FTA: Is the Biden administration really willing to deploy cluster bombs or is this some PR narrative intended to give the impression the U.S. is willing to up the stakes in the use of weapons that will continue escalating, regardless of consequence. There are a lot of unstable minds within this larger Ukraine narrative as promoted by the White House, Pentagon and State Dept (CIA).

From commenter Totally_Disillusioned at CTH: There’s legitimate reasons why the majority of the World bans cluster bombs – 40% of the clusters do not detonate on impact. Debris, overgrowth hide these bombs sometimes for years later only to be detonated by a plow, construction/cleanup machinery, killing or severely disabling innocent civilians. Their threat to civilians is higher than IEDs as they have a much wider range of damaging shrapnel. The Marxists are transforming America into an evil bully the influence of which is reflected onto the American citizens themselves. The world hates us. Another commenter remarks that dangerous remains of US cluster bombs dropped decades ago are still all over Vietnam.

Good news, IMO. I am amazed at the folks who apparently buy all the Russian propaganda, and want Ukrainians to die just to spite Idiot Joe. I despise the man intensely, but this policy of supporting a country to fight THEMSELVES for their freedom against the Russian invaders is the right thing to do. I don't care WHAT country is invading or being invaded, to just take it over, I'll support the country defending and think the USA should also.

Cluster Munitions to Ukraine. The gift that keeps on giving.... For Decades after the war has ended. Assuming we all aren’t destroyed by global Nuclear War and the Ukraine war actually ends, the cluster munitions JoeBama wants to give Ukraine, will, in the long term. likely end up maiming or killing more Ukrainian peasants than they do Russian troops and machines. I sure wouldn’t want to be a Ukrainian Farmer plowing my fields that are currently battlefields, or a Ukrainian child playing in the woods that are now providing concealment for ‘ruzzian troops’. Oh, and the ignorance of some people is stunning (Including the author) What Joe is giving Zelenskyy is not cluster BOMBS to be dropped from airplanes, but 155mm artillery cluster rounds, to be delivered by artillery. And the reason that Joe is sending the cluster rounds is because the U.S. has already sent them nearly all of our more conventional 155mm rounds. We are out of them ourselves, so don't expect the U.S. to have much of an Artillery response if a foreign army of significance attacks US. Zelenskyy burns through SEVEN TIMES the amount of 155mm ammo that the U.S. is capable currently capable of producing in a given period... That is why 0Biden was begging South Korea to give up most of theirs a couple weeks ago.

I think it's a good thing to support the Ukrainians who are fighting the Russian invasion. THEY are standing up, THEY are doing the fighting. We're just giving them the equipment they need. It's not like previous situations where America's young men are fighting and dying, and the people we are supposedly fighting for are lackluster at best or completely MIA. On the other hand, I despise the corruption that is -said to be- also going on. America should not be paying Ukraine's civil service retirement pensions. America should not be shoveling money that is going down ratholes. America should not be supplying arms that are being diverted and sold on the black market -if this is really happening. (By the way, how does one tell if American equipment on the black market came from Ukraine, or the $70,000,000,000 'stash' that Crooked Joe turned over to the Taliban? I despise the 'war profiteers', like the arrogant young Blackrock guy on O'Keef's video who says that "War is Good for Business". But, there are so many lies.... Is there really all this corruption, or is that a lie designed to get us to stop supplying the Ukrainians? I don't believe Putin, on the other hand I know that Biden is a liar, and the people working for him are also liars. Stepping back and taking a wider view, I understand that when there was the 'coup' or government change in Ukraine a few years ago, there was some international conference where NATO and Russia made an agreement that NATO would not expand any farther to the east, and there would be a 'buffer' of 'neutral' countries between the NATO countries and Russia, I understand that since then, several of these agreed-to-be neutral countries have joined NATO, and Russia feels betrayed and threatened. On the other hand, these countries are joining NATO because Russia keeps invading and taking over parts of these countries. It gets complicated, especially when there is not true, agreed-on reliable information. I am concerned -not yet 'afraid', but concerned- that this crooked senile Fool we have, and his evil handlers 'behind the green curtain' are going to get us into a serious war with Russia, while at the same time doing everything that they can -cutting off and depleting our petroleum supply, increasing world oil prices (which benefits Russia), demoralizing our military people- to weaken the US and setting us up to LOSE..... Especially if China takes advantage of our weakness and preoccupation, and jumps in to take Taiwan, and who knows what else. I hope I'm wrong, but it might get Ugly, REAL Ugly!

#4 "Cluster bombs" has become a generic term for weapons that scatter explosive sub-munitions, or bomblets, over a target. Ukraine does indeed want those aerial bombs, but to disassemble so as to harvest the individual bomblets. The are great for dropping on vehicles from drones. Much better than what they use now. You are quite right. Neither Ukraine nor Russia is going to send a jet into Igla/Stinger country to drop a cluster bomb. The cluster weapons that will be used "as is" are DPICM artillery shells and rockets fired from HIMARS/MLRS.

A second thought..... This area was fought over -fiercely- by Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union in World War Two I wonder..... how much unexploded ordinance is still lying around from THAT conflict, and how many people are hurt or killed every year from that? Going back even farther, I believe that there are areas in France, where the trenches were in World War ONE, that have so much unexploded ordinance still in the ground, that the areas are closed to people. The US is abandoning its moral authority on the world stage. That is intentional. Anything that hurts America. Who is manufacturing these bombs and how much are they paying the Bidens? Between Ukraine and the arms manufacturers, our politicians (especially the Bidens) are getting rich off of this. The usual suspects have weighed in on recent belated efforts to enforce U.S. immigration laws. Our now bankrupt media, the corrupt government of Mexico, and the Diversity/Equity/Inclusion apparat have damned a series of laws recently passed by the Florida legislature and signed by Governor Ron DeSantis that enforce existing federal immigration laws. Such critics seem oblivious to the current violence that is paralyzing Europe in general, and in particular France—as if such European chaos offers no lessons for the U.S. or any other salad-bowl, open-borders Western nation. Florida decided no longer to provide de facto and illegal exemptions to foreign nationals who entered and now reside in the state illegally.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen was slammed for bowing multiple times when she met with China's vice premier He Lifeng, as some critics say the protocol error is a sign of American weakness. Yellen, who served as chair of the Federal Reserve before becoming Joe Biden's top financial official, wrapped up her first visit to China as treasury secretary on Sunday. Moments after bowing at least three times, Yellen then stumbled over He's name, calling him 'Vice Premier Hu.' Both Washington and Beijing said the meetings during her four-day trip were fruitful, although the visit - designed to help smooth a rocky relationship - did not generate any concrete agreements.
