Fox Business is canceling Lisa Kennedy Montgomery’s self-named weekday show, Kennedy. Broadcasting & Cable learned that the network is scrapping Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. ET in order to run reruns of the Larry Kudlow show, Kudlow. Kennedy will hold its final program today, and Kudlow will air in its time slot from Monday through Thursday starting June 5. Kennedy is expected to remain at Fox News and remain a recurring figure on Outnumbered, The Five, and other programs. More from the programming shuffle: Fridays are also seeing a change at Fox Business, with Wall Street Journal at Large with Gerry

Comments:

It's an odd show. Funny at times, but probably never quite found enough viewers.

Can't say I always liked her sometimes-childish delivery but her message was always on point. Seems awkward to re-air a show at 7.

Too much competition for Jesse Watters at the main platform Fox News. Seems to be an eggs and basket kinda deal. Kennedy is far more opinionated and energetic, sometimes infuriating as a freer thinker, a whole lot funnier.

Kennedy had her moments although she never found any fault with homosexuals and their lifestyle even when it led to diseases like monkeypox. She really turned on Ned Ryun of American Majority when he suggested one way to slow the spread was for homosexuals to stop being spoiled promiscuous. And she had Marie Harf (Obama Admin flunky at State Dept. ) on a lot - barf. As for Kudlow, well, tax cuts tax cuts tax cuts....

Kennedy often had good information. Question is, who is any better? A few on NewsMax perhaps. TV overall is rarely worth the aggravation of, it seems, more time on idiotic commercials, often the same one more than once an hour, than discussion or information. We like Mike, but my goodness, there should be a limit. There can be too my much of even a great thing. Other than Rush perhaps, but there won’t be another of that category, and nobody in sight comes close.

Her show has been on for a long time, several years. I really enjoyed it; a very witty, very quick lady. At times a little too cutesie, but overall great. She does terrific on The Five, Outnumbered, etc. Looking forward to seeing her again.

Ever since she used to VJ on MTV decades ago, she has always been an interesting lady. Between her and Dagen McDowell, Fox has a couple of firecrackers on their hands. Kennedy sounds like someone who has refused to drink Rupert's koolaid, and unfortunately she will pay the price.

Most theater, film and television awards feature gendered performance categories, but in recent years, some theater ceremonies have done away with male/female distinctions. Not the Tony Awards, Broadway's highest honors. But this June, for the first time, there's a chance that a couple of non-binary performers will take home statues. "We don't gender other people's professions," said Alex Newell, who plays a female character, Lulu, in the new musical Shucked. "You say: I'm going to my doctor, I'm going to my dentist, and I need to hire a plumber." Newell, who is a self-described non-binary, non-gender-conforming actor, is nominated for

Last Thursday, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson held an event with law enforcement personnel and other “community leaders” to unveil his Memorial Day weekend “safety plan.” Holiday weekends in Chicago are notoriously violent, so Johnson’s attempt to curb it constituted his first “big test” as mayor. The consistent and senseless violence on holiday weekends is also why it was disappointing to hear so little substance during the event. Johnson briefly discussed how the Office of Emergency Management and Communications would “monitor citywide events and weather conditions” and all relevant agencies would coordinate with one another. He also tweeted that Chicago police

The idea that polluters should pay reparations for climate change is gaining steam among advocates. Some environmentalists and academics argue the companies or states that are most significantly contributing to the climate crisis should be made to compensate the people bearing the brunt of its impacts. Advocates have been calling for such reparations for years, especially since evidence emerged that fossil fuel companies were aware of the impact of carbon emissions. But the idea is now more practically achievable due to scientific advances, said Adrien Salazar, policy director at the nonprofit Grassroots Global Justice. He pointed to the increased sophistication
