L.A. Mayor Bass: Lack of Consequences
for Crime Isn’t Causing Retail Theft,
‘Things Like This Happen’ if There’s Profit

On Friday’s broadcast of “The Issue Is,” Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass stated that the issue of retail theft in the city has “nothing to do” with a lack of consequences for crime in the city and “things like this happen” when there are profits. Bass said, “Well, you know what, things like this happen when there [are] profits to be made, and law enforcement put the task force together that I’m supportive of, and it has a number of different agencies, the city attorney, the district attorney, etc., all at the table. And I will tell you that, just the other day, they made eleven arrests.

Make the consequences worse than any profit that might be made. It's pretty simple but not for someone of low intelligence.

To truly comprehend cause and effect, you have to have more than 6 working brain cells. Since there are no lie-berals in this country today with more than 6 working brain cells (or they wouldn't be lie-berals), and Mayor Bass is a huge braindead lie-beral, things are only going to get worse!!!!!

They’re all imbeciles. Given the voter fraud following all Democrat jurisdictions like a trail of smoking garbage still SOMEBODY hadda vote for ‘em, even so Democrat politicians are shall we say seemingly immune to the conclusions determined in normal people by cause-and-effect reasoning. Or are blithely lying through their teeth; knowing full well they are prevaricating but in the expectation their words will be reflexively parroted by a press laboring under the same pretense. The same percentage of news consumers are too unfixably stupid or again too personally corrupt to admit it. A new low. Ya try and stay cynical but it’s so hard to keep up.

Continue down this lawless road and it will ring the death knell for an ordered society. When that happens, chaos and violence becomes the norm, and society as we know it collapses and it becomes the survival of the fittest. Theft is not normal and will have devastating consequences if it continues to be ignored. Leftist radicals in any position of power in our government are driving us into a lawless society wherein they are the arbitrator of law and order. The Ten Commandments have served us well for a reason. They are God’s rules that govern a civilized society. Abandon them at your peril. It will not go well because societies thrive when there is law and order. This lawlessness is one big reason our country is in dangerous decline. We cannot abandon law and order and expect to thrive. It cannot be done.

As always, #20 says it as well as it can be said. I also agree with #21 that the only way to deal with these brazen thieves is to put fear into them, fear of being shot to death by retailers who have finally had enough. If the law doesn't stop these flash mob robbers, good citizens will have to resort to vigilantism. That will get extremely nasty, but the government has failed yet again to protect its citizens and their livelihoods. In bluest areas of the country, it appears that the government cares more for criminals than for its own good citizens. This cannot end well.

And that person with a need is a throwback to an era before humanity would even be considered civilized. And that person only values what they can take with their two hands because it makes it theirs and not yours and might makes right and there is no law.

Just in case you have any lingering doubt about what the Democrats plan to inflict upon America, consider the case of Tim Hernández, whom Colorado party apparatchiks have just selected to fill a vacant state House seat in the Denver area. The charming Hernández is an open and proud Marxist, frequently rails against “Whiteness,” and has called for a “FORCEFUL Cultural Revolution.” He is also, of course, a schoolteacher, busy raising up new cadres of Bolsheviks to bring about the revolution he desires. Every Marxist revolution in history has been accompanied by appalling bloodlust; if Hernández ever gets what he wants, Coloradans can’t say they didn’t see it coming.

As President Joe Biden's open border continues to wreak havoc on the United States, one Democratic city is suffering the consequences. Over the weekend, Texas Gov. The bus, which included 12 families and 21 children, was sent five days after Abbott sent the ninth shipment to the liberal city during Tropical Storm Hillary. “LA has not extended an invitation asking for people to come.

We have so many beautiful sites here in the South, and I love living in an area where I have easy access to the beach and the mountains. There’s nothing like getting out in nature, even if it’s just the woods behind my house. I often hear people talk about communing with God in nature, and while we have to avoid the trap and temptation to become more devoted to the created things than to the Creator Himself, it’s easy to see how people can become closer to God when they experience His creation. John Calvin called creation the “theater of the glory of God.”
