Green Policies and Government Incompetence
Led to the Tragedy of the Maui Fire

As many as 1000 persons, many of them children, may have died as a result of the fire in Maui. The exact toll -- above the hundreds documented -- is difficult to assess right now as the bodies are charred beyond recognition and scientific equipment to test the remains are not readily available, but the tragedy -- naturally and without basis -- is being blamed on "climate change” in many of the media accounts. In fact, these people died as human sacrifices to green policies, legislative and corporate missteps, and administrative incompetence. The citizens of Hawaii, a solidly Democratic one-party state, are learning what those of

Green policies and government incompetence…two facets of the same problem. Govs are elected for three functions, public safety (fire and police), roads, and trash removal. They are failing basic functions.

The other evening last week when Jive at Five was the discussing this disaster, Jessica Tarloff said she loves Hawaii and that it’s a well run state! This goes with what I have said for a very long time, everything that Democrats touch turns to excrement. They have the Touch of Sadim (Midas backwards). As for that guy in charge of the water, he should be locked up per my wife. He"s been reassigned? Lock him up and get him “re-educated”. The same goes for that governor and the alarm guy. They are all your typical ignorant Democrats, and the trouble is that they have taking over our politics.

At last, the doomsday people can point to a human cause for this death and destruction. So now the fairy-fanny folk can really get into their Climate Change mantra. The last thing Maui needs is a visit from some demented US President and his handlers. The last thing Maui will receive this year, is tourist dollars which are very badly needed.

I still think arson is the cause of the Lahaina fire. Claiming a power line fell down in the middle of the night at 12:22am during light winds is a stretch, IMHO. Have we been shown a pic of a downed power line at the fire's source? Nope. And 12:22am was well before the high winds started later that day. Scapegoating Hawaiian Electric seems a little too convenient. As we see with massive wildfires in other places in the world (Canada, the US, Spain, the Canary Islands, etc.) where arson is also suspected, the left is more than willing to light the world on fire to force non-believers to get on board with Klaus's climate change schtick. Making matters worse - there's only two ways to exit Lahaina - to north to Ka'anapali or to the south to Maalaea. During this emergency, the people were doomed to be burned alive in their own cars or houses because local police enforcement was blocking both routes out of town. That only left people one choice - jump into the ocean in the dark and tread water for several hours. Such is the reality of living on an island. And then there is the matter of dimocrat incompetence.

At this point I would say equal parts inexperience, incompetence, and corruption. Has Hawaii ever had a wildfire before? That's inexperience which leads directly to incompetence since they had no clue what they were doing. Finally, the corruption, was the government trying to engineer a 'climate disaster'? Not inclined to give anyone the benefit of the doubt. Dumb question regarding water. Why didn't Hawaii use ocean water to combat the fire? The saltwater might have killed the land, but it might have saved lives too. Was the fire too far away from the ocean? Other stories had people jumping into the ocean to get away from the fire so that would imply the fire was close by.

Most States operate the Emergency Broadcast Service (EBS) that interrupts broadcasts once a week to make sure they could interrupt over-air broadcasts. Under emergencies, almost all local stations would broadcast information related to the major event, and what officials wanted people to do. Was the EBS activated on Maui? Why were people still in their houses instead of heading away from the fire? Were they given ANY instructions? Boats were burned up at the dock! Instead they could have been commandeered by authorities to evacuate residents a half-mile out to sea. So tragic. We should never blame victims. Burning to death is the #1 most feared manner of death. Many, many people through themselves out of very high windows on 9-11 to avoid that fate. Horrible to contemplate, but they chose the #2 greatest fear, which is falling, over immolating.

The only people counted as “dead” by the Democraps in charge in Maui are the ones they’ve been able to identify. There are at least 1,000 more corpses burned beyond recognition - essentially cremated where they fell. They’ve run out of body bags. The time will come, in a month or so ( when they finally get around to it) when anyone who was anywhere near Lahaina at the time of the fire and still can’t be located will be presumed dead. The people in charge are derelict in their duties, caring only about left-wing causes and not fulfilling their responsibilities as elected officials. It’s what all Democraps do.

OK. Let's be fair about this. Name one thing government does well outside of spending other people's money. As for the fire. That area of Maui receives on average about 3 to 5 inches of rain a year. Not much more than a desert. The mountain areas of Maui get between 250 to 400 inches of rain a year. That part of the island is similar to areas east of the Rockies. Where the mountains ring out all of the moisture from storm systems and there's little moisture left once it reaches say an area like say Reno or in this case Lahaina. Add in 70 to 80 mile per hour winds which blow power lines down onto dry vegetation, and fires are bound to start. The rest is all government incompetence. We've seen this type of failure by government countless times. It's not a conspiracy. It's government at work. It's what government does best. Nothing.

The leeward sides of every major Hawaiian island are bone-dry tinder-boxes, waiting for a spark to ignite them, have been for millennia, and will remain so for the next million years or so. If the people of Hawaii don't force the govt to take steps to reduce the related wildfire risk, they have only themselves to blame.

Our pride can drive us to lie, want what belongs to others, take what’s not ours, and so much more. Proverbs 16:18 tells us, “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.” The Apostle Paul reminded the Corinthian church that we shouldn’t ever take pride over gratitude to God for our accomplishments when he wrote, “’Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.’ For it is not the one who commends

“It’s like murdering babies!” So said one lawyer defending the latest federal indictment of President Trump against the charge that it seeks to throw Trump in jail for exercising his First Amendment rights. Others argue that a conspiracy may include all sorts of legally protected activity, like purchasing knives or driving to the scene of a crime, but conspiracy to murder babies is a crime because murder is a crime. The anti-indictment experts are right. The others miss the point. First, the legal basics: a standard criminal conspiracy comprises two parts:
