House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) went down to the House floor on Thursday to announce her farewell to the Democratic leadership and the American people. In her speech, Pelosi announced that she would not be seeking reelection to the Democratic congressional leadership in the upcoming Congress. (Video) In doing so, she described herself as a “devout Catholic” and a “patriotic American” “My colleagues, I stand before you as Speaker of the House. As a wife. A mother. A grandmother. A devout Catholic. A proud Democrat,” said Pelosi. “And a patriotic American: a citizen of the greatest Republic in the history of the world.”

The Department of Education will soon announce the extension of the freeze, according to a report from CNN. The first payments will be due two months after June 30, unless the Supreme Court greenlights the administration’s debt forgiveness program beforehand. A similar report from Bloomberg quoted multiple unnamed sources.

Over a dozen Republican states are urging a judge to keep Title 42, a major Trump-era border policy, according to court documents filed Monday.
Arizona, Louisiana, Alabama, Alaska, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia and Wyoming asked D.C. Judge Emmet Sullivan if they could intervene in the case in which Title 42, which has been used to expel over one million migrants to mitigate the COVID-19 pandemic, was overturned, according to the request. Sullivan ruled on Nov. 15 that the Biden administration must end the policy in late December, giving them time to prepare for an expected influx of illegal migrants at the southern border.

I don't know about you, but I just feel relieved that Nancy Pelosi has stepped down from leadership of the House Democrats.
But is it true that "Nancy Pelosi Lacked the Most Basic Skill of Great Legislators"? Or that "Nancy Pelosi will rightfully go down as one of the greatest speakers in the history of the U.S. House"?
The answer to both questions is, of course: Yes.
Who cares if Nancy Pelosi was not a great legislator? She did not become House Speaker to craft great legislation. She was there to ram through big government spending bills that distributed loot and plunder to Democrat voters and powerful interests and approved activists.

The sting operation, conducted from October 22 to November 4, saw ICE agents arrest 138 illegal aliens who are convicted sex offenders — including those guilty of rape.
A number of the illegal alien sex offenders were arrested in sanctuary states or cities.
