Standing before a 20-foot American flag in an evangelical church in Iowa, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis made his first appearance as a presidential candidate.
“The tired dogmas of the past are inadequate for a vibrant future. We must look forward, not look backwards," DeSantis said. "We must have the courage to lead, and we must have the strength to win, because the stakes couldn’t be higher.”
A few hundred supporters packed into Eternity Church in Clive, filling the seats of the small auditorium and standing along the grey cinderblock walls. Cheering drowned out the music when Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds welcomed DeSantis to the stage and as he took the podium.

Tuesday is the deadline for the FBI director, Christopher Wray, to hand over a document that’s said to detail alleged corruption by President Biden while he was serving as vice president, but for weeks Mr. Wray has shown little interest in complying with Republican investigators probing the Biden family’s years of murky financial dealings.
The chairman of the powerful House Oversight Committee, Congressman James Comer, asked for the letter in early May, but Mr. Wray and the FBI have so far declined to turn it over.

Brazilian socialist president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva received Venezuelan communist dictator Nicolás Maduro for a bilateral meeting on Monday (29).
Despite the United States offering a $15 million reward for information leading to Maduro’s arrest, the socialist government of Brazil disregarded the US stance and held an official ceremony to welcome the Venezuelan dictator.
Maduro traveled to Brazil for the upcoming summit of South American leaders. He arrived at the Government Palace accompanied by his wife, Cilia Flores and was greeted by Lula and the First Lady, Rosângela da Silva.

Globalists are reviving the QAnon bogeyman for the 2024 election, ignoring its interment after 2020. It was mothballed after successfully lulling Trump-supporters into complacency.
The outlines of a sophisticated psy-op campaign are coming into focus. At the 2023 Frontiers Forum in Switzerland, Israeli historian, World Economic Forum contributor, and professional worrywart Dr. Yuval Harari warned that A.I.-generated cults will commandeer public discourse:
"Millions"? Where? Was this a warning or a signal that the media zone will be flooded with misinformation?
Harari is described as the High Priest of George Soros's Open Society. His leading promoter is Bill Gates — Mr. Vaccine, WHO benefactor,

Let's take a look at the "Fair Tax" and see how fair it really is.
Yes, it would tax health care and health insurance. Why would people think United Health Care, Aetna, and other very profitable companies would not only not pay income taxes or payroll taxes, but would also be somehow exempt from the fair tax as well? What about cars? GM, Carvana, all car manufacturers, and car-dealers would not only not pay income taxes or payroll taxes, but also be exempt from the national sales tax?
Almost everything would be taxed, or else they wouldn't collect the money the federal government supposedly need.

CNN’s Christiane Amanpour appeared tone deaf to the public outcry over her “news analysis” involving a mother and her two young daughters left for dead by three Palestinian terrorists in Northern Samaria.
She used the blatantly false term “shootout” to describe the cold-blooded murder of Lucy Dee and her two daughters, Maia, 20 and Rina, 15, as if suggesting an exchange of gunfire had taken place at the time the terrorists sprayed bullets into the Dee family vehicle. The Dee family was unarmed and en route to a holiday at the seaside.
Amanpour’s fanciful imagination at painting a “moral equivalency” between the two groups was not lost on Rabbi Leo Dee,

After several failed attempts to delay her time behind bars, Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes is set to report to federal prison this week.
The disgraced entrepreneur was sentenced to over 11 years in prison and ordered to pay $452m (£365m) with her former business partner Sunny Balwani to dozens of high-profile investors they defrauded through a blood-testing start-up.
It's a sizeable bill for the former billionaire, who has claimed she does not even have enough money to pay her lawyers.
In US federal court, convicted offenders are sometimes ordered to pay restitution.
This is a reimbursement to victims for lost income, property damage, medical expenses or other financial costs related to the crime.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan may have serenaded his supporters by singing off-key after his victory - but he is pitch perfect when it comes to fighting elections.
He read the electorate better than the pollsters and analysts, who suggested he could be beaten by the opposition. Well, not this time.
His opponent - Kemal Kilicdaroglu - was just four percentage points behind him. No doubt President Erdogan will be reflecting on that as he starts his third term in office.
This strategic Nato nation has chosen its path, most voters opting for a seasoned autocrat rather than an untested democrat in the form of Mr Kilicdaroglu.

You can spot Turkey's global strategic significance - which has starkly increased against the backdrop of the Ukraine war - by the A-list potpourri of world leaders who rushed to congratulate Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his election win on Sunday night.
First out of the box was Russian President Vladimir Putin.
He was so keen to stroke the ego of his Turkish counterpart and fellow "strongman" leader that he didn't even wait for the official results of the vote before singling out Mr Erdogan's "independent foreign policy" as a reason for his victory.

We are accustomed to defining racism as discrimination aimed exclusively at black people and other minorities. The definition must be expanded to include discrimination against whites, which is just as bad as discrimination against blacks or anyone else. What the political left calls “anti-racism” is really code language for racism against white people. An anti-white racial inquisition is poisoning America by contributing to an already divided nation. According to Gallup, the percentage of Americans who agree that black-white relations are good is at a 20-year low. A noted black college professor said, “We have to exterminate white people off the face of the planet.”

Joe Biden Sunday evening delivered remarks on his final agreement with Speaker McCarthy on the debt ceiling.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and Joe Biden on Sunday reached a final agreement on the debt limit to avert a government default.
Congress must now approve of the final bill before the June 5 deadline. Conservative House lawmakers were not happy about McCarthy’s $4 trillion debt ceiling increase with some spending caps.

New York City residents and tourists are in for a treat this Memorial Day as the phenomenon known as Manhattanhenge is set to appear for the first time this year in the city.
Manhattanhenge, first coined by astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson in 1997, only occurs four times a year – twice in May and twice in July. The spectacle occurs when the sun lines up with Manhattan's grid streets, creating a perfectly aligned sunset.
"It’s insanely popular," American Museum of Natural History astrophysicist Jackie Faherty told USA TODAY in 2020. "People plan their vacations around coming to NYC to see it."
