NYC Health Official: Illegal Immigration
Bringing Tuberculosis, Polio to New York

Original Article

New York City Health Commissioner Ashwin Vasan announced that illegal immigration has been ushering a new wave of tuberculosis and polio to the city. In a citywide letter to physicians and healthcare administrators last week, Vasan said that the more than 50,000 illegal immigrants that have come to New York City since last year caused a spike in contagious diseases like tuberculosis and polio.“Many people who recently arrived in NYC have lived in or traveled through countries with high rates of TB,” he wrote, as reported by the New York Post.

I'm not a bit surprised. My grandmother grew up at a time when TB was quite common and she was deathly afraid of it. My mother was a nurse and I still remember how relieved she was when they developed the polio vaccine. She marched us all down to get the shot. For a while there, I was hoping that the truly dangerous diseases were being wiped out. Then The Won got elected and the border when to pieces.

Back when Immigration Laws were followed, we had a place called Ellis Island, just off Manhattan island, where immigrants were medically checked for diseases, and fitness to enter the USA without becoming a burden to society. And the immigrant needed a US sponsor to vouch for them or a job. My 4 grandparents. from both sides, passed through Ellis Island.

They are just now waking up to the diseases coming in from illegal immigration? I just read an article yesterday where people infected with leprosy have been crossing the border. Which can easily be spread by close contact, even from things one might not give a second thought to like hotel bed or bed pillow where illegals are being housed. I can't wait to see the reaction in New York when they have to deal with a leprosy outbreak.

And I am certain that there are more "old, forgotten diseases" that are being brought in as "gifts" from every corner of the globe. Central Florida is now the center of an outbreak of leprosy! We are living in truly sad times, where all the government agencies which were created to PROTECT US as a country, are working furiously to HARM US, and to import as many harmful diseases, and destructive forces as is possible. Our government works to destroy the country, every day, all day.

A real bright Administration. They frown on US citizens who do not take vaccinations, but will let the illegals run rampant thru the streets of NY and elsewhere. Send them all back to there native country or to DC and Delaware. They will spread the good news or die of syphillis, polio, leprosy, TB, or drugs and we will still have the burden and expense of disposal. God help this country! Had enough of this so called POTUS and his bright ideas!

Dershowitz: Jack Smith Could be Indicted

Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz says that under his own “fraud” standard, Special Counsel Jack Smith could be indicted for omitting a key portion of then-President Donald Trump’s speech in Washington, D.C. on January 6, 2021. The indictment charges Trump with four counts, including “conspiracy to defraud the United States.” But in a portion recounting Trump’s speech at the “Stop the Steal” rally, Smith repeats the errors made by House Democrats in Trump’s second impeachment trial: he focuses on Trump’s use of the phrase “fight like hell,” and omits a sentence highlighted by Trump’s defense team: “I know that everyone here will soon be marching

History provides examples of third-party presidential candidates swinging elections. Ross Perot denied George H.W. Bush a second term in 1992, running on the Reform Party ticket and garnering 18.9% of the popular vote. Bill Clinton won with only 43.0%. In 1980, Congressman John Anderson ran an incoherent candidacy yet captured 6.6% of votes. Reagan prevailed over Carter 50.7% to 41.0%. It is unclear if Anderson’s bid was engineered by Reagan’s campaign to split votes from Carter. Teddy Roosevelt's 1912 third-party run split Republican votes, yielding Woodrow Wilson, the first progressive leftist president. Now comes RFK Jr. with a platform exhibiting substantial overlap with the MAGA agenda.

Smith already did that in June with the indictment of Donald Trump on charges that he mishandled classified documents. No, Smith and his team have made history in the worst way by attempting to fully criminalize disinformation by seeking the incarceration for a politician on false claims made during and after an election. The hatred for Trump is so all-encompassing that legal experts on the political left have ignored the chilling implications of this indictment. This complaint is based largely on statements that are protected under the First Amendment.

So a Democratic Party operative has once again indicted Donald Trump on transparently foolish grounds. The result of the Democrats’ seeming obsession with Trump is that he continues to dominate headlines and suck up oxygen nearly three years after he lost the presidential race in 2020. This is truly extraordinary. Did Jimmy Carter dominate headlines in 1983, years after he was thrashed by Ronald Reagan? Was Walter Mondale a fixture in the press in 1987, after being clobbered by Reagan in 1984? Were the papers full of commentary on Michael Dukakis in 1991, three years after he was obliterated by George H.W. Bush? How about John McCain and Mitt Romney?

Now that Donald Trump has been indicted for using lies about the 2020 presidential election to seek to overturn its results, it’s become a matter of grave national concern that big majorities of Republicans apparently don’t think he was lying at all. A new CNN survey shows that 69 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents do not believe “Joe Biden legitimately won enough votes to win the presidency” in 2020. It’s worth asking what if anything might have convinced them to believe Biden’s win was legitimate, if only to establish what could happen differently in 2024 to avoid another contested Democratic win — if not an attack on the Capitol.
