The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) issued a sharp rebuke to 31 Catholic Democratic members of Congress who have used their faith as a defense for their pro-abortion views. "Members of Congress who recently invoked teachings of the Catholic faith itself as justifying abortion or supporting a supposed right to abortion grievously distort the faith," said the June 28th statement, which was entitled, "U.S. Bishops' President and Chairmen Rebuke Distortion of Church Teaching in Abortion Statement by Members of Congress."

I don't like talking about excommunicating politicians. But She's the one who brought the Church into it and perverted the faith for her war on children. But the Bishops! The "Princes" of the Church! They see fit to take the Lord's promise of hellfire to anyone who would harm a child, and instead issue a strongly worded letter. I am well and truly disgusted with these men. I don't expect mercy from the wolves. But I expect the shepherds to do their jobs.

The old "my conscience tells me that it is ok" argument. You have to create a well formed conscience before playing that card. Supporting abortion because it is part of a political platform and gets you votes doesn't cut it.

First, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson releases a blistering defense of racial discrimination in her dissent from the Supreme Court’s affirmative-action decision Thursday. Then, on Friday, Justice Sonia Sotomayor puts out a largely incoherent defense of state-compelled speech in commercial life. The illiberal wing of the Supreme Court is having a tough week. As soon as the Supreme Court ruled in favor of a Christian web designer named Lorie Smith, who had refused to create a gay wedding site, CNN blasted out this headline: “Supreme Court limits LGBTQ protections.” CBS News followed by claiming the court ruled in “favor of a Colorado web designer who said her religious beliefs

Boston University School of Law students were offered therapy after three controversial Supreme Court decisions this week about affirmative action, religious freedom and student debt forgiveness. The BU Law Student Government Association's (SGA) statement, sent out to law students Friday afternoon, denounced the three Supreme Court decisions of the week: Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard, 303 Creative LLC. v. Elenis and Biden v. Nebraska. In an email obtained by Fox News Digital, the student board began by lambasting the Supreme Court's decision in the Students for Fair Admissions case, which declared race-based affirmative action in college admissions is unconstitutional.

Former New York state Democrat Sen. "In 2012, I graduated from Fordham Law School with $180,000 is student loan debt," Biaggi wrote in a tweet. "I’ve been paying loans for 11 years. Even paid two of them off completely." "In 2023, my balance is $206,000," added Biaggi, who represented New York's 34th district during her three-year tenure in the state Senate.

Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch issued a harsh rebuke of Justice Sonia Sotomayor’s dissent in the case of a Christian web designer who the court ruled was not obligated to design websites for gay couples. "It is difficult to read the dissent and conclude we are looking at the same case," Gorsuch wrote in the 6-3 Supreme Court decision on Friday. That decision said web designer Lorie Smith was not legally required to design websites for gay marriages because doing so would violate her free speech rights and Christian beliefs, despite a Colorado law that bans discrimination based on sexual orientation. Gorsuch said Sotomayor’s dissent in the case "reimagines the facts"

Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson hardly feigned interest in adjudicating the constitutionality of affirmative action in her dissent today. Remember all that talk about Jackson’s “progressive originalism?” It’s not a thing. Instead, Jackson offered more than 9,000 overwrought words of leftist social commentary, “expound[ing] upon the universal benefits of considering race in this context.” Her embrace of identitarianism and defense of Asian-American discrimination is jarring. Jackson believes state-funded institutions should judge Americans by their immutable characteristics and historical sins rather than their individual accomplishments and actions. It’s really that simple.

Republican presidential candidates are applauding the ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court's conservative majority to severely limit the use of race in determining college admissions. In a 6-3 decision announced on Thursday, the justices ruled that the use of race as a factor in college admissions was a violation of the 14th Amendment's equal protection clause. The Supreme Court's ruling upends decades of affirmative action programs that colleges and universities had used to select students. "The world admires America because we value freedom and opportunity. The Supreme Court reaffirmed those values today," GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley wrote in a statement.

"The Bidens are the best at doing exactly what Chairman wants." The latest WhatsApp message from Hunter Biden to a Chinese businessman may be the perfect epitaph for the entire Biden corruption scandal. Indeed, it may be the most accurate statement ever made by Hunter Biden. This is precisely what the Bidens are the best at: selling access and influence. Years ago, I wrote how the Biden family has long distinguished itself in all things corrupt from nepotism to sweetheart deals to influence peddling. Bidens like Hunter's uncle James have been repeatedly criticized for cashing in on claims of access to his brother.

The U.S. Supreme Court handed down a major ruling on affirmative action Tuesday, rejecting the use of race as a factor in college admissions as a violation of the 14th Amendment's Equal Protection Clause. Many universities have argued that race-based admissions ensures that student bodies remain diverse, while critics such as the plaintiffs in the cases argue the policy discriminates against many qualified students based on race. Students for Fair Admissions, a student activist group, brought cases against both Harvard and University of North Carolina.

Internal Revenue Service whistleblower Gary Shapley defended his claims that Hunter Biden got special treatment from the Department of Justice in an interview on Fox News' "Special Report." Shapley, a 14-year veteran of the agency, has come forward with accusations that prosecutors put an investigation into Hunter Biden's finances "on the back burner" as the 2020 election approached. He further claims that David Weiss, the Trump-appointed U.S. attorney in Delaware, said privately on several occasions that he was not pulling the strings and that he was not in charge of the investigation. Shapley said he was in a meeting last fall when Weiss admitted he was not calling the shots.

Sources close to former President Trump say he has a plan for keeping Congress from ever again forcing him into “disgraceful” and “ridiculous” spending situations. If he returns to the White House, Trump will seek to resurrect authority that Congress stripped from the presidency almost a half century ago. What President Nixon squandered, his campaign promises, Trump will restore, namely the impoundment power. “A lot of you,” the former president told a New Hampshire crowd Thursday, “don't know what that is.” Indeed, few now remember it. Impoundment, if restored, would allow a president, in theory, to simply refuse to spend appropriations by Congress.

Sec. State Blinken ordered this review of the department’s response to the Afghanistan withdrawal. The result is critical of both President Trump and President Biden saying they failed to plan appropriately for the withdrawal. The report is sharply critical of the U.S. government’s handling of the most serious evacuation crisis since the fall of Saigon. It says President Biden and his predecessor, Donald Trump, each failed to appreciate how a U.S. military pullout would affect the Afghan government’s stability, and that standard summer diplomatic rotations in the weeks ahead of Kabul’s collapse left the U.S. evacuation in the hands of personnel who in some cases had been in the country
