Most members of the US women’s soccer team stayed silent during the national anthem before its World Cup opener Friday against newcomers Vietnam — who passionately belted their nation’s tune. The majority of the reigning women’s World Cup champion team stared stoically ahead as the “Star Spangled Banner” blasted across New Zealand’s Eden Park arena. Only five of the 11 players who stood on the field for the anthem — with young, aspiring players standing before them — placed their hands over their hearts, while their six teammates kept their digits clasped behind their backs, video shows. Only three USWNT players — Julie Ertz, Alyssa Naeher and Lindsey Horan — sang

As I said a few days ago, considering the conspicuous lack of patriotism on the US Women's National (soccer) Team, I have a good time cheering against them (while seldom watching the games). Not every women's team soccer player sings from the Rapinoe hymnal, but they're apparently in the majority. What a shame. You might remember that the Resident bestowed the Presidential Medal of Freedom on Rapinoe, which was an act of figurative micturition on past worthy recipients. What is the matter with these people?

Comparing the US team to other spoiled rotten evil modern lie-beral US snowflakes is totally appropriate!!! They deserve all of the derision that they receive since they have the freedom to do the right thing but instead chose to be total witches (or something that rhymes with that)!!! They do not represent the USA in any way other than the team title, and I will not be rooting for them. But to compare them to a team from a totalitarian Communist country like Vietnam is not appropriate. Those people on that team have no choice but to show their "patriotism", or the government can throw them and their families into a labor camp for "re-education" or worse. Every second they are in the public eye, they are being watched. One faltering moment of not showing extreme "pride" in their country can be a fatal mistake.
