Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot stripped

It’s been three months since Chicago Mayor Lightfoot stripped me of my Chicago media credentials. I’m still waiting for a federal judge — an Obama appointee and former co-worker of Lightfoot — to restore my First Amendment rights. I’ve been a credentialed journalist in Chicago for more than a decade. (Snip) As a native of Chicago’s South Side, I grew up believing that Chicago was the greatest city in the history of the world. Even if that was once true, it isn’t anymore. Thanks to Mayor Lightfoot, I fear that the Chicago I used to know, and love is gone for good.

Kelly, you need to understand that Mayor Buckwheat and her city are a danger to anyone who lives there. Doesn't matter what color you are. The societal decline in Chicago is permanent and irreversible. Being a white guy in Chicago puts you in an especially very bad position. As #1 notes, get out while you are still able to get out. And take your family and kin with you.

I worked in downtown Chicago for 30 years and spent thousands each year on dinners, theater, shopping and sporting events. Since Mayor Rugmuncher took over I have not spent a dime and neither have my friends

CPR mannequins aren't diverse enough -

Mannequins used to practice life-saving CPR aren't diverse enough, doctors have claimed. Researchers want to ditch the reliance on default 'lean white male' models. Doing so will help overcome 'bias' among bystanders and help improve the survival of other groups, they say. This, the team claim, would be done by 'changing the perception of sudden cardiac death' — meaning people recognise it doesn't just happen to white men. Academics from Canada and Argentina found fewer than 10 per cent of mannequins used to promote CPR on social media represented black or Asian people. None were of pregnant women and barely any were of fat people, according to the study.

Stick a fiscal fork in ’em: These student loan debtors are done. As they contend with a second legal setback to President Biden’s estimated $430 billion student debt cancellation plan, some exasperated borrowers told The Post they won’t ever pay another penny toward their massive tabs — regardless of how it might impact their future finances. (Snip) Four distraught debtors, meanwhile, told The Post they’ll become student loan scofflaws amid widespread uncertainty and growing calls for Biden to extend the payment pause yet again.

Fans love that Tim Allen is reprising his role as Santa for the Disney+ miniseries, “The Santa Clauses,” but some critics are complaining he’s too much of a “right-wing Santa.” The 69-year-old actor is one of the few openly conservative people in Hollywood. This makes it no surprise that critics zeroed in on a single line in the new “Santa Clauses” series (Snip) In one scene, Allen’s character complains about the state of modern society. “’Saying ‘Merry Christmas to all’ has suddenly become problematic,” he observes. “What was going on in the minds of the writers as they penned this semi-political one-liner?” an article on The A.V. Club wondered.

President Biden told the nations of the world Friday he regretted that former President Donald Trump had pulled the US out of a landmark emissions-reduction pact — hours after making a series of gaffes while leaving the White House for the trip. (Snip) Asked by a reporter whether he was hopeful the Russia-Ukraine would end soon, the president mixed up “Russia” and “Ukraine,” “Colombia” and “Cambodia” and said incorrectly that he was visiting “Cairo” in Egypt rather than Sharm el-Sheikh, about 300 miles away.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) telling people to “stop” taking ivermectin for COVID-19 was informal and just a recommendation, government lawyers argued during a recent hearing. “The cited statements were not directives. They were not mandatory. They were recommendations. They said what parties should do. They said, for example, why you should not take ivermectin to treat COVID-19. They did not say you may not do it, you must not do it. They did not say it’s prohibited or it’s unlawful. They also did not say that doctors may not prescribe ivermectin,” Isaac Belfer, one of the lawyers, told the court during the Nov. 1 hearing in federal court

Arizona Assistant Attorney General Jennifer Wright — with the Elections Integrity Unit — wrote a letter to the Maricopa County officials Saturday demanding an accounting for the widespread ballot tabulation and ballot printer problems seen during the general election on Nov. 8. Among the most troubling issues raised in the letter directed to Thomas Liddy with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office was the apparent co-mingling of ballots in black duffle bags in at least one polling location, which were successfully run through the on-site tabulators with those put in “Door 3” to be sent to the Election Department’s downtown Phoenix tabulation center because they could not be read.

Kumar appeared as a guest host on MSNBC’s "Velshi," where a panel discussed former President Trump’s effect on the Republican Party. The discussion soon focused on DeSantis as a kind of successor to "Trumpism" for his rise in popularity However, Kumar claimed that his success, even in the state of Florida, is due not to DeSantis’ record as governor, but because he "gerrymandered" the state.
