I’ve been following all the RdS updates on TCT, OP. Lots of maneuvering going on in that campaign right now. The fact that Karl Rove is pulling some major strings makes me more than wary.

I'm glad to have DeSantis as governor here in Florida, but I would prefer he stays here than run for president. All the Bush staff, never-trump and neocon war-mongers lining up to push him is a really bad sign. I hope he dumps them all, sits this one out and backs Trump.

I know some of the people advising him are loathsome RINOs, but where is the argument against any of his policies or his approach to governing? He is also great going up against the democrat run media.

I stopped believing anything Conservative Treehouse says nearly a decade ago. Tiny bits of truth mixed with lies, lies, lies all the way down. If they say the sky is blue, I won’t believe it til I look for myself. They should just call themselves “Treehouse,” ‘cause conservative they ain’t… and never were as far as I can tell. When I see an outlandish headline on Lucienne, I take a guess that it’s either Treehouse or Gateway Pundit, and I’m right 99% of the time. I can spit way farther than I believe Jim Hoft. Headline "Ga Poll DeStatis tromps Trump 48:38 head to head!"... same poll 'widened" to include anyone/everyone else? De Santis plummets 11 points...Trump stays basically the same.(629LVs 4pt margin of error) Gotta say this though..DeSantis "booksigning" turnout at 200-250 is still at LEAST double what Hillry drew to her "Rallies", and 10 times Bidens.

Ted Cruz is not a stupid man. He remembers all too well how he almost lost his reelection campaign to Robert Francis Beto-the-faux-Mexican O'Rourke a few years ago when he crossed Donald Trump. There are way too many MAGA voters in Texas who have very long memories. Cruz is a solid conservative 99% of the time, and I love it when lie-beral Demon-Rats are stupid enough to go against his extremely quick intellect and wit. They usually get chewed up in pieces. I honestly believe (as a lifetime Texas) that Cruz has been getting tons of positive feedback as he as been a very vocal supporter of President Trump in this whole evil idiocy going on in New York right now. I can't believe he would be stupid enough to throw that away at this point in his life!!!!! But if Cruz goes against Trump in 2024, his political future will be dead in Texas.

Many of the people supporting DeSantis are Never Trumpers. This does not make DeSantis a bad person, it only requires us to look carefully at his policies. Because the MSM portrays Trump so negatively, he has to overcome both the Democrats and the MSM to get his policies out. Trump needs to emphasize how well everyone was doing under his administration and name people who will be part of his administration who will work with him to drain the swamp.

I listened this morning to DeSantis give the Keynote Address at a Conservative conference being held this weekend in Pennsylvania. He spoke as Florida's governor, and it is clear he likes being the Governor there. My takeaway from hearing him is he knows which side of bread is buttered. Don't sweat it, Floridians. You are still making nearly 49 other states jealous.

Everyone on this site knows I am for Trump and it’s for a pretty simple reason. I trust him. He is a known entity and I believe he will not betray us because he has the same goal and that is to save this country from the evil democrat party that has cheated, lied, and bullied their way to power. The danger that is crushing us is when democrats absorbed the DOJ and began their assault on justice. That one act is the most dangerous and as it stands today, they intend to use it as a weapon against President Trump and eventually anyone who supports him. I am flummoxed by Republicans who cannot see the power that would be generated for our side if they would, for once in their pathetic lives, understand that uniting to support Trump would be the logical thing to do. This is not their granddaddy’s election process and the stakes have never been higher. They know, the Republic is hanging by a thread and without a win in 2024, it’s over for us. This infighting will give democrats the victory. We have one path forward. We unite in solidarity and get serious about saving this country. Trump’s base is the Republican Party and I guarantee that peeling off votes from that loyal group is not going to happen. The same people who gave us nothing but democrat lite are a stubborn but vocal minority in the Republican Party who would rather lose than win with Trump. It makes no sense. His accomplishments are unparalleled and his loyalty to this country and its people cannot be denied. What has gone on in this country during the Biden regime is absolute lawlessness. Unfortunately, the cabal inside the Republican Party are much like democrats. They hate us too but use us to maintain the status quo. They are embarrassed by the idea of a government by, of and for the people. Their strategy is to dump the most successful President in modern history because they do not approve his America first agenda. They abhor the concept of making America great again because it is driven by what we the people want and is firmly against their mega donors’ self-serving agenda. Rinos have never done much for the people or the country but they certainly have spent money we don’t have, fought wars that were not in our best interests, and worst of all have been completely ineffectual when it was clear the government was going off the rails. The only thing this Republican cabal wants is to protect the status quo and I will not vote for anyone they support. I am done with Rove, the Bushes, Cheney’s, Romney, Hutchinson, Collins, Murkowski, and their ilk. These anti-Trump fools along with their counterparts in the media and political consulting class will surrender a win to democrats if they insist upon dividing us. They are more than willing to enable democrats to continue to lead us down the path of destruction if it means they get rid of Trump. Americans are opposed to that. We have experienced life under a Trump administration and we are not ever going back. Trump 2024.

