A majority of priests of the Church of England want the church to offer same-sex weddings and allow premarital and gay sex, according to a major survey.
The survey, conducted by the Times, found most Anglican priests think church teaching should be brought into line with public opinion on moral issues.
Most priests support a change to allow gay couples to get married in church, with 53.4 percent in favor and 36.5 percent opposed, revealed the survey, which assessed responses from 1,200 active Anglican priests.
The Church of England currently allows blessings for gay couples but only permits church weddings between a man and a woman.

How does the "Church" feel about premarital gay sex during a gay couples wedding? Perhaps the gay couple, if not interrupted, could have premarital gay sex during the ceremony. Ah, asking for a straight friend.

The very roots and foundation of COE not even Christian. It is nothing like other Christian denominations. It provides the right PR backdrop for the Royals and political establishment. Serious believers in England do not go to this institution. It is literally full of the devil!

I can't remember in which century the Church of England stopped being a church. Probably before Henry VIII tied one or more knots in ties that binds.

Both "fornication," and "men who lie with men," are explicitly listed as sins in the Bible in many places.
COE is just like the Mormons.
Anything they don't like it's just, "that part of the Bible was not translated correctly."
Can't count how often I've heard that since moving to Utah.

Doing the math:
53.4% of 1200 equals about 640.
That's 640 out of 20,000 Anglican priests, or about 3%
Choose the right sample and you can get any result you want.

My God, what has happened to the Church of England. The satanic forces are certainly winning there. Charles, since you are King and head up the Church of England, you care to comment, pal? Obviously, Elizabeth II didn't raise you very well. Otherwise, you would have given the priesthood a thumbs down on this. Or are you too busy sitting on it.

EXACTLY #14 ~ 1 John 2:15 states that we must neither love the world or anything in it. We must choose to do what pleases God, not what aligns with current human opinion about morals or anything else for that matter. He has made Himself very clear about the gay lifestyle BTW; if the priests of the COE do even a cursory search of Scripture on this subject God’s directive is quite easy to find.
These priests don't seem interested or concerned about ensuring their congregations find the path to the narrow road. The desire for popularity seems to be driving their statement. Unfortunately we won't be able to learn if their opinion changed 1 second after they draw their last breaths. At that point, it's too late.

What a bunch of fools. If church teaching was brought in line with public opinion on moral issues then there would be no need for the church and all of those liberal homo priests would be out of a job.

Since real marriage has always been a man and a woman, there is no pre-marital gay sex. That's still sodomy, the sinful nature of which is unaffected by human linguistic manipulation.

Wanna explain those Mosaic Laws regarding stoning to death anyone caught doing the homosexual tango? Please don't respond with that old, "Those laws were for THEIR time, and not for ours," garbage-laden tripe.
The following two verses explain that to these "High Priests of Satan."
--- Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Heb 13:7)
---- In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1)

Churchian religion is what this is. This is in no way, shape or form related to God's word any longer. The UK is truly in a post Christian period and that makes me very sad. As long as they chase the world's approval instead of standing strong for God, they will decline into oblivion.

Church doctrine was handed from the Apostles, once, for all people. "Evolving doctrine" is directly opposed to "once, for all".
This isn't doctrine, it is an id party.
