Time for Republicans to Confront January 6 Lead Prosecutor

During the 2020 presidential election cycle, Matthew M. Graves donated $2,000 to the Biden-Harris campaign. The modest contribution was a no-brainer for Graves. Not only was he a domestic policy advisor for the campaign, he worked at the time for the same white-shoe law firm as Douglas Emhoff, Kamala Harris’ husband. Graves’ kowtowing paid off. In November 2021, Graves took the helm of one of the most politically-charged U.S. attorneys office’s in the country: the District of Columbia. Since then, Graves has escalated the pace and nature of the ongoing investigation into the events of January 6. His fixation on a four-hour disturbance that occurred more than 28 months ago

Perhaps district attorneys should be furnished public housing (yes, paid for by taxpayers) un the most dangerous high crime rate area of the city so they will have personal interest in using their office to fight crime rather than to spread their destructive politics.

"The Sixth Amendment guarantees criminal defendants nine different rights, including the right to a speedy and public trial by an impartial jury consisting of jurors from the state and district in which the crime was alleged to have been committed." What is the time limit for the 6th amendment? SPEEDY TRIAL ACT OF 1974 - DEFINING THE SIXTH AMENDMENT RIGHT. THE SPEEDY TRIAL ACT OF 1974 MANDATES THAT, BY 1980, THE PERIOD OF DELAY IN ALL FEDERAL AND DISTRICT COURTS SHALL NOT EXCEED 100 DAYS, SUBJECT TO A VARIETY OF EXCLUDABLE PERIODS OF DELAY.

In Agatha Christie’s “Murder on the Orient Express,” detective Hercule Poirot observes, “The impossible could not have happened, therefore the impossible must be possible in spite of appearances.” That may be the best summary of the findings of special prosecutor John Durham in his 305-page report issued yesterday. Not only did the impossible happen, but they all did it: the Clinton campaign, the FBI, and the media. In hindsight, it would appear impossible. A political campaign hatches a plot to create a false claim of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government.

You don’t have to read all of special counsel John Durham’s report to get to the heart of the matter: On the third page of the executive summary, he writes: “The speed and manner in which the FBI opened and investigated Crossfire Hurricane during the presidential election season based on raw, unanalyzed, and uncorroborated intelligence also reflected a noticeable departure from how it approached prior matters involving possible attempted foreign election interference plans aimed at the Clinton campaign.” There you have it, the final verdict on the 2016 presidential election: A corrupt FBI tried to rig the outcome by favoring one candidate over the other.

Former U.S. Attorney General William Barr said during an interview this week that special counsel John Durham’s report on the origins of the FBI’s investigation into former President Donald Trump “vindicated” the former president and that Trump was right from the beginning about what the Left was trying to do to him. Durham’s report found that the FBI had no evidence to support launching the investigation and found “sobering” differences in how the FBI approached the Trump probe compared to other politically sensitive investigations.Barr told Fox News anchor Bret Baier on Tuesday evening that Durham’s report was a “success” because it got to the bottom of what happened

Struggling CNN spent all of primetime ignoring John Durham's investigation that tore apart the FBI for launching a baseless probe into claims of Donald Trump's collusion with Russia. The network's two highest profile nightly shows - Primetime and Anderson Cooper 360 - each failed to mention the probe by the special counsel in two hours of programming. CNN was among liberal media outlets obsessed with Trump-Russia collusion claims when they first emerged, with since-fired former anchor Don Lemon claiming the infamous Steele Dossier had been partly corroborated.

The White House Press Secretary was blasted for abruptly ending a briefing and 'fleeing her podium' without comment when she was grilled about a recent report on how the FBI handled the Trump-Russia probe. When asked Tuesday about the White House's reaction to the special counsel report, Karine Jean-Pierre said it was a matter for the Department of Justice to speak on. Jean-Pierre closed her briefing book and left the podium without further comment, which sparked outrage online as social media users accused her of ignoring her own history of pushing the Russia collusion allegation.

Liberal commentators who pushed the claim Donald Trump colluded with Russia were delivered an embarrassing blow on Monday when John Durham's long-awaited report said there was no 'factual evidence' to justify a drawn-out FBI inquiry into the allegations. News pundits and comedians spent countless hours rehashing the theory that Trump and his campaign officials conspired with Russia to influence the 2016 election victory over Hillary Clinton. Their coverage was often couched by reference to several inquiries into the matter.

President Joe Biden issued a rare veto on Tuesday against a bipartisan measure that aims to reinstate tariffs on solar products from Southeast Asian countries after U.S. officials found China companies using these nations to get around trade rules. The measure passed by the GOP-led House and Democrat-controlled Senate “bets against American innovation,” Biden said in a message from the White House announcing the third veto of his presidency. Biden also said it causes uncertainty for the U.S. solar industry, which is central to the president’s goal of reaching a “carbon-free electricity sector” by 2035.

The FBI didn’t open any inquiry into an alleged Hillary Clinton campaign election interference plan even after the CIA director briefed then-president Barack Obama and other senior administration officials, Special Counsel John Durham’s report noted. The FBI received Russian intelligence analysis in July 2016 alleging that Clinton’s campaign cooked up a scheme to divert attention away from “her use of a private email server,” the Durham report stated. The alleged scheme, dubbed the “Clinton Plan,” showed that the Clinton campaign “had approved a campaign plan to stir up a scandal” against Trump “by tying him to Putin and the Russians’ hacking of the Democratic National Committee,”

These are bold statements for anybody to make so early in a primary cycle, let alone people who have decades of political experience. The average person could easily read those quotes attached to prominent names and assume they must be true. But as we have seen time and again

Not a shred of tangible evidence could suggest that Donald Trump was colluding with Moscow, and there was certainly not enough to greenlight a full-blown counterintelligence probe into the matter.
