The FBI again refused to comply Monday with House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer’s subpoena for a document that allegedly details a pay-to-play scheme involving then-Vice President Joe Biden.
The bureau’s latest refusal to turn over the unclassified FD-1023 document detailing an informant’s criminal allegations against Biden, 80, came during a briefing between the Oversight Committee and FBI staff.
Comer (R-Ky.) is expected to reveal the panel’s next steps in the quest for the document sometime this week.

The House can’t compel anything, least of all the FBI.

THIS is why the voters gave the Republicans the majority - overcoming fraud. If they fail to act decisively then they become part of the problem.

An agency above the law? We are in trouble.

"is expected to reveal the panel’s next steps in the quest"
The theatrics are orchestrated by Attorney General Merrick "Gestapo" Garland and FBI Director Christopher "Wicked" Wray.
Quest?

The House is going to have to start taking their cases to the courts. Sadly, they probably have to head to the DC Kangaroo (sorry, Kangaroos for the insult) Courts but I'd sure start quick. And any Republican AG's and others who can start mussing up things by indicting Democrat and deep state crooks with overdue library books on up should get started.
It's time to start playing hardball.

I like the first option
What’s the point of holding someone in contempt of Congress?
“Contempt may be used either to coerce compliance, to punish the contemnor, and/or to remove the obstruction,” the Congressional Research Service said.
There are several ways members of Congress can do this:
1) They can tell the House or Senate sergeant-at-arms to detain or imprison the person in contempt until he or she honors congressional demands. This is called “inherent contempt.” But it’s extremely rare and hasn’t happened in modern times.
2) Congress can vote on criminal contempt, then make a referral to the executive branch – headed by the President – to try to get the person criminally prosecuted. A month or more jail sentence is a possibility if a witness won’t comply, under the law. This is the approach members of Congress have indicated publicly they’d want to pursue. It’s unclear how quickly this route would move, and how the Biden Justice Department would respond to a contempt referral from the Democrats in the House.
3) Congress can ask the judicial branch to enforce a congressional subpoena. In other words, Congress can seek a federal court’s civil judgment saying the person is legally obligated to comply with the subpoena

The House issued a Legal Binding Subpoena, it is up to Wray/Garland to fully comply.
IF they do not I suggest they be forced to show up for questioning, and if they do NOT bring the document with them slap them in the J6 Hell Hole until their learn they are NOT above the Law!

The Republicans never can do anything. The nation is not a nation of law, but a nation of the Democrat Party.

Is it any surprise. The main role of the Justice Department under the last few Democrat Presidents has been to cover for them, The FBI is part of the Justice Department. Don't expect any cooperation there. If the FBI does turn over any documents, expect them to be completely redacted. The Republican response will be a might wringing of their hands.

The FBI/KGB is an entirely corrupt, criminal subsidiary of the Dem-Communist Party.

Clearly the Democrat politically oriented super bureaucrats who run the federal executive agencies have no fear that any wimpy congressional Republican issued subpoenas will be enforced against them, since the DC Federal Courts that would do that are under Democrat control.

Instead of stomping your little feet, how about just waiting until we have a Republican President. THEN demand you get the Document you want or the HEAD of the FBI will be fired! Start with that. Maybe defunding them might have to be done to straighten out that Hot Mess!

Rush was right and now we're just railing at our jailers.
They will NEVER give up power as long as they can manipulate elections, of which they have shown themselves to be masters.

Throw the corrupt low life trash the 2 foot drip Wray out. For good measure toss a few of the other corrupt low lives out. He might get the drift.
