President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will not visit Maui in the aftermath of the deadly wildfires because they “don’t want to distract” from the relief efforts, Harris announced on Friday. (snip)
Neither Biden nor Harris will visit the devastated Hawaiian island despite the destruction, according to Harris. “We don’t want to distract from the resources that need to go in to the victims of this tragedy, and of course, the needs of the first responders have to be able to focus on that issue and not worry about focusing on us [because] we’re there,” Harris told reporters before boarding Air Force Two for Chicago.

I guess no one told him they have beaches there.

We should just tell Biden he already visited Maui. In fact he was already there 30, 40, or 50 times like he went to Iraq and
Afghanistan. And Beau bravely died in Iraq. Yeah...That ought to do it.
Heels-Up Harris should be put in charge of finding the root cause of the fire. That should keep her busy so she is not always thinking becoming the first woman president.

But if it were a school shooting they would rush in with guns blazing (so to speak) to demand the 2nd Amendment be abolished and try to pin the blame on law-abiding gun owners.

Interpretation: "Pfft, this is a campaign season, we have Hawaii already locked up, no CHANCE they will vote against us, no matter WHAT we do or don't, our busy busy schedule (of short weeks, long weekends and entire weeks off) requires only SWING state appearances"

I do however expect Biden to "empathize" by telling a story how HIS personal experience with a home "conflagration"(minor kitchen fire) equates to this event, and his sons death from "Burn Barrels in a Combat zone" does as well.

The 101% politically partisan Biden and his sidekick Harris know through the Obama crew that runs the White House that they already have the Hawaii vote “in the bag. So why spend time going there?

Radio silence so far - - from the gubermint and the meatier - - as to what caused the fires.
Could this be another corrupt coverup? Could the fires have been set by climate zealots - - to prove gullible warming?
HAH! What do you think?

If someone had had a charcoal grill fire in their back yard, put it out in 5 minutes
with a hand held fire extinguisher and there were news trucks from boarder
to boarder broadcasting the 'tragedy' Potato and Heels would already be on their
way ( in separate aircraft !! ) to 'help' with the cleanup.

Note that this Demonic Duo are never very big on visiting areas that just experienced an "Act of God." You'd be a fool not to think that they're a little spooked by the thought of it happening to them too. Well, I have some news for you two...

Did Joe ever make it to East Palestine, Ohio? He said he was going to go. He’s not much on death and destruction. It bores him. And a visit there has nothing in it for him, dollarwise. This doesn’t affect him anymore than inflation affects our multimillionaire, entire adult life in political office resident in the White House.

The actual "Point of origin" of this fire should be easily determined...the wind was only blowing ONE WAY, and doing so strongly..and a small fire with a cone shaped path getting ever larger will be able to be spotted in a matter of minutes on sat views, A follow up in person visit can/will confirm, perhaps preceded by a drone. Just how small the initial location is will be determinative, it may be a single cigarette butt, a frayed wire,...an obvious pool of accelerate...tire tracks in the grass with a scorch from the catalytic converter.(when I lived in the SF Bay area, a famous Music "Icon" complained that hikers and mountain bikers were looking into her yard from the hike/bike path passing behind her house...got the powers that be to close the path, in fact had them install a gate....while welding the gate sparks caught the fields on fire, and burned HER house to the ground)

Is the red cross there? How about FEMA? Where is the military to help with clean up and to search for bodies? Guess we can all wait for the next big explosion or fire. We know there will be one.

They can't go to the border, and they shouldn't go to tragic wild fire places. I just wish they would stop returning from their week-end jaunts!

They. Do. Not. Care.
They don’t care about Ohio, or the southern border, or any other affliction suffered by ordinary people.
And why should they? Pretending they care might lead some to suppose they should care. Why would they invite that?
They care about much more important things.

Or maybe they just don't want to be forced to admit that democrats have screwed up all over the place on that island. Democrats have run Hawaii for a very long time.

I disagree with Biden on everything but this. Cops and other responders have enough to do

Just as well. Diapers would start yammering about when he and Corn Pop used to love toasting marshmallows over a good fire.

I agree with Biden-Harris on not joining to Maui. The first responders have enough to do and wouldn't have time for Dumb and Dumber going there and basically getting the way while doing absolutely nothing.
