Suicides by women in Afghanistan are skyrocketing according to a new report that has come out a year after President Biden catastrophically pulled US forces from the country handing it over to the Taliban. The despair of Afghanistan women suffering under the deadly oppression of the Taliban is palpable to all women and it should bring great shame to the Biden administration. One young woman was kept from becoming a doctor and then was forced into a marriage with her cousin who was a heroin addict. She felt she had nothing left to live for

Comments:

Absolutely shameful how the Biden admin has abandoned Afghan women.

Where are all the celebrity women who "discovered" the Taliban after 9/11 and were so vocal about their atrocities? To her credit, Jay Leno's wife was actually sounding the alarm about the Taliban before 9/11 but she went silent years ago. It's tragic and the biggest part of the tragedy is that it didn't have to happen.

There is your war on women, supported fully by the insane "pro women" left. They will help women kill their babies, but also support men to run women out of sports, and let the Islamic 7th century barbarians mutilate their women's private parts and treat them like cattle.

I guess we were supposed to stay there forever. These young women were either born or under five years of age when the U.S. got involved in Afghanistan. Many never experienced life under total Muslim control and came to believe that the democratic like life they grew up in was normal. When the U.S. left, Muslim life happened, and it became a culture shock to them.

Excuse me. The epidemic of suicide amongst young sweet teens and adults HERE IN AMERICA fails to get attention from our “leaders” in Washington D.C. I am not surprised at all that Biden does not care about these women. If pressed enough as the election approaches, his campaign team will probably announce some kind of giant fund to assist the poor Afghan women. Suicidal epidemic among young AMERICANS, however, will still be ignored.

We didn't just let the Taliban do this, we helped them. We pulled out the military forces that had them under control and left them tens of billions of dollars in high tech weapons to use or sell to build their terrorist government. Biden allowed them time to gather from all parts of the country and converge on Kabul before pulling out. It was all a plan and I think we all know who ordered it.

Those poor women. I cannot imagine living in that kind of oppression. The only solution is for them to get out of that country which is virtually impossible. Therefore, I can see how they feel nothing but hopelessness and suicide would be an answer for some women. Afghanistan is lost to reason because of their beliefs and frankly, I don’t see that changing anytime because the root problem is the teaching of their religious leaders who believe women are chattel. Centuries of living under the Islamic system will not change. The only way is to get out and unfortunately that is an impossibility for the vast majority of women. It is heartbreaking but the silence by feminists worldwide speaks volumes. They would rather concern themselves with advocating for gender identity and LGBTQ+ issues than actually shining a light on the plight of these forgotten women. Shame on them.

Our local college newspaper profiled two immigrants from Afghanistan. One was a woman who had a career as an OB/GYN in Afghanistan. She got out as soon as she could but the US doesn't recognize her medical credentials. So she's studying to be a nurse practitioner. She will make a good one. The other was a young man who had helped the US troops and got out as fast as he could. When we had a tornado, he organized a volunteer group to help. This came to the attention of a prominent local businessman who got him into the university. As soon as he finishes, he will have a job with the businessman's company. This warmed my heart and only reinforces my opinion that the United States is the greatest country in the world. The Taliban are scum.

Biden the cheater's Great Surrender of August 2021 in Afghanistan was a death sentence for Afghan women. Monroe-Hamilton's piece unfortunately goes light on the real evil in Afghanistan - violent sexual abuses being inflicted on women who don't "behave". Younger women who are found as "untrustworthy" are imprisoned and the tollybon removes certain gentalia so those women can no longer enjoy having sex. What part of evil is that.

Biden’s rout from Afghanistan left everybody left behind in peril. The version of Islam practiced by the Taliban is brutal, but especially so for women. And, Biden left the Taliban a present of 8 billion dollars of military weaponry, making them the best equipped terrorist in the territory. (Just think if he had removed this weaponry and gave it to Ukraine.) As Obama said, “You can never overestimate Joe’s ability to f**k things up.”

Beginning in April 2014 — one month after then Vice President Joe Biden became “point man” for U.S. policy in Ukraine — Joe’s son Hunter took a directorship of Ukrainian energy company Burisma at a fee of $83,333 per month, or $1 million per year. Burisma was then strongly suspected of corruption, and within only a few months it came under official investigation, following the appointment in early 2015 of Victor Shokin as Ukraine’s General Prosecutor. Then in late 2015 and early 2016, VP Joe Biden engineered the firing of Shokin by threatening to withhold a billion dollars of U.S. aid, which aid he controlled at that time.

The Democratic mayor of a small Massachusetts city is urging state lawmakers to reform a 40-year-old “right-to-shelter” law that is putting immense strain on the area as thousands of migrant families arrive. Woburn mayor Scott Galvin said by Friday there were about 150 families living in the city’s hotels, an arrangement he called unsustainable for his 40,000 constituents. Under the 1983 right-to-shelter law, Massachusetts officials are legally required to offer housing to any homeless families seeking shelter in the state. The law now covers a rising influx of migrant families, although individuals are not covered under its provisions.

What a great question going into the 2024 presidential election! It was asked over 40 years ago and led to one of the biggest landslide elections in U.S. history. Going into the Oct. 28 event, Carter had managed to turn a dismal summer into a close race for a second term. And then, during the debate, Reagan posed what has become one of the most important campaign questions of all time:
