Secretary of State Antony Blinken was roasted online for condemning Russia for convicting opposition leader Aleksey Navalny on “politically motivated charges” while his own government is prosecuting the Biden administration’s leading opponent, President Donald Trump. Navalny was given an additional 19-year sentence on Friday for promoting “extremism.” Navalny was already serving a 9-year term for parole violations, fraud, and contempt of court, reported CBS News.
Blinken posted on Friday, “The United States strongly condemns Russia’s conviction of opposition leader Aleksey Navalny on politically motivated charges.

Joy Reid just can’t help herself when it comes to inserting race into absolutely everything and the upcoming trial of former President Donald J. Trump in a Wahington, D.C. courtroom presided over by a hostile Obama-appointed judge is no exception. During MSNBC’s coverage of Trump’s traveling to the nation’s capital for his arraignment on Thursday, the “race lady” took great pleasure in pointing out that both of the judges who the former president faced would be women of color, seeming to suggest that their ethnicity could have an effect on how the trial will play out.

One of the veteran attorneys advising special counsel Jack Smith in his prosecution of former President Donald Trump has donated thousands of dollars to Democrat politicians, including President Joe Biden.
David Rody left his role as a partner at the Sidley Austin law firm in 2022 to join the Department of Justice (DOJ) as a senior counsel in the criminal division. Now, he is helping advise Smith, who has indicted Trump twice for his alleged efforts to challenge the 2020 election and his handling of White House documents.
Interestingly, Rody is a Democrat donor who donated $5,600 to Biden in 2020 and nearly $7,000 to other Democrat causes from 2018 to 2022.

After three indictments and a slew of spurious criminal charges brought against Donald Trump, the former president may have a genuinely ingenious move up his sleeve in his never-ending battle with the American political machine.
The move is a simple one: Try me if you must, but let the whole world watch.
This tactical zigzag has been lost in the noise of the third indictment, but it was proposed last month by Trump attorney John Lauro during an interview on the Fox News program “America Reports.”

Donald Trump's legal team responded to a protective order from Special Counsel Jack Smith regarding a social media post from the former president.
The filing came after Trump posted on Truth Social on Friday stating, in capital letters, "If you go after me, I’m coming after you!"
Prosecutors say that a "substantial" amount of evidence is about to be handed over to Trump's legal team, "much of which includes sensitive and confidential information. The protective order would limit what Trump as well as his legal team can publicly share about the case.

Former President Donald Trump’s assertions during the 2020 presidential campaign about the Biden family’s foreign business dealings have proven to be accurate.
Trump routinely criticized then-Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden about his son’s dealings with Ukrainian, Russian and Chinese associates when he was on the campaign trail, most notably at the presidential debates leading up to the November 2020 election. Watch: (Video) “China ate your lunch, Joe. And no wonder your son goes in and, wha—, he takes out billions of dollars. He takes out billions of dollars to manage. He makes millions of dollars. And also, while we’re at it, why is it — just out of curiosity —

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is the most disliked Republican candidate in the GOP primary field, this week’s Morning Consult survey found.
As is consistent with past weekly surveys, Trump continues to stand as the candidate with the highest favorability among Republicans, with 71 percent viewing him favorably. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis comes in second place with 63 percent reporting a favorable view of the presidential hopeful. Both Trump and DeSantis, however, see roughly a quarter of respondents reporting an unfavorable view of them — 26 percent and 23 percent, respectively.
Half view former Vice President Mike Pence favorably, but he has the second highest unfavorable rating among all candidates listed,

Friday, during an interview on FBN’s “Kudlow,” Harvard law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz once again criticized the four-count indictment against former President Donald Trump regarding the 2021 Capitol Hill riot.
According to Dershowitz, the indictment approached “banana republic land,” and he accused the Biden administration of being “afraid of the democratic process.”
“We know that President Biden urged his attorney general to indict the man who he knew was going to be the leading opponent if against him,” Dershowitz said. “That begins to look like banana republic land. That’s what happens when people in power are afraid of the democratic process.

U.S. Senate candidate and Riverton, Utah, Mayor Trent Staggs told Sirius XM’s Breitbart News Saturday that Utah voters are “tired” of Sen. Mitt Romney’s (R-UT) “misplaced or misguided passion against” former President Donald Trump and slammed him as “so out of touch” with voters.
Staggs joined the program following Breitbart News Washington Bureau Chief Matthew Boyles’s on-camera interview with the 45th president late last month, in which Trump called Romney a “Loser” and said “[t]he right candidate” would unseat him if he runs for reelection.

President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden have been branded as 'inconsiderate, entitled and lousy' by Politico over the misbehavior of their dogs.
Both dogs made headlines for their violent behavior toward staff - in particular Secret Service agents.
The White House is now giving, one pooch named 'Commander,' extra training after being involved in 10 White House and Delaware attacks going back to last year. While, 'Major,' the other dog, was given to family friends in December 2021 - the same month the Biden family got Commander.
The Politico piece titled 'Don't Blame the Dog. Blame Biden,' columnist Matthew Schaffer tore into the First Family.

The conservative mindset apparently is just not genetically oriented to playing political hardball. Time and again, progressives take the initiative and mount political and PR offensives against conservatives, rocking them back on their heels, defining the narrative in terms favorable to progressives and pre-emptively shaping public opinion in the minds of the persuadable voter. The notion of “facts” or “accuracy” doesn’t matter in the progressive playbook. The only thing that matters is going on offense.
Conservatives are forever playing an inadequate game of catchup. That is, when conservatives even bother to fight back at all. Too often, they simply absorb the blows unanswered, pleased with themselves for simply surviving

Staff at a life-coaching company have started questioning the Duke of Sussex's work there.
They have turned on the Duke – who reportedly earns a seven-figure salary as chief impact officer – after more than 100 San Francisco-based BetterUp employees were laid off last week.
The staff claim he has become a 'distraction' with one concluding that with Harry 'the juice isn't worth the squeeze'. Another BetterUp employee was asked about Harry's day-to-day responsibilities.
'From what I see I'm going to go with zero things,' he replied.
