Cam Newton is not his 2015 MVP self anymore, but the three-time Pro Bowler says there's another reason why he's still a free agent.
Over the years, Newton has grown out his hair for dreadlocks, and he suggests that's a reason why he remained unsigned throughout the 2022 season and is still looking for a job.
"It’s been hindered. And I’m not changin’," he said on Josina Anderson's "Undefined" podcast.
"People have hinted towards to say like, ‘Cam, we want you to go back to the 2015 clean-cut Cam. But that was a different me. Right now, where I’m at, it’s about embracing who I am."

An embattled George Soros-bankrolled prosecutor in St. Louis resigned Thursday amid a legal effort by Missouri's attorney general to fire her for allegedly neglecting her duties.
St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kimberly Gardner, the city's top prosecutor, is stepping down following repeated, bipartisan calls for her resignation from officials across the state.
Gardner's office tweeted her resignation letter, which was addressed to the people of St. Louis. Gardner is one of the first progressive prosecutors whom Soros, a liberal billionaire and Democrat mega-donor, bankrolled in 2016 and again for her re-election in 2020. She announced last month that she would seek a third term. Her resignation is effective June 1.

Conservative Presbyterians who spoke to Fox News Digital last fall laid partial blame for the mainline denomination's decline on what they described as a departure from its historical biblical teachings.

The ‘daughter’ of U.S. Rep. Katherine Clark (D-MA), who identifies as ‘nonbinary,’ has been sentenced to 30 hours of community service and will be required to write an apology letter to the police officer she assaulted during an anti-cop protest in Boston earlier this year.
Jared “Riley” Dowell, who is a biological male, has been given a one-year probation and no jail time for taking part in an Antifa rally on the Boston Common in January. Dowell, 23, spray painted “Stop Cop City” and “ACAB”, an acronym for “all cops are bastards,” on a concrete bandstand and fought officers who placed her under arrest.
