President Joe Biden pushed an “assault weapons” ban in response to the Club Q shooting that occurred Saturday night in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Breitbart News reported that the 911 calls about the shooting were placed just before midnight Saturday, and KOAA noted the incident ended when the suspect was subdued and disarmed by patrons. CNN pointed out that the suspect used “a long rifle,” which was one of two firearms recovered at the scene by police. Biden released a statement on the incident, which began by saying, “While no motive in this attack is yet clear, we know that the LGBTQI+ community has been subjected to horrific hate violence in recent years. 

Former U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan said on a Sunday morning news program that he is a "never-again-Trumper" and that Donald Trump is "unelectable." Ryan, a Republican who represented Wisconsin's 1st Congressional District for 20 years, was speaker of the House from 2015 to 2019. He told correspondent Jonathan Karl on ABC's "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" in the wake of Trump's announced run that Republicans would lose if they backed Trump for president in 2024. “We get past Trump, we start winning elections. Rep. Two-thirds of Americans say rising prices across the board will affect their Thanksgiving plans this year, a survey from The Vacationer revealed. The survey asked respondents if high levels of inflation are affecting their Thanksgiving plans this year. The vast majority said the country’s current economic state is, in fact, affecting their plans in some way. A 22-year-old man was taken into police custody early Sunday morning after two heroic clubgoers tackled him to the ground to stop him from firing more rounds at a gay nightclub. Five people died in the shooting at Club Q in Colorado Springs Saturday night, and 18 others were injured. Authorities say Anderson Lee Aldrich entered the gay club just before midnight and fired an unknown number of bullets from his AR-15-style long rifle before he was stopped by at least two 'heroic' patrons. Early reports suggest the gunman was wearing bulletproof armor at the time.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., on Sunday vowed to remove Democratic Reps. Eric Swalwell, Adam Schiff and Ilhan Omar from their congressional committees when Republicans retake control in the new Congress. During an appearance on Fox News’ "Sunday Morning Futures," McCarthy told anchor Maria Bartiromo that he will keep the promise he made in January to remove Swalwell and Schiff from the House Intelligence Committee and Omar from the House Foreign Affairs Committee. The suspect in the overnight mass shooting at an LGBTQ nightclub in Colorado Springs has been identified as Anderson Lee Aldrich. He was injured and is in custody after a total of five people were shot and killed and at least 17 people were hurt. He is 22 and police haven't released his photo. They also didn't share any motive for the shooting. "The motive of the crime is part of the investigation and whether this was a hate crime is part of that investigation," Colorado Springs Police Department Deputy Chief Adrian Vasquez said. Police are investigating after an older couple was brutally attacked while leaving an Elton John concert at Dodger Stadium on Thursday night. The owner of the car said this has become a sad routine for him and his family. Working on his car has always been a pastime for Juergen Waldvogel. “This is the third time that we’ve experienced this in the last year, maybe two,” Waldvogel said. A shooting at an LGBTQ club in Colorado Springs killed five people and injured 18 others overnight, police said early Sunday. Lt. Pamela Castro, a police spokesperson, told reporters the suspect was injured, in custody and receiving treatment at a hospital. It was not immediately clear whether the suspect was one of the 18 injured. She declined to comment on a motive and said the FBI was assisting in the investigation.

Among the most troubling issues raised in the letter directed to Thomas Liddy with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office was the apparent co-mingling of ballots in black duffle bags in at least one polling location, which were successfully run through the on-site tabulators with those put in “Door 3” to be sent to the Election Department’s downtown Phoenix tabulation center because they could not be read.
