Former NCAA Division 1 athletes Riley Gaines and Paula Scanlan were among those who were targeted by "hostile" protesters that gathered in Texas on Monday in opposition of the "Save Women’s Sports Act." Texas Gov. Greg Abbott was joined by Gaines and Scanlan at the Texas Women’s Hall of Fame at Texas Woman’s University in Denton for a ceremonial signing of the bill, which was previously signed into law in June. But according to those in attendance, protesters that gathered at the event threw items and spat at those who gathered in support of the legislation. (Snip) I guess the best word to describe them was they were rabid.

Unsympathetic I suppose but my first thought was how advocates of leftist policies might take being subject to the kind of treatment usually meted out to anti-anthropogenic global warming advocates or anti-woke or anti-BLM advocates by leftist demonstrators.

This article reminds me of something I think of often these days. All my life, I have been told repeatedly that “violence never solved anything”. Time and time again, I have seen that this is not true. Two days ago, August 6, was the seventy-eighth anniversary of the atomic bomb attack on Hiroshima, which “solved” the war with Japan. It is really quite simple: if your enemies no longer exist, they are no longer a threat. Problem solved.

I'm old enough to remember seeing people outside of grade schools in the South screaming at little Black children who were going inside. Those children were also protected by armed guards. About the same level of intelligence with both groups. Idiots and morons. BTW...I think Riley Gaines is becoming the Rosa Parks of Women Sports.

I tried to hear every interview and see videos of what went on outside the event. I sure saw few police out there just to be on the safe side. Everyone in LE knows these trans supporters are particularly aggressive. Riley has been subjected to serious bodily threats before. If she was invited she and the other ladies should have been as well-protected from spitting and any aggression as all government aides and government people were on that day.
