Warren Harding’s Real Scandal Was His Conservatism

Original Article

Mark Twain said history doesn’t repeat but it rhymes. (Snip) Harding campaigned on what he called “a return to normalcy” after the upheavals of World War I. Normalcy meant reining in federal spending, and Harding established what became the Office of Management and Budget in the White House. Normalcy also meant a restoration of civil liberties. Wilson’s administration jailed critics of the war, including socialist leader Eugene V. Debs, who ran for president in 1920 while serving a 10-year prison term. Harding commuted Debs’ sentence—and invited him to the White House. That same day, Harding commuted the sentences of 23 others jailed by Wilson as well.

Comments:

Conservatives should pay more attention to Harding. The left managed to smear him because of a sex scandal that was no worse, in fact, less bad, than Clinton's or Kennedy's. It was a tragedy for the country that he died prematurely.

In the last five years, my esteem for JFK has risen, while I have lost almost all respect for both Bushes and Wilson.

Harding did a lot to stop the Wilson march to totalitarianism that FDR continued for, sadly, far too long. FDR did more damage to our republic than any other person in history. So much of the bad that we suffer through today has direct roots in his totally destructive, disruptive and too many terms in office.

Right or Wrong I was taught in history class that Harding was credited as being the dumbest president ever elected -- that even his campaign slogan "a return to normalcy" demonstrated that. Normalcy was not a word. He coined a new word. His presidency was saddled with the Tea Pot Dome scandal and his dealings with corrupt people.

Woodrow Wilson was an evil man. He was a racist above all racists. His predecessor opened the military to all who would volunteer or be drafted. when Woody came into office he pushed for and got a segregated military. He abused black postal workers...more time, less pay. His reputation in history, if positive, is a lie.

 There were on site at least 20 potentially infectious pathogens including those causing coronavirus, HIV, hepatitis, and herpes.  The lab was supposed to be producing COVID-19 and pregnancy tests, but the facility contained items inconsistent with that explanation. The seizures at the lab strongly suggest China's regime is preparing to spread disease in America, undoubtedly in the months before a war.  In all probability, it is from locations like this one where China will "fire the first shot" in the next war.  General Chi Haotian, when he was China's defense minister two decades ago, reportedly gave a secret speech advocating the extermination of Americans with disease.

n Tuesday, President Joe Biden’s Justice Department took the unprecedented step of indicting former President Donald Trump — Biden’s chief rival in the upcoming 2024 election — for repeatedly expressing his opinion that the last election was stolen, rigged, and unfair. It’s an opinion millions of Americans share, and to which they are unquestionably entitled thanks to the First Amendment. That includes Trump, who has said repeatedly (and recently) that the 2020 election was stolen. He’ll probably keep saying it until his dying day, and he has every right to do so.

Hungary is the most controversial small nation on Earth. The headlines in the international press sound the alarm: Hungary represents the “death of a democracy,” the “rise of illiberalism in Europe,” and a “glimpse of our authoritarian future.” Viktor Orbán, the country’s prime minister, is described as a monster—the embodiment of nativism, nationalism, xenophobia, and fascism. Meanwhile, a faction of right-leaning intellectuals has heralded Hungary and its policies as a model for a new conservatism that asserts national sovereignty and uses state power to support families, civil society, and national identity.

I apologize in advance if the title sounds like I’ll be presenting a long essay. This post will be a few snapshots, just to remind readers of the big picture. Right. As if you didn’t know already. Nevertheless, in the current context the big picture is supremely important. The extraordinary jihad against Donald Trump—that’s really the only appropriate word for this unholy war—has been instigated because Trump posed an existential threat to the global ambitions of the American Deep State and Ruling Class. (Snip) Suffice it to say that the central theme of the Neocon controlled Deep State has been the encirclement and gradual squeezing of the Russian

Sen. Ted Cruz took aim Thursday at a Supreme Court precedent that empowers the administrative state at the expense of the people’s will and the Framers’ vision in the Constitution. This Supreme Court doctrine has “played an enormous role in the expansion of the administrative state,” Cruz, a Texas Republican, told The Daily Signal in a phone interview Thursday. “It has resulted in the American people being subject to the tyranny of the bureaucracy, over which they have very little control or ability to demand accountability.” Cruz referred to “Chevron deference,” the doctrine that whenever a law is ambiguous, a federal agency has the authority to interpret the scope

This morning I take a crack at debunking the climate narrative and you won’t believe what they haven’t been telling us (Snip) Surely you’ve seen all the climate hysteria lately, and probably seen lots of counter argument. But there are some things they haven’t been telling us, that are in themselves complete explanations for any increased world temperatures we might be living through this summer. It’s not carbon dioxide, as crypto-marxist, faux protest group “Extinction Rebellion” wants you to think: Let’s meet the historic, record-shattering Hunga Tonga volcanic eruption of 2022, which I bet you never heard of.

A dose of Moderna’s Covid jab injured the hearts of about 3 percent of people who received it, Swiss researchers have found. The vaccinated people did not show obvious signs of heart damage. But when researchers ran blood tests three days after the jabs, they found high levels of troponin, a protein the heart releases when it is injured, in many recipients. “Subclinical mRNA vaccine-associated myocardial injury is much more common than estimated based on passive surveillance,” the researchers concluded. The paper was published last week in the peer-reviewed European Journal of Heart Failure. Over 1 billion people have received mRNA jabs.

Remdesivir may be the most despised drug in American history, earning the nickname Run Death Is Near for its lethal record during COVID. Experts claimed that it would stop COVID; instead, it stopped kidney function, then blasted the liver and other organs. Now this reviled destroyer of kidneys has been approved by the FDA for COVID treatment of kidney patients. Does anybody else feel as if the FDA is shoving its power in our faces and laughing at us? A year ago, Matt K. Lewis, a Senior Columnist at the Daily Beast, did a column of concern trolling called, “‘Anybody but Trump’ Is the Only Way Forward for the GOP.” Lewis wrote, “The GOP’s never been closer to moving on from Donald Trump. “The Jan 6. Committee hearings, coupled with Trump’s mixed record of midterm primary endorsements, have left the 45th president bloodied and bruised even in the eyes of loyal Republican voters. And that’s generating speculation that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis may eventually supplant Trump as the party’s standard bearer.” (Snip) The second question is this: Is Donald Trump a uniquely dangerous person?

Right on schedule. Earlier this month in St. Petersburg, the BRICS -- that is, the nations of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa -- met to consider the application of nineteen more countries to their number, and in two months they will gather against, in Durban, South Africa, with an eye towards laying out an alternative to the U.S. dollar’s dominion over world trade. Algeria, Egypt, Nigeria, Senegal, Sudan, Tunisia, and Zimbabwe, are among those applying to join BRICS. These countries are setting their face against western democracies and their death march into "climate change" degrowth and population reduction. They may save us yet.

At least 70% of Republican voters still believe Joe Biden’s win was illegitimate, according to a recent poll this week by far-left CNN. And they further reiterate that there is no evidence for fraud. There's no evidence widespread fraud affected the outcome of the 2020 election, but Trump and allies have spent years undercutting the election's legitimacy. Wow! It must be so. The main stream media assure us that the election was honest. Yet one third of Americans still believe the election was a fraud. I am shocked, shocked. Anyone who questions the election result is called a fascist or subjected to a lawsuit or prosecution.