#14, I love the passion in your posts.... that being said, Senator Cruz has already started his campaign for re-election as Senator from Texas. Back to post-- The near religious fervor for Mr. Trump is almost to the point of worship for him like the zealots for NoBama. Neither men walk on water and the media pile on with Mr. Trump has been constant and unrelenting. The term "astroturfing" to prop up certain ideas and polices is what the news media and social media in all its forms has become-- and there are few persons who can discern the Truth from the LIES which we are FORCE-FED DAILY.... The entire Mueller investigation, impeachment 1 & 2 was all based on the FAKE NEWS and LEAKED fake news, and TRUMP is still standing. Now he gets media overload attention for some documents he had stored while the Vegetable has done the same thing to HIDE his corrupt dealings and they keep finding MORE. This whole media frenzy over Trump is to COVER UP the corruption of BiteMe and his disgraceful son and brother so they are OUT of the news cycle. CTH has some interesting things from time to time as well as the Hofts, but don't take everything they say as political gospel. For a time, the Matt Drudge site was useful, but that is why Lucianne is so indespensible-- the news is aggregated by the people who post it here! Its is nearing time for everyone to prepare for the Lord's mighty return as we enter this time of preparation and tribulation for this blessed Event-- are you all ready? Turn your eyes upon Jesus!

The best way to cut through the BS (on both sides) is to know what you are looking for in advance. One would be surprised by how much that is said becomes instantly irrelevant. Especially all the personal attacks. They are BS. I watch their policies and whether or not I find them believable. What I look for most is how they are going to handle our crushing debt which is the source of most of our problems. From what I see, none of them has supplied an adequate answer. That includes Trump, but at least he seems closer to the target than any of them. There is plenty of opportunity for a candidate, but I'm not holding my breath. The sad truth is I doubt any of them know what to do.

I voted for Trump twice. But I knew he was going to lose for reelection because except for my father in law, my large Republican family detested, loathed, Trump. Democrats turned out in stunning numbers not because they liked Biden but because they so hated Trump. It is an interesting Socratic question for those who worship Trump: Why do so many Americans hate him? Put aside for a moment the issues of The Swamp, etc.-- that is not why they hate him-- and see, as an intellectual exercise, whether you can answer the question from their point of view. Rinktum I always admire your posts. You are smart and articulate, and you are correct in so much of what you say. But you are missing the forest for the trees. The questions surrounding 2024 are complex, no doubt. And critical. But the simple, clear truth is that if Trump runs again he will lose again. Of that I feel absolutely certain. And to those of you who are preparing your "troll!!!!" posts, you are juvenile and tiresome.

Bloomberg reported, “U.S. Bank Deposits and Lending Both Dropped Last Week Amid Turmoil. “Deposits fell nearly $126 billion, while bank loans retreated. Hippocrates wrote, in Of the Epidemics, “The physician must…. have two special objects in view with regard to disease, namely, to do good or to do no harm.” (snip) The Texas Medical Board, however, does not see it that way. Because Dr. Eric Hensen of Palestine, Texas, did not universally force his ear-nose-and-throat patients to block their airways by masking, the TMB has suspended his medical license. Even so, I believe the New York prosecutor has stretched to reach felony criminal charges in order to fit a political agenda. No one is above the law, not even former presidents, but everyone is entitled to equal treatment under the law.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg reportedly asked Judge Juan Marchan to hold the trial of former President Donald Trump in January 2024, which happens to be the middle of the presidential primary season. Fox News reporter Jake Gibson, who was in the courtroom, said that prosecutors had asked for the January 2024 trial date.
