The headlines were stark and specific. Reuters claimed, “World registers hottest day ever recorded on July 3.”
Well, “ever recorded” is misleading since the records have only been “recorded” since 1979. But what kind of a headline would that have been?
At least the BBC was honest about their scare headline: “World’s hottest day since records began.”
The bottom line: We’re all going to burn up and we’re all going to die unless we throw an hysterical climate change tantrum and demand that our government take panicky steps to save us from the climate change demons.
There’s no doubt that this Independence Day was hot. It was very hot. It was uncomfortably hot

It rankles me to hear 'educated' weather people say that a particular day is so many degrees above 'NORMAL'. There are averages which change as new data are included, but normal?

Endless repetition of the Official Position lulls The Gullibles to be True Believers who get angry at Nonbelievers.
If they would take a single one of the repetitions that appear in the “news” daily and trace the assertions made in it to their factual bases, they would realize that they are no factual bases to support the repetitive assertions.
The Gullibles have been conned.

Ever notice most of the highest temperatures on a given day are in the 1920's and 1890's?

"Record setting temps"...I saw yesterday that the record hot day for Toledo was 105degrees in 1937, and the record cold was -20 degrees in 1987. CLEARLY that is PROOF that the climate had gotten colder over that 50year span....right?

Greenland, which today is under (average) 2000 ft of ice, was given that name by the Vikings who arrived there in 1000 a.d.. Because to them it looked like Ireland. Hottest day ever??

Lots of reasons to question the data. Russia closed down a lot of weather stations in Siberia due to the war. How many stations are there in Antarctica? How believable is anything given to us by the governmant?

Global warming is a hoax pushed by Marxists and originally conceived in the dying embers of the Soviet Union. The USSR dissolved but global warming was adopted by European leftists and eagerly embraced by the American Democrat party. Global warming has made people like Al Gore fabulously rich and other Democrats have used it to political advantage. They get elected and begin to build their fortunes. Privately, they sneer at believers as 'useful fools.'

Our weather people give us temperatures in 'heat indexes' which is a made up number. It's the feels like number. So if the temp is 93, the heat index is 101. I rarely hear the 93, just the 101. This is the coolest summer I've ever lived through. I'm 75 years old and live in Oklahoma. Many days we don't even get to 90 and many nights it cools down into the '60's. So no, earth is not warming, just the lies from the government are.

It is a very good point to emphasize - that the data doesn't really support the concept of global warming in part because most of the reporting stations are 'urban-biased.' The 'urban heat island' effect is well known and accepted, especially by the enviro-maniacs who promote the silly Climate Change rhetoric. Anyone can test it. Just stand in the street or sidewalk downtown, then travel to a vegetated area just a few miles away. It will feel hotter in the City because it is hotter - as much as 10 degrees F. Besides, global averages are pretty meaningless considering that at any given moment, temperatures can differ as much as 200F, depending on location - i.e., Antartica vs Death Valley.

Gee, I would never had guessed. We had one of the most pleasant weather on the fourth we have seen in years. Over all our average temperatures here this year have been on the cool side. Another thing, unless you live in a desert your weatherman can’t accurately tell what the weather will be the day after tomorrow.

Rush would always ask a simple question... "what should the normal average temperature be"???? How do we know that the earth shouldn't be warmer? Or cooler? Climate change is the biggest fraud in history.

It's time for Attorney Generals of States to sue the Federal Government over censorship and/or violations of the First Amendment. States should also refuse to comply with ANY Federal government censorship, and to pass legislation stating that "Any corporate entity found to enforce or participate in Federally sponsored "censorship" will risk fines of no less than $10 million dollars for each violation..."

When I visited Mt Vernon many years ago, they showed a log kept by George Washington who wrote down the temperature at the same time every day He lived there many years and maybe we need to use that as a base for at least what the temperatures were in his era. And don't say that his reading are wrong because of today's much superior technology. Ice has always formed at 32 degrees Fahrenheit and water at 212. They knew how to build a thermometer. It might be worth a trip there and check it out.

Since the hurricane season has been quiet so far this summer, you knew the lyin' sacks of _ _ _ _ had to come up with something quick to fill the void. It's a good thing (for them) the southern U.S. has been on the hot side for the last month, and more of the country falls in line with typical summer heat. Makes it a lot easier to scare people when the big bad hurricanes ain't a blowin'.
Although we still have the peak of the hurricane season upcoming, it would be nice to see a quiet tropical season. AND, if it cools off quickly this fall and/or we have a cold winter, everyone knows we're going to hear more of the same blather from these charlatans.

The real “inconvenient truth” is every last one of these predictions is based on math models. At best, math models are computer programs created using somebody’s best guesses about what going to happen in the future based on selected data from the past. We have very good evidence that the Earth has gone through at least two ice ages and the medieval warming period when the weather was warmer to the point that no winters were experienced for severally decades. Yet none of these math models can account for these long periods of overly cold or overly warm periods last many, many years. It indicates that the math models do not include all the factors that drive changes in the climate. And, two hot days of weather in some places does not indicate long term trends in worldwide climate.
Likewise, picking two of the coldest days some place in winter is not proof of a worldwide climate cooling trend.
