Mark Meadows’ “rough day” on the witness stand presented a “big risk” for former President Donald Trump and their fellow codefendants, argued one legal analyst. (CNN Video) The perceived political persecution of Trump has been considered by many to be most dire in the alleged RICO case brought by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, chiefly because the unfavorable jurisdiction was coupled with Georgia’s unique pardoning laws.
As such, an expected motion from the president to move the criminal case from state to federal court likely hinged on his former chief of staff Meadows’ own effort that put him on the witness stand Monday.

A tough day for executive privilege. Trump cannot hold a confidential conversation with his chief of staff?

The SCOTUS HAS to step in. There is a deliberate attempt here to drag this into legal weeds. The clear intention is to interfere with the upcoming election. As a lay person I don’t understand how the SCOTUS does not give cognizance.

Anybody with an opinion about something related to law or courts can be called a "legal analyst" by the snooze media. Kind of like being nominated for President of Harvard might sound impressive, but means squat.

Once again, we are being told what to believe.
One can provide a valuable service for their children by teaching them how to recognize BS and lies, and the people that spread them. As a bonus those children will learn to think for themselves and to value the truth.

A CNN legal analyst has no more credibility than a President of Harvard's Law Review.

publish the transcript of the proceeding and let us decide if it's injurious to our President or not, otherwise keep your slanted and one sided opinions to yourself

IF this is true, the communists are slowly tightening the screws around everyone close to PDJT. Whether or not they face serious consequences is almost NOT the point.
The main objective is to make life miserable for those around him. So miserable these persecution actions will alienate all who are around him now, and those who would serve him later.

I firmly believe that this whole "get Trump" campaign has to do with jealousy. It started the minute he won in 2016. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are very jealous people and Donald Trump has become their obsession.

I don't like seeing this kind of story on Lucianne. It's garbage and it feeds into the narrative of fascist dems. This case is an assault on OUR constitution and OUR freedoms. Don't give it credibility by repeating.

The problem is that the local judges (Feds or state) have to rule on each of these motions. Since the judges picked for these show trials are mostly plants for the deep state (maybe the one in Fla. might be a bit fairer), their rulings are already written NO in big block letters. I don't care what the request is, the answer is NO.
Only then can appeals to a higher court happen. And in DC, and maybe the other jurisdictions, I'm expecting that the appelate courts are going to defer to the local courts or they are in on the scam just as deeply.
At some time, it goes to the Supreme Court. But that could be far into 2024. And if the rule of law EVER would prevail, that may be the place. But you and I know that the wags of the RAT-infested-deep-state-coverup-media-whores will then, and only then, decry the political decision made by that court.
The problem for Pres Trump and his fellow defendants is that they have to bat 1.000 (all not guilty verdicts) on every count, every court, with biased judges and jury pools. Let's just say if Vegas is offering odds on that happening, it might be worth putting a few bucks on it. Because the payoff would be huge -- although my guess is that it won't happen unless the Supreme Court says "We've had enough of this crud."

It seems likely this Obama-appointed judge will send the case back to Georgia. I assume his ruling can be appealed. It would go to the 11th Circuit. I don't think the Supreme Court would be willing to intervene at this point, so the 11th Circuit would probably have the last word.

#16, you are correct. There will be convictions on some of these charges. But they will be appealed and will likely end up at the Supreme Court. All of the election charges involve free speech and cannot be left to some lower-level court. Presumably, Trump will have his sentence(s) stayed pending appeal.
