Many people are familiar with the account in the biblical Book of Genesis about the two sin-filled cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and their cataclysmic destruction.Yet many in this modern, scientific age struggle — or outright refuse — to accept that the cities ever really existed, much less that God wiped them out with fire from heaven. After all, to believe Genesis would be to accept that God is real, the Bible is true, and that God really does bring judgment against individuals, cities, and even whole nations if they stubbornly reject God and flagrantly disobey His commands.

What an appropriate find considering the modern-day rubbish that we now have to experience on a daily basis.

I found it interesting that previous archeologists ignored the Bible when "deciding" where Sodom "should" have been located. Their brilliant conclusion being the southern shore of the Dead Sea and they came up with nothing. However, Dr. Steven Collins using the plain geography cited in Genesis found the ruins of the biggest Bronze Age city ever discovered on the banks of the Jordan River, a more reasonable location for habitation. The real zinger is the sudden ending to city by catastrophic fire. Isn't there something in Scripture about secrets being revealed in the End Times?

Has the Dead Sea been verified as the place where Lot's wife was turned into a pillar of salt?
There have been some accounts that swimmers can float upon the waters of the Dead Sea because it is so salty.....

Re #15 and OP, a quick search shows a similar article in 2015 and a few updates since then.
But nothing current. I even checked the Jerusalem Post website and didn’t see anything.

Fascinating. While I struggle with the difference between the Old Testament God of Wrath and the loving Father of the New Testament, I sure wouldn’t mind a little Old Testament justice in the world right now.

All of the information I have is found at the original article source beneath the headline
I tried to post an update to the information from Rosenberg’s show on Thursday night, 6/29/23, but it was taken down, I guess. Staff may have thought it contained the same information.
The link to the video is in the article that is posted. I don’t know if part 2 of the video is available yet on YouTube, but I know part one is available there.
