David Hand, the son of the director for Disney’s original 1937 animated classic Snow White, has come out against the remake starring actress Rachel Zegler, calling it an “insulting” blight on the film his father helped conceive.
Speaking to The Telegraph, David Hand said that he totally disagrees with the concept of the new Snow White, which eliminated the seven dwarfs in favor of “seven magical creatures” and allegedly eliminated Snow White’s desire to find true love from a handsome prince. (snip) "they’re making up new woke things and I’m just not into any of that,” he said. “I find it quite frankly a bit insulting"

Hawaiian Electric, the utility company whose power line reportedly played a role in the Hawaiian fires, appears to have focused on green energy development while neglecting to adhere to its own assessment that it needed to increase the safety of its existing infrastructure, The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday.
The company concluded that it needed to take much more aggressive action to ensure that its hardware did not emit sparks after the 2019 wildfire season, which was one of the worst recorded in the island of Maui’s history, according to the WSJ.

Herman Andaya, the administrator of Maui’s Emergency Management Agency (EMA), had no prior experience in disaster response before taking on his role in the county government’s crisis response agency, according to CBS News.
The EMA is reportedly the agency responsible for setting off emergency sirens which did not blare as devastating wildfires engulfed huge swaths of Maui and killed at least 110 people, CBS News reported. Andaya was reportedly hired for the job in 2017, beating out 40 other qualified candidates for the role, according to local outlet Maui Now.

The agency headed by M. Kaleo Manuel, the deputy director of the water resource management commission for Hawaii’s Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR), delayed a requested diversion of water to fight the Maui wildfires on the grounds that such a diversion may have affected a local farmer, according to a letter sent by a Hawaiian water management company. (snip) there was a five-hour gap between the company’s 1 p.m. request to divert water from streams in order to assist the Maui Fire Department (MFD) in its effort to battle the blazes and the agency’s 6 p.m. approval of the request.

Representative Ilhan Omar, the "Squad" member with a history of making anti-Semitic comments about American support for Israel, attended the 2022 World Cup on a trip funded by Qatar, the oil-rich Gulf nation that bankrolls the terrorist group Hamas.
The Qatari government paid for the lodging and food for Omar from Nov. 19-23, according to her financial disclosures. The Minnesota Democrat met with Qatari officials and posted a photo from a World Cup match she attended with her husband and former British soccer star David Beckham.

Timothy Parlatore, a former attorney for former President Donald Trump and criminal defense expert, predicted that former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows will succeed in removing the Fulton County, Ga. election case to federal court. (snip) "I think that it's going to be almost impossible to avoid removal. Removal is important because when you have a federal official that is being charged by a state in violation of state law, that's something that you want to have removed to the federal courts so the federal judge can decide, you know, do the federal authorities have some type of ability to do this?" What's more concerning: that a Republican congressman has religious liberty fundamentally backward or that he’s focused on harassing grassroots conservatives while the GOP presidential frontrunner is indicted with the latest of 91 charges?
On Tuesday, freshman Rep. Max Miller from Ohio went on X, formerly known as Twitter, to decry a call for “faith in Jesus Christ alone” as “bigoted.” A post from an Ohio activist apparently set him off.
“There’s no hope for any of us outside of having faith in Jesus Christ alone,” wrote Lizzie Marbach.

For the first time in history, overall viewership of cable TV dropped below 30 percent in July. (snip) For going on 40 years, cable-satellite TV has been the one-legged stool keeping Hollywood in business. Instead of Americans paying to view something specific, we were paying $150 a month for a giant package of entertainment we never watched. And because we paid for and subsidized channels we never watched through our cable bill, Hollywood could afford to keep basement-rated, left-wing propaganda networks like CNN, the Disney Channel, the Comedy Channel, MTV, etc., operational. You might not watch those outlets but you fund them if you pay for cable TV.

The family featured in the Hollywood blockbuster “The Blind Side” fired back Monday at ex-NFLer Michael Oher’s claims they swindled him, calling the allegations “insulting” and hurtful. (snip) “We didn’t make any money off the movie,” Touhy said. “Well, Michael Lewis, the [author of the book on which the movie was based] gave us half of his share. Everybody in the family got an equal share, including Michael. It was about $14,000, each.” Tuohy sold his conglomerate of fast-food franchises for $200 million and took affront to the idea that he would want to profit off of Oher.

A federal appeals court ruled 3-0 Tuesday that Washington D.C. “selectively” used a defacement statute to arrest pro-life activists for chalking a message on the sidewalk while permitting Black Lives Matter (BLM) protestors to mark property without consequences.
During the summer of 2020, at the same time thousands of BLM protestors were taking to the streets of Washington, D.C. and covering public spaces with paint and chalk, two pro-life activists were arrested for chalking the words “Black Pre-Born Lives Matter”on a public sidewalk.
