Republican presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy has donated $10,000 to a legal defense fund for Daniel Penny, the former Marine charged with second-degree manslaughter for the death of Jordan Neely on the New York subway.
As of Monday morning an online crowdfunding campaign set up by attorneys for Penny, 24, had received around 40,000 donations, amounting to more than $1.9million.
Support for the former Marine has grown quickly, nearly doubling in less than a day.

So that’s the big news after all these years—the Russia Hoax really was a hoax. As if anyone with an IQ above room temperature ever doubted it. Here’s Zerohedge’s summary of this not-so-stunning revelation:
According to Just the News, the report concludes that the FBI had no verified intelligence or evidence when it opened up an investigation into Donald Trump and his campaign in the summer of 2016.
Durham placed blame on the FBI and DOJ for failing to follow their own standards in a probe which should have never taken place - including the agency's surveillance of an American citizen without basis.

A special counsel says the FBI should not have conducted its investigation into allegations that Donald Trump conspired with Russia during the 2016 election.
Special counsel John Durham, who was appointed by Trump-appointed Attorney General William Barr, said in the report that the FBI poorly analyzed critical pieces of information and may have acted on confirmation bias in its investigation. Durham was appointed to analyze the Trump-Russia investigation, named "Crossfire Hurricane," in 2019.
"The conduct in 2016 and 2017 that Special Counsel Durham examined was the reason that current FBI leadership already implemented dozens of corrective actions, which have now been in place for some time," the FBI said in a statement.

The report of Special Counsel John H. Durham into the origins of the “Russia collusion” investigation refutes the claims of an earlier Inspector General’s report that Democrats cited to defend the FBI and the probe itself.
In late 2019, Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz released the report of his investigation into the FBI’s “Russia collusion” probe. While Horowitz found there had been “serious performance failures,” he found no evidence of “intentional misconduct.” More broadly, he found that while the conduct of the probe — including fraudulent warrant applications — had been wrong, the investigation was opened for good reasons.

A nonpartisan seniors group warned that next year’s cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for recipients will likely be smaller in 2024 than in 2023, meaning retirees will lose purchasing power.
In a news release, The Senior Citizens League said that the COLA for 2024 could be approximately 3.1 percent for 2024, or down more than 5 percentage points from 2023’s COLA, which was 8.7. percent. The increase was the largest in more than 40 years due to high inflation amidst the winding down of COVID-19-related pandemic rules and lockdowns.
The group said that because of a likely decrease in inflation, there will be a smaller COLA adjustment.

Brennan, the CIA chief during Obama's administration, admitted to the House Judiciary Committee investigators in a four-hour closed-door deposition that the letter, which falsely claimed that emails on Hunter Biden's laptop were Russian disinformation, was 'political', Fox News reports.
Brennan's deposition comes as former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper is expected to give testimony on May 17.

Now we know that the CIA conspired with former acting director Mike Morell and the Biden campaign to produce a letter falsely claiming that emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop were Russian disinformation — and solicited signatures from at least one former intelligence official.
But there is much more to come from the House Intelligence and Judiciary committees on the origins of that “Dirty 51” letter cooked up by five former CIA directors and 46 fellow spooks to discredit The Post’s reporting on the laptop. John Brennan, the Obama-era CIA chief, admitted to House investigators in a four-hour closed-door deposition last week that the letter was “political.”

If you're like me, the news cycle is one smack to the face after the next. It's not even a "cycle" at this point; it feels more like crawling out of bed under relentless machine-gun fire of bad news and trying to survive the day without getting hit.
In this sense, getting "hit" is letting the bastards get you down (excuse my French). It's not easy, and it's not for the faint of heart. I look at it as a special challenge that all normal, non-woke, patriotic Americans must accept as part of living through this period of great change.

Residents of California have been leaving the state in droves over the last few years due to radical policies and high prices governing the state. Many former residents have been settling in more politically red states, such as Florida and Texas, which have seen immense population growth. California is the home of Hollywood, the center of the film industry. Actor Dennis Quaid explained to "Jesse Watters Primetime" why there is a push from actors to move the film industry out of California to Texas. "We want to make Texas the film capital of the world. That's what Texas used to

A leading Treasury Department official refuses to admit President Joe Biden waited until the threat of a historic default became imminent to negotiate the debt ceiling.
CNN anchor Dan Bash pressed Treasury Deputy Secretary Wally Adeyemo about the issue on Sunday, weeks ahead of what could be an unprecedented government default.“If the threat from default is so dire, why did the president wait until this month to have real negotiations about how to and where to have spending cuts in order to avert default?” Bash asked.Adeyemo dismissed the premise of the question.
He argued that Biden “didn’t wait” because he proposed a budget in March

Connecticut Democrat Senator Chris Murphy took a hard left turn into insurrectionism on Sunday. Speaking on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Murphy declared that if the Supreme Court continued to recognize the Second Amendment as a fundamental Constitutional right, then, you know, there might be a “popular revolt.”According to Murphy, the Supreme Court is illegitimate, district court judges enforcing Supreme Court decisions are just awful people, and unless the Supreme Court backs off and lets fascists at all levels of government do their thing, some bad sh** might happen.

