The embattled former mayor of Chicago who lost her re-election bid last month after serving only one term is to teach leadership at Harvard. Lori Lightfoot, 60, presided over four years dominated by soaring crime, war with teachers' unions and police, and battles with the City Council. She stepped down on May 15 as the first mayor not to secure a second term in 40 years. Yet on Thursday the Harvard Chan School of Public Health announced Lightfoot was joining their faculty for a semester in the fall.

Mine are out of college now. One went to a female private college, one went To a private religious school, one got a degree from UGA and one went to a business school and played on the golf team. They are all ultra successful and never went to a worthless, woke, decrepit Ivy League “school”. What a ripoff these schools have become.

Someone please tell me why these so-called 'Ivy League' schools have any attractiveness at all, aside from granting (at outrageous cost) a ticket to the 'Good Old Boys & Girls Political Club'? They seem to be doing everything that they can to destroy their once-stellar reputations. Columbia pooped in the punch bowl a long time ago, and it seems that the others have followed suit in more recent years. Other than a Media Mirage of a reputation and the aforementioned 'ticket', do these schools have anything worthwhile to offer?

Have you heard this one? A Republican president and a Democratic president walked off stage after commencement speeches at military colleges three years apart. The media coverage was a joke. Then: In 2020, then-President Donald Trump slowly descended a ramp at West Point in New York after taking a weird sip of water, and mainstream media pretended it was a national crisis. New York Times: "Trump’s Halting Walk Down Ramp Raises New Health Questions" President Trump faced new questions about his health on Sunday, after videos emerged of him gingerly walking down a ramp

Over-one third of Democrats disagree with laws protecting children from “sex-change” surgery, a Rasmussen Reports survey released Thursday found. The survey asked respondents if they approve or disapprove of legislation making it illegal to perform sex-change surgeries on minors. Overall, 62 percent at least somewhat approve of those laws, and of those, 46 percent “strongly” approve. Another 30 percent at least somewhat disapprove, but that figure is even higher among Democrats, specifically, as 35 percent at least somewhat disapprove of laws preventing children from mutilating their bodies in the name of “gender-affirmation.”

Lamenting the high number of shootings in Chicago over the long Memorial Day Weekend, Smith had a question for the black community: “When are we going to look at ourselves when it comes to black people being killed in the streets of America?”Smith is right to be angry. Over the long holiday weekend, fifty-three Americans were indeed shot in Chicago alone.

A shocking bit of honesty occurred during CNN's Erin Burnett OutFront on Thursday night as the network's medical analyst recommended President Joe Biden start walking with a cane to prevent his frequent falls. The recommendation was uttered when cardiologist and former member of George W. Bush's medical team Doctor Jonathan Reiner was discussing Biden's fall from earlier in the day during a commencement address at the U.S. Air Force Academy. "This is about the third time we've seen the President fall. He fell twice going up the steps of Air Force One once in 2021 and once earlier this year," Reiner observed.
