What's more concerning: that a Republican congressman has religious liberty fundamentally backward or that he’s focused on harassing grassroots conservatives while the GOP presidential frontrunner is indicted with the latest of 91 charges? On Tuesday, freshman Rep. Max Miller from Ohio went on X, formerly known as Twitter, to decry a call for “faith in Jesus Christ alone” as “bigoted.” A post from an Ohio activist apparently set him off. “There’s no hope for any of us outside of having faith in Jesus Christ alone,” wrote Lizzie Marbach.

Hilariously ignorant of how this played out, he went on to tweet in further rebuttal that Jews were God' "chosen people." So, in his weird Jewish mind, it's perfectly fine to proclaim your membership in God's "Chosen people," but not OK for a Christian to proclaim orthodox Christian teaching. What a typical "Chosen people" view of the world.

Although being an absolutely devout Judeo-Christian believing that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and that no one comes to the Father except through Jesus (John 14:6), it is that very belief in God’s love, mercy and salvation that makes an allowance for Representative Miller’s vigorous REACTION to Ms. Marbach’s post to social media about having faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. Just as most posters are displaying their annoyance with what is perceived to be a nasty attack against Ms. Marbach by Mr. Miller, quite likely Mr. Miller was displaying his annoyance with Ms. Marbach’s post about Christianity due to the fact that he was defending his Judaism. Mr. Miller is one of only two Jewish members of the Republican Party in Congress and it may be that in his political capacity, he was mindful of the First Amendment to the U. S. Constitution and religious freedom, while in his personal life he was defending his faith, Judaism. It is not likely that Mr. Miller’s reaction was malicious intent. Ms. Marbach’s acceptance of Mr. Miller’s apology is appropriate and appreciated; however, her admonition for him to pray and seek God’s forgiveness to find salvation was inconsiderate since, repeating, Mr. Miller is one of only two Jewish members of the Republican Party in Congress. His faith in Judaism is clearly as strong as Ms. Marbach’s faith in Christianity. Reminder: Christianity and Judaism believe in the same God. Jesus was born a Jew. Lastly, if AOC hadn’t become involved, perhaps the mainstream media would not have sensationalized this most unfortunate exchange between two people committed to and defending their religious beliefs. Taking the time to look at a photograph of Mr. Miller should vanquish thoughts of him being anything other than a conscientious, considerate, personable young man wanting to serve this country beyond his service as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps and Reserve. Godspeed, Mr. Miller, may your future not be impeded by this regrettable incident.

Hawaiian Electric, the utility company whose power line reportedly played a role in the Hawaiian fires, appears to have focused on green energy development while neglecting to adhere to its own assessment that it needed to increase the safety of its existing infrastructure, The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday. The company concluded that it needed to take much more aggressive action to ensure that its hardware did not emit sparks after the 2019 wildfire season, which was one of the worst recorded in the island of Maui’s history, according to the WSJ.

At least, there should be, due to the revelations that the bureaucrats tasked with managing disasters were absolute garbage at their jobs. The island suffered massive brushfires that killed at least 100 people last week. Over 1,000 people are still missing, and whole communities have been destroyed. The damage currently stands at $6 billion, but that’s subject to change, making this one of the deadliest wildfires in over a century.
