our God-given rights. Yeah, we’ve met them. Of course, variations on the above line are always — yes, always — offered as part of a larger conversation in which they then say something along the lines of: “OK, not all of your guns, just the ones that we’ve deemed super extra scary.”

COVID served as a dry run for replacing the constitution with tyranny. And given today's date, so was 911.

They have been trying to take our guns for a hundred years, especially since 1968. I'm sure there are lists of attempts where they failed or what they wanted was watered down, and the lists would be long. Unfortunately, there are also long lists of their successes. Those tools who blather that The Constitution is not absolute are helping them.

It always amuses me to be told “you don’t need an AR-15.” I always reply “well, fortunately, the founding fathers anticipated busybody morons like you, and that’s why we have the Bill of Rights and not the Bill of Needs.” A fair amount of 2nd Amendment foes are serious fans of totalitarian movements; the rest are intellectually lazy and seriously misinformed. When they talk about restricting some types of firearms, I ask them “what part of the phrase “SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED” is unclear to you? What part do you not understand? Think about it. I’ll wait.” You wouldn’t believe some of the replies. The price of liberty is eternal vigilance.

Remember when the covid masks were only to be required for 10 days? Her majesty's edict will be proven 'miraculously effective' and the 30 days will become permanent unless she's quickly removed from office - not when the SCOTUS puts it on their calendar.

SILVER ALERT: Have You Seen This Man? 4 replies

Someone in Washington law enforcement needs to issue a silver alert for the man who used to be Joe Biden, who is currently play-acting as President of the United States and last seen wandering aimlessly around various events in India, Vietnam, and Alaska. And while they’re at it, maybe round up the Cabal that actually runs the “Biden” White House for elder abuse — and for criminal conspiracy to completely ruin a once-great nation. While Biden further embarrassed himself and the country during a two-nation tour of southern Asia, his team back home continued to chip away at the country’s security.

An old saying among the holders of our nation’s classified secrets sums it up: “You can lead policymakers to intelligence, but you can’t make them think.” Enter President Joe Biden. A president who has taken more vacation days to recover from fewer hours worked than any president in living memory. A man who is the barely breathing role model for the 4-day 32-hour work week that socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders is now advocating. A man who, in rambling, almost incoherent appearances with other national leaders, keeps referring to his aides as the people telling him what to do. Joe Biden’s cognitive ability, never great, has declined over the last year to

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre interrupted and cut off Joe Biden to abruptly end his press conference in Hanoi, Vietnam Sunday evening. Jean Pierre apparently acted to save Biden from further embarrassment in the gaffe-filled press conference that was bizarrely scheduled at the end of a whirlwind jet lag-inducing trip to India and Vietnam that wrecked the 80-year-old Biden’s body clock. Biden was so tired he told reporters, “I don’t know about you, but I’m going to go to bed.” The move by Jean Pierre to interrupt Biden in the middle of his speaking and abruptly end the press conference comes as a new book on the Biden presidency

It’s been a good summer for climate activists who are pushing the false narrative of “climate change.” We had the Canadian wildfires with smoke drifting into other parts of North America. Then there were hotter than usual temperatures in many parts of the country (it’s summertime and I predict temperatures will drop this fall, winter and spring, as usual), followed by a devastating fire in Maui, and then Hurricane Idalia. Never mind that the fires in Canada might have been prevented if environmentalists had not opposed clearing underbrush and removing old trees. The same goes for Maui, along with better management of the fire when it first broke out.

I’m one of those who believes that what stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Sometimes, that good guy is a police officer, and sometimes, the good guy is a civilian. Leftists claim that the good guys’ contribution is so inconsequential that it doesn’t justify honoring citizens’ Second Amendment to keep and bear arms. New Mexico governor Michelle Grisham certainly agrees with that viewpoint. Leftists look to FBI statistics to support their arguments—so will you be surprised to learn that the FBI’s statistics are wrong? And, as always, that the error works to support leftist ideology and political positions?

Joe Biden was in Hanoi on Sunday, meeting with Vietnam's Communist Party leader, General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng. After the meeting, he made some remarks and took a few questions from the press. We probably don't even have to say anymore that it didn't go well, you can just assume that there are going to be big embarrassing issues. Biden started in confusion about whether it was evening there (it was). (X) I think he was trying to make a joke about "Good Morning, Vietnam," which was a famous Robin Williams movie, not a "famous song." And maybe that's not the best movie to bring up when you're in Vietnam.
Court Rules Biden Admin Violated First

The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Friday that the Biden Administration likely violated the First Amendment by influencing tech companies to censor content on the coronavirus and elections. The ruling also removed restrictions “on the departments of State, Homeland Security and Health and Human Services and on agencies including the U.S. Census Bureau, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency,” according to the Washington Post. The appeals court found that those agencies and departments had not coerced social media sites to censor content. Still, this is a huge victory for free speech, and the court was specific and breathtaking in its criticisms.

During Donald Trump’s norm-shattering 2016 campaign, he famously promised to “drain the swamp,” referring to the concentration of power and the penchant for corruption among Washington’s political elite and bureaucratic class. The highlight of this effort was probably when Trump sacked FBI Director James Comey a few months after he became president, ostensibly for botching the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private server and leaked emails, though it was really an attempt by Trump—as he admitted—to quash the agency’s investigation into frivolous claims of Russian election interference. That decision was the tipping point in the events that led to the appointment of Robert Mueller as special counsel

Do y’all remember the time an emotional support animal was kicked off a United flight for being disruptive? In this instance, “being disruptive” included a pig defecating and screaming in the cabin. Passengers were quick to complain about the stink, noise, and awkwardness of it all because, when you pay good money to fly, doing so without a barnyard experience is a reasonable expectation. Thankfully, over the last decade, emotional support animals have been kept on a tighter leash since they are not now, nor were they ever service dogs. Airlines have reeled in their restrictions and put a muzzle on the idea any animal can fly

Whitehouse, an old Yankee trust-fund baby and a descendent of Plymouth Colony Puritans, is trying to play the ethical purity card against Alito, the New Jersey son of an Italian immigrant from Calabria. It should be interesting. A battle as old as the country is brewing, a classic struggle between old nose-in-the-air money trying to shut up those nose-to-the-grindstone

As one person on X (formerly known as Twitter) responded: “Better make sure there’s no second party candidate either, just to be safe. The Democratic mayor of a small Massachusetts city is urging state lawmakers to reform a 40-year-old “right-to-shelter” law that is putting immense strain on the area as thousands of migrant families arrive. Woburn mayor Scott Galvin said by Friday there were about 150 families living in the city’s hotels, an arrangement he called unsustainable for his 40,000 constituents. Under the 1983 right-to-shelter law, Massachusetts officials are legally required to offer housing to any homeless families seeking shelter in the state. The law now covers a rising influx of migrant families, although individuals are not covered under its provisions.

WASHINGTON (AP) — During her husband’s 1992 presidential campaign, Hillary Clinton observed that “our lives are a mixture of different roles” and said most people are trying to find the right balance. “For me, that balance is family, work and service,” she said. Clinton juggled those roles — and more — during eight years as first lady in the White House. She’s returning Tuesday for her first public appearance in the building since the Obama years to indulge her love for the arts.