It’s Night of the Living Dead among Democrats in the halls of the nation’s Capitol. Let’s begin with the footage of Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California being wheeled into the Capitol on Wednesday, photos and videos that were both pitiful and horrifying. Even the Democrat-enabling media was taken aback and started to turn on the Crone from California, telling her that it’s time to go. That Democrats have put the fate of the nation’s looming debt default on the shoulders of this one incoherent lawmaker is mind-boggling. Feinstein had been out of service for two and a half months due

During an appearance on FNC’s “Lawrence Jones Cross Country,” former Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) insisted Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s pursuit of charges against 24-year-old Marine veteran Daniel Penny was based on the race of Penny.
According to the former New York State Republican congressman, Penny faced prosecution because he was white.“We just looked at the GoFundMe, his defense fund, I’m sorry, it’s up to $1 million,” host Lawrence Jones said. “I mean, I know they want to include race in this, but black people, Hispanic, white — everybody is afraid on the subway right now.

At the heart of all fearmongering over the debt ceiling “crisis” is the claim that if the federal government can’t borrow more money it won’t be able to pay interest on its existing debt, leading to a default.
But that’s poppycock. The government will collect more than a trillion dollars over the next three months. (It collected $638 billion in taxes in April alone.) That will be more than enough to pay interest on the debt. And it will be enough to pay all Social Security benefits, Medicare and Medicaid bills, welfare checks, food stamps. There will even be enough

If, in 1984, an inventive New Yorker set his time travel machine to the year 2023, the city in which he arrived would confound him. Although the New York City of today looks much like that of 1984, our time traveler would have a hard time understanding the people, almost as hard a time as H.G. Wells's "Time Traveler" did when his machine arrived in the year 802,701.
The public response of the average New Yorker to the arrest of former Marine sergeant Daniel Penny calls to mind the "Eloi" response to Wells's Traveler. The Eloi were the little, pretty people of the future whom the Time Traveler encountered.

Conservative teenagers are, in general, significantly happier than their liberal peers, according to a study conducted by Columbia University.
"The politics of depression: Diverging trends in internalizing symptoms among US adolescents by political beliefs," was published in the journal Social Science & Medicine – Mental Health in December and while its findings were striking, the reason behind the trend is unclear.
Epidemiologist Catherine Gimbrone and her coauthors compared depressive attitudes of 12th-graders from 2005 to 2018 between those aligned with conservatism, which was defined in the study as "support of individual liberty, right-wing social and religious values, and unregulated free markets" and liberalism, which was defined as "support of equal

MATAMOROS, Mexico — For two red-hot weeks, this Mexican city across from Brownsville, Texas was the hottest spot for illegal immigration on the southern border.
But no more, thanks to a very unique, forceful and controversial Texas intervention that looks to become a long-term influence on national immigration policy.
Non-plussed by the empty threat of Title 42 expulsions in the final days of that hollowed-out policy tool, mostly Venezuelans in huge crowds in late April started surging into the Rio Grande water in numbers that have quickly reached some 10,000, pushing Brownsville into declaring a state of emergency.

One day, America’s black citizens will realize that Democrats always make promises they will not or cannot fulfill. The latest example is the reparations folly currently playing out in California. Black Californians are beginning to realize they were watching Kabuki reparations theater.
In September 2020, right before the big election, the California legislature enacted Assembly Bill 3121, setting up a “Task Force to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans” (snip) Despite the task force only being advisory, blacks really believed that its recommendations would send money their way. (snip) Gavin Newsom announced that there would be no reparations money for any blacks.

A former aide to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., is now a senior official within the New York State Communist Party. Records, first reported on by The New York Post, show 33-year-old Justine Medina worked for Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign for much of 2020, earning around $35,000. After working for the congresswoman, Medina was named "Co-chair of the New York Communist League" by the People’s World, a publication of the Communist Party.
The publication now lists Medina as serving on the Executive Committee of the New York State Communist Party who is also active in the Amazon Labor Union at JFK8.

It’s clear that the Democrats and their corporate media partners believe President Biden’s best chance of remaining in the White House after 2024 is to assure that his Republican opponent in the general election is former President Trump. To that end, they have launched the political equivalent of the old “pump and dump” investment scam in which fraudsters disseminate false information to artificially drive up the price of a stock and suddenly sell off their own shares when its “value” peaks.

As we reported, a federal judge in Florida on Thursday imposed a two-week temporary restraining order (TRO) on a Biden administration border policy just a few hours ahead of the expiration of public health measure Title 42. The outraged administration once again tried to undermine the nation’s judicial system, with Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre calling the ruling “sabotage”: “Let me just say on the ruling that you just laid out to me, um so look, the way we see that is sabotage,” she said.”It’s pure and simple, that’s how that reads to us.” Biden and his cohorts like Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) have a history of casting doubts
