When Ron DeSantis got into a car crash last week, many couldn’t help seeing a morbid irony. The governor’s botched campaign launch set the tone for a spectacular fall from grace. DeSantis was supposed to be the alternative to Trump, the more “electable,” disciplined version who would rescue the country from Joe Biden. DeSantis is now barely scraping by in the double digits and struggling to reassure the wealthy donors who believed he was the key to taking the party back from Trump. On the campaign trail, DeSantis is awkward and unable to connect with voters. The “extremely online

FTA: "Republicans should recognize the urgency of the moment and unite behind him." Amen. The dims are running a coup and that's not Trump's fault. The dims say it is Trump's fault. 'He's just too dangerous.' FTA: "it has shown the whole notion of moving on from Trump to be a premature fantasy of the GOP...." "Moving on" from Trump is saying the coup is justified, "because he's too ..... Trump." DeSantis was foolish to run a campaign attacking Trump while there's a coup going on; Ramaswamy understood how it can be done under these extreme circumstances. And to say that Trump failed to drain the swamp but he, desantis would get it done, is insipidly stupid.

Stop dividing the party. Every public pronouncement by every Republican 24/7 should be election integrity vs election fraud, Push the Supreme Court decision that vote counting stops at midnight. Push the property tax database vs voter database differences. Challenge all voter database changes that create phantom ballots. Challenge "temporary" "emergency" mail-in ballot provisions. or it's already over.

Matthew Boose's article is dead-on right! I like DeSantis as a presidential candidate....maybe in 2028. But the 2024 election winner is Trump. DeSantis has done some good things in Florida, but that state surely would have elected a gay black mayor of Tampa if not for Trump's backing of and campaigning for DeSantis. DeSantis' shots at Trump show he is an ungrateful backstabber. He can do us all a favor before he bows out of the presidential race....he can totally destroy Governor Hair Gel in his debate and expose him for all the world to see.

I don't understand DeSantis agreeing to a debate with Newsom unless he believes he will devastate Newsom, but he also risks getting destroyed himself and that will seal his fate. When Trump first ran in 2015/16, he had nothing to lose and all to gain. DeSantis on the other hand, could have served out his second term as Governor and maybe pursued a third term and then run ever Trump left the scene for good, so to speak, but someone got impatient and/or bad advice.

The establishment views DeSAntis as cannon fodder to stop Trump and peel off or fragment United populist voters. If he wins, the GOPe owns him and Rockefeller republicanism continues. If not, the divided party will unite behind what’s offered, either Romney or Paul Ryan. And lose.

Those calling for the other Republican candidates for POTUS to drop out and unite with President Trump refuse to understand that the whole point of all those other candidates is to get rid of Trump. It is not the Republican Party goal to win the presidency. It is to make sure Trump doesn’t win it, and as such, it will never happen.

America's real president Trump is the only one who can and will successfully fight the tragedies Biden (front for Obama) has caused for our great nation. DeSantis needs to realize that if he's planning to run in 2028 (2024 is Trump's), he needs to dump his RINO associates and go full MAGA. The likes of Karl Rove, Paul Ryan and the Bushes don't fly anymore. Where's he going to get the money? I'm not sure, but RINO money will not help him.

DeSantis just won't listen. This was NEVER his time. He's literally half baked as a presidential candidate. He needs to stay in Florida, and work hard along the great lines that he has been working along and continue to build his brand. He's not ready, and we are not ready. And, frankly, I'm not sure that I am convinced that he can do enough to remove the entrenched Deep State Criminal Cabal in DC. I'm not sure he's up to the job.

Seems like every day someone posts an anti-DeSantis article here. Trump is so far ahead what is the worry? It makes me wonder if some of those posting are shills, that someone actually fears DeSantis getting the nomination if a DC judge or other venue gives Trump jail time. The focus should be on the Democrats, not eating DeSantis.

In his novel The Sun Also Rises, Ernest Hemingway’s character Mike Campbell is asked how he went bankrupt. “Two ways,” he says. “Gradually and then suddenly.” That seems to be true, mutatis mutandis, of revolutions too: some are measured, peaceful; some are not. In thirteenth-century England, King John was, roughly speaking, a tyrant. In a move that is considered a significant step toward the development of modern constitutional law and democracy in the Western world, the English barons met John at Runnymede in 1215 and forced him to sign the “Runnymede Agreement,” which established the principle that everyone, including the king, was subject to the law.

As President Joe Biden and his Cabinet fan out across the country touting his economic record, major features of "Bidenomics" would not be possible if not for Republican support in Congress for a $1 trillion dollar infrastructure measure and a U.S. semiconductor production bill. While the Biden administration attempts to frame his economic record as a “middle-out” and “bottom-up” approach to the economy, in contrast to Republican’s economic philosophy, the most popular parts of the president's package of policies were negotiated and ultimately passed with Republican support.

The purpose of these visits that started with current Secretary of State Antony Blinken in June and included the kowtowing visit by U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen can best be described as the unashamed resumption of the Kissinger School of Engagement with the PRC.

call for a Constitutional Convention of States under Article V of the U.S. Constitution grows louder. The pretext used is the desire to reign in the out-of-control government spending and corruption in Congress. Governments across the globe are nudged by globalists to institute digital currency and, in the U.S., the Constitution stands in the way and it must be modified. Proponents of such a convention even found escapees from communist regimes like Cuba and Venezuela and are using them to make public statements that such a convention would prevent communism from taking hold in this country, a ludicrous idea.

ames Landis is widely credited with crafting the theoretical architecture supporting President Roosevelt’s radical reconstruction—and expansion—of the federal government. Landis shrewdly both established and legitimized the regulatory state, including Roosevelt’s creation of new federal administrative agencies, by offering the regulatory state as the solution to the problem of modern governance: the administrative state “is, in essence, our generation’s answer to the inadequacy of the judicial and legislative process.” The Landis premise took concrete shape through Roosevelt’s expansion of the regulatory state, and in doing so, it brought to fruition Woodrow Wilson’s progressive intellectual project: rule by experts, insulated from the popular will
