Sen. Kennedy stumps Biden nominee with
basic questions about the Constitution

A Biden judicial nominee was unable to answer basic questions about the U.S. Constitution posed by Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., during a Senate hearing on Wednesday. Judge Charnelle Bjelkengren, of Spokane County Superior Court in Washington State, was nominated by President Biden to serve on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington. During her confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Bjelkengren could not answer Kennedy's questions about what different parts of the U.S. Constitution do and how courts might interpret laws.

When law schools enlist marxists to teach a version of deconstructed Constitutionalism. When no real history is taught to kids graduating from High school, you have nominees who get their politics from captain planet and echo chambers of liberal thought. Ninth amendment? Tenth amendment? Ten commandments? United States bad, United Natoins good. Opposing points of view evil.

Did any of the nominees go to law school? Did they not know the answers in law school? Did any of the nominees take Civics in school? Jeesh, those legal scholars (I use this term very, very, loosely) have any clue about the law other than making up laws? The answers to the above questions are yes, no, no, no and hell no. But they all check the Democrat identity boxes. We are f#$%@d!

Judge Charnelle Bjelkengren’s law school diploma is not worth the cost of the paper it is printed on. According to her Wikipedia page, she never practiced law. Her Wikipedia page did include an account of her ignorance of the Constitution and the law. Those details were deleted within the last five minutes.

Wow. These are basic questions and to be unable to answer them would totally embarrass most people, not so for a democrat! They actually believe their political affiliation is all that is required. A (D) after their name is mighty powerful until it is not and they get embarrassed on national TV. This is shameful and proves democrats are only interested in promoting one of their own even if that person is totally unqualified. I am sure there are better nominees out there. Maybe not considering their leader is a lying incompetent and he doesn’t set the bar that high.

Nine people were wounded Monday evening when gunfire erupted along a beachside promenade in Hollywood, Florida, sending people frantically running for cover along the crowded beach on Memorial Day. The shooting happened on the Hollywood Oceanfront Broadwalk near a convenience store, a Ben & Jerry's ice cream store and a Subway sandwich shop. The Hollywood Police Department said Tuesday that investigators had obtained surveillance footage from the area showing two people they believe were involved in the shooting. The department released the surveillance video alongside still images of the individuals and asked that anyone who recognizes them contact police.

The bureau’s latest refusal to turn over the unclassified FD-1023 document detailing an informant’s criminal allegations against Biden, 80, came during a briefing between the Oversight Committee and FBI staff. Comer (R-Ky.) is expected to reveal the panel’s next steps in the quest for the document sometime this week.

United States Army Sergeant Daniel Perry was sentenced to 25 years in prison on Wednesday for the fatal shooting 28-year-old Air Force veteran Garrett Foster in 2020. In 2020, according to Perry’s defense, Foster had approached Perry’s car with a rifle during Black Lives Matter protest. Perry said he then shot Foster in self-defense when the man had pointed his rifle at him. The Army Sergeant said that he was working as a ride-share driver at the time, and had just dropped off a client, unaware that protests were taking place. According to Perry’s attorneys, he kept a weapon in his vehicle for personal protection.

Alvin Bragg’s theory is that because Trump lived in D.C., then Florida, the felony limitations period in New York is still open. He’s wrong. We have recently learned a few more things about the charges brought by District Attorney Alvin Bragg against former President Donald Trump. One thing is for sure. The D.A.’s team checked some of their basic knowledge of the law at the door. In New York, misdemeanors must be prosecuted within two years of the date of the offense. Felonies like those Bragg has alleged must be prosecuted within five years or be forever barred by the statute of limitations.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton asked a federal court on Tuesday to bar the Biden administration from enforcing the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023, claiming Congress failed to constitutionally pass the massive spending bill. While the court is unlikely to freeze the entire $1.7 trillion appropriation, Texas presents a strong case for halting two aspects of the bill. In February, the Texas attorney general sued the Biden administration, arguing the House of Representatives lacked the constitutionally mandated quorum to pass the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023. Paxton is now seeking a preliminary injunction to bar the federal government from enforcing the law.

The idea that polluters should pay reparations for climate change is gaining steam among advocates. Some environmentalists and academics argue the companies or states that are most significantly contributing to the climate crisis should be made to compensate the people bearing the brunt of its impacts. Advocates have been calling for such reparations for years, especially since evidence emerged that fossil fuel companies were aware of the impact of carbon emissions. But the idea is now more practically achievable due to scientific advances, said Adrien Salazar, policy director at the nonprofit Grassroots Global Justice. He pointed to the increased sophistication
